MOTHERS AND NATURE

I have been trying to meditate but all I “see” are these larvae of the gypsy moths. I am sitting here waiting to be inspired so that I may inspire you but all that seems to come through is my concern about this problem and my need to solve it. Sooo, I am surrendering to my concern but I will share with you my journey with these veracious eaters of our trees.

The birds and squirrels seem hungrier than usual and there are more of each species. There are so many in fact, that my hummingbirds hardly come to their feeders because with so much activity, they are having a hard time not being hit by them.  The squirrels this year are the worst as they are landing on the Oriole Feeders and consuming all the grape jelly.  I saw one squirrel hugging my bird feeder but then noticed that it was eating and chomping. I went out and discovered that the varmint had chewed a hole through the long clear plastic tube that holds the seeds.  It is supposed to be squirrel proof and I have had one like it for 10 years and this never happened.  It is not cheap as it is $70 -$80 and I see no way to fix it.  I will take it to the Bird Store and bird people to see what can be done but I don’t hold out much hope.

I got up this morning to discover the Oriole feeder on the ground and I could not see the hook on the tree that it was hanging from. I went out and discovered that the squirrel had landed on the feeder and when it jumped off it sent the feeder careening off and the other end of the hook was hooked onto another branch.  Part of the feeder, a seating place, had been broken off. I am seriously considering trapping these squirrels and bring them for a ride to another place with trees far enough away that they cannot find their way home.  I don’t want to do this but I see no way of stopping all four of them.

Anyway, back to the larvae.  I place the Oriole feeders on the railing of my deck to fill it with grape jelly.  I noticed so many small black things which I thought to be small ants.  I made a decision to wash it down since I must have gotten some jelly on it that was attracting the ants.  I took another look and then came into the house to get my reading glasses.  They were not ants but very small caterpillars that were the size of ants.  Oh boy, what to do now.  They were all over the railing, climbing up my house and also the garage.  I made up a concoction and sprayed it on them and I hope the Northeaster we are expecting this weekend will wash them all away as the concoction did its work. I don’t dare put that concoction on my tree because I don’t know if it will harm it or not.

I played cards at the Senior Center last night and spoke to others about my dilemma and they gave me ideas that I hope to implement to keep these critters from getting bigger and defoliating my tree. AS soon as I send this newsletter off to you, I need to get on the phone and call around to see where I can find the equipment and goo that hopefully will be the solution. My heart is heavy as I do not like to harm anything even if it is an ant or spider.  I feel that I did not have a choice in this matter but it doesn’t make me feel any better about doing what I have to do.  No wonder I cannot meditate or connect to Spirit right now as I usually do.

Esther Hicks makes me laugh at my problems and also my reasoning.  She amazes me, astounds me and brings levity to whatever is heavy on my heart.  I would love to be able to reason like she does.  Of course, I realize that she also has contact with Abraham and that makes me chuckle at myself again.  You and I have just as much info waiting for us when we connect to the Divine.  Sometimes, I just can’t seem to get there so just listening to her makes me feel lighter.

Can you believe that Pope Francis was on the TED show?  This Pope is truly the Pope for all humanity.  Instead of enjoying his pomp and circumstance, he insists on being treated like a regular person, just like you.  Yet, he spends so much of his time traveling and “being” with all of humanity with his love and tenderness.  He is such an example of Jesus who spent most of his time with the everyday person instead of with the rulers of his day. I have hope that his message of love is heard by you and me.

Please forgive me for dabbling in the past but this story touched my heart and brought back so many memories.  My mom also had dementia and I bought her a robotic orange tabby cat just like the last live cat she ever had which she had named Trouble.  In her mind, this fake cat was her “Trouble” and she would go nowhere without it.  She brought him to the cafeteria so he would have lunch with her and the others.  He ended up with quite a dirty mouth because she kept feeding him.  He went with her to the hospital also, he kept her calm.  This “cat” made a lot of seniors happy and the staff enjoyed him also.  Eventually, I had to buy her another one because the fur was rubbed off her first one and I just could not wash his face any longer.  If you have a beloved in a nursing facility, consider getting one of these “human made pets”.

Sunday is Mother’s Day, honor your mother.  It takes so little to make her happy and it makes you happy also.  I want all of you mothers to honor yourself and allow yourself to be pampered today and if you are alone, pamper yourself with whatever makes you happy.

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY TO ALL

Happy Mother’s Day! This is a special day for all females whether you have ever borne a child or not. You have the WOMB which I was told by Mother Mary, The Divine Feminine, is the same as the CHALICE. They both hold the Blood of Life. Without you and your female organ, humanity would cease to exist on Earth. See how important and valuable you are? Love yourself and as you do you will spread Love to all you see, touch and even think about. How about Mother Earth or Mother Nature? They are also mothers and they nurture us as we stumble around trying to find out who we are. You are who you are supposed to be. You are right where you are supposed to be. You are doing exactly what you came to Earth for. Honor yourself as God honored you by endowing you with the capacity to create life with the male so that you could propagate LOVE. LOVE is what this planet and humanity needs and that is why you were created female; that you may spread LOVE. Do you know anyone who does not see a baby and make a fool of themselves to make that baby smile, or coo, or just feel safe?

I am so excited as the Baltimore Orioles are here. They are my favorite bird and they are here for only 3 months to mate, have babies and then when the little ones are old enough, they all leave to fly north again. Just before I left for a seminar last Saturday, one appeared at my window and said:” I am here so where is my grape jelly?” So, of course, I got the feeders out and put grape jelly in them before I left for the day. There are so many this year and they are so beautiful; such vibrant orange whose vibrancy is being brought out by the black surrounding it. I have only seen one female and that was on the fly so I don’t know where the females are. Usually the males come first and create the nest and the females follow a little later. There is one junior upstart whose very presence chases away the older ones. He is so aggressive to them; he kicks them out all the time. He even eats aggressively. I am sure he will meet another one who will set him down a peg and then he will be fine. He is young and is feeling his oats.

My lawn has already been mowed three times and the trees are just beginning to bud. There is so much water from the rain and the melting snow that the grass is growing in leaps and bounds. When you live on a lake, there is no lack of moisture for the grass. Mother Nature does give us the beauty that we see all around us. Are you taking the time to enjoy what is outside? You have been cooped up for so many months, spend a few minutes inhaling and enjoying the clean and refreshing outdoor air. Then take minute to look around and marvel at the birth of all the flowers, insects and animals. You will feel loved if you do that. Watch this video and FEEL the love coming at you from everywhere.

This is the time of year that we start to move. We clean out our drawers, closets, garages and maybe even our desk. There seems to be much we want to accomplish. I know you think you have much to do, that it is difficult to find the time for yourself. Please watch this video and you will relax, take a breath and feel that ALL IS WELL. The gift of being on earth is to just BE!

Mother’s Day is a day when most families get together to visit Mom. It is a day to be enjoyed and a day to be with family. Here is a video that will give you the courage to ask all to shut off their cell phones especially the young ones. They need to experience what it is like to actually talk and visit with their family without the interruption of the technology that nags them every minute. If they want technology, share the video with them and watch their attitude change.

SIGNS FROM MOTHER NATURE – LOVE, JOY AND MOTHER’S DAY

How has the energy of the eclipses been treating you? Everyone is
being treated fairly. Whatever you haven’t dealt with yet, will
come up for you to look at again. It has been challenging but also
rewarding as we are faced with old scenarios yet we are being given
the strength and ingenuity to see them differently so we can absorb
he blessing and wisdom that comes with them. This article can give
you some food for thought in using the NOW energies.

Mother Nature is giving me a lot of nurturing signals. Have you ever
smelled a tulip? I cannot be sure that I ever tried but Tuesday
morning as I pulled up at my Svaroopa Yoga’s studio, “The Centered
Place” I was just pulled in by the beauty of the flowers growing there.
The owner has the greenest thumb that I have ever experienced and it
was a joy just to see what the earth was yielding. I could not help
myself but there were red tulips closest to the driveway so I bent
down to smell it. I was stunned, the tulip had a fragrance and it
was an aroma that I have never ever smelled before. I happily went
in and mentioned it to my teacher, the owner and she smiled and we
got down to doing yoga, On the way out, I could not help myself
again so I bent down and smelled it again and then went around
smelling all the different colored tulips which all had a distinct
fragrance. My teacher and her husband came out and they both smelled
the tulips and were surprised by the fragrance. Have you ever heard
of a perfume or essence called tulip? My heart was singing as I had
discovered something I never knew before and I felt like it was a
gift to me from heaven and the angels. Try smelling a tulip not
the ones in the store but one that is growing in the ground. You
just might be pleasantly surprised and get a marvelous gift.

Tuesday night I received a call that stunned me and plunged me down
into an emotion that I never wanted to feel again. No, no one died
but my heart fell to the floor as I was being asked for help that I
was not willing to give. I then had to get off the phone because I was
so upset that I was shouting. So much for the calmness and serenity
that I had experienced that morning. My mind was whirling as I could
not make sense of what I had just heard. A loved one was asking for
help which was making me judge and jury and I did not like that
emotion. What could I do to help without causing more of a cascade
down into the hellish situation. Sometimes, tough love is the only
answer but that tore at my heart also. I prayed all night for wisdom
and for an answer. The following day, I agreed to help but with
strict regulations. This episode made me judge myself and the other
one quite harshly and I knew that was not the answer. To me, LOVE
is the only answer to any situation but there are many ways to
implement it. I had been given an opportunity to return to a
situation and feeling that I thought I had put behind me. Has
that ever happened to you? I opted for thinking positive and to
keep the scenarios running around in my head to only positive
outcomes. I spent a lot of energy observing myself and the thoughts
that kept creeping in. The situation has not been solved yet but
it is getting easier to keep my thoughts on a positive note. That
is a muscle I would like to strengthen even more. I am also getting
the chance to practice unconditional Love on myself and others.

Here is a different perspective and how we can turn our thoughts
around to find joy.

This morning as I was doing dishes, I suddenly saw a Baltimore
Oriole at the feeder in front of my window. I was shocked as I have
not seen a hummingbird yet and they usually come in around two weeks
earlier. I had put out food for both species because it was later
than usual for their appearance. 20 Minutes later, there was
a hummingbird at the feeder. My heart jumped for joy as these
are my favorite birds. An hour later, there was a Grosbeak at
my feeder and this is one that is rare for me to see. Suddenly
I KNEW that I was getting messages from them so I went to my book,
Animal-Speak to see what messages they were trying to tell me.

Baltimore Oriole – keynote is THE WEAVING OF SUNSHINE. when the
Oriole shows up, look for sunshine to show up within a two week
period. Orange/yellow and black are the colors of the Archangel
Auriel who oversees all nature spirit activity upon the planet. The
Oriole will help you to weave new sunshine into any area of life you
desire. It will help you to rediscover your own inner child and a
renewed sense of joy in your life.

Hummingbird – keynote is TIRELESS JOY AND THE NECTAR OF LIFE
It is a symbol for accomplishing that which seems impossible. It will
teach you how to find the miracle of joyful living from your own
life circumstances.

I usually only look up animals, insects or birds that I rarely see
as I feel they are specifically speaking to me whereas the ones I
see and enjoy all the time are simply there and not coming to speak
to me. The Grosbeak is just such a one that I rarely see but with
them all coming in such a short time, I felt that they were all
trying to get me to pay attention to their messages.

Grosbeak – keynote HEALING OF THE FAMILY HEART It has on its chest
a rose-colored triangle that looks like a bleeding heart. This can
help teach us to heal all of the old wounds and hurts of family
origin. The Grosbeak can help us to see our family relationships as
a true melody – each note separate but part of a larger whole. They
can help us to see how our family has affected many of our life
patterns.

I truly feel that this grosbeak was sent to me for Mother’s Day and
it was also meant for you just until they leave your nest.

Now you can see what these eclipses are capable of, both challenging
and yet so miraculous. I wish you all the joy that has been given
to me this day. Look for the joys and they will appear and you
will be surprised how they show up.
