RELISHING THE GOOD NEWS

Today is officially the first day of Fall.  The leaves are turning and dropping softly to the ground.  Have you jumped into a pile of dry leaves lately?  It is an exciting time to be on Earth and all that she has to offer.  She also gives us an excuse to go for a ride to admire her creativity with colors and schemes. Humans are gathering together more often and there is much to be offered to all of us as we consider all the holidays that we will be celebrating. Check out these happenings.

I know SOME people who will be so happy to HEAR others as they gather together.  Finally, the government has taken steps to enable us to get a hearing aid at a much more reasonable price and from our pharmacist. Can you believe it?

What a powerful thing to do when you believe in a cause.  I don’t believe I could do what he did but I admire him for doing it.

This invention blew my mind. I wish every child had the opportunity to experience this.  What a world it would open for each one. It might even change the way the whole world would see each other and do away with all the wars.  What do you think?  Would it be possible?

This is such a great time of the year.  My bird feeders are seeing a lot of activity and each feeder is being visited time and time again.  I have the regular birds but I have some new additions too.  A pair of bluebirds availed themselves of my feeders in the winter and they are still coming back which is a first.  The Grosbeak with the red heart has come back also. The golden finches have finally transitioned back to gold from a dull brown which they wear all winter. The hummingbirds and the Baltimore Orioles are back also, they are here only during the warm weather. This article I will share with you is about a birder but his birds are not dependent on feeders. They are in the wild and boy, does he know his birds. I envy him his knowledge. I don’t envy him what he was subjected to though. When oh when are we going to become aware of the unity of all humans? If you take off our skin and our hair, you would not be able to tell us apart. Would you really like to live in a world that would be so dull and boring?  Let us simply enjoy one another and our differences. It is comforting to know that we do not HAVE to know everything because we have brothers and sisters who share what they know.

Are you as confused about the use of firearms as I am?  I do not own a gun and I was born into World War 2 so my perspective on guns is probably different than yours.  I also have many questions which need answers. This is an article that thoroughly gives the information that you and I are seeking.  I have many “WHY’s” too.

I am familiar with Small Pox but Monkey Pox is totally new to me.  Of course, when I was younger we did not have the machinery to get instant news like we do today.  I am as interested in this as you so I want to share this article that gives a more diverse background of this phenomenon.

Do you have a loved one who suffers from Asthma?  I do, my granddaughter, so I am quite excited to know about this new means of helping her.  WE are fortunate to be living at a time of so many new treatments and understandings of what our bodies need.

BRRR!  Fall has come too soon. It feels so quick after having a heat wave and also the remnants of  IDA, the hurricane which dumped 5.5 inches of rain here in Wales,  I was even awoken at 1:00am by my doorbell going off over and over again.  It must have been the torrents of rain that set it off.  Then during the night I got two more phone calls warning about flash flooding.   The water in the lake was over the dock when I awoke but after a few hours, I could see the top of it.   I have leaves turning on my tree and leaves coming down. New England weather is  proving again that it is dependable, wait a minute and the weather will change is very, very evident this year.

Eckhart Tolle has an interesting talk about self observation. From my experience, it is more difficult to observe yourself rather than noticing others and reflecting on why they are doing what they do.
