BLACK FRIDAY OR BLACK HOLE?

Please send an energetic welcome to the new readers who have joined your newsletter community. I know they can “feel” your welcome. Thanksgiving is right around the corner and I would like to say right now that I am so grateful for all of you. Without you there would be no need for me to write my newsletter. I am so thrilled to have met so many of you again at the Natural Living Expo. You expressed to me how much you enjoyed the newsletters and it fills me with gratitude again for the way Spirit guides me in what to share with all you beloveds.

My lake, Lake George, showed me its first sign of the upcoming winter, there is ice forming at the edge. It will probably not last (I hope not) but it sure is a sign of the times. “Times are a changing”. My heart goes out to all who are dealing with so much snow and frigid air. Mother Nature is giving us an opportunity to be prepared for anything, so take the hint and stock up on your essentials. We are kind of spoiled as there are so many stores around. If we need something, our habit is to run to the store, that is, if we can get there. How many people were marooned and had no way to get the essentials?

It was so weird that our “normal” TV programs were not interrupted for Obama’s speech. I was happy because I could record the show I wanted to watch but it was difficult to find out what station was carrying it because all the major stations did not “interrupt”. Isn’t this a sign of how much media controls our life? As I was meditating this morning, I saw that the script for the play the President was acting in is quite different than our “script for the play we are participating in. “The World is a Stage. We are all actors playing our designated role so bit by bit, what is meant to happen happens. That little act of ignoring the importance of a message from our President tells me how much power is in play. The ones in power are displaying their irrational fear of him so they try to make him less important. Kudos to Obama for sticking by his values and principles and also the commitment he made to the people. I don’t always agree with him but watching this play and all the rocks (hurdles) that other politicians place before him is sure waving a big flag as to who and what the opposing teams are really trying to accomplish. What they are accomplishing is giving the other countries the wrong view of American people. While we are busy fighting each other, the other terrorist countries can do what they please. Can we not just get together and accomplish what we all want?

Boy, am I on a roll or what? In my meditation this morning, “Black Friday” also came to mind and I was given the picture of a big black hole. That black hole is your empty pocket book that cannot show any light. You have the most valuable possession, your family and your time. They are priceless and yet finite. We can’t get back time nor some members of our family. Why are the banks, businesses, organizations, etc. all trying to take away our most valued possessions? And why are we letting them?

Are you aware that you vote every time you purchase something? You do not vote only at the polls. Every time you BUY something, you are voting. You are sending a message to the ones that run this country and to big money. Your everyday vote is the one they pay the most attention to because they are always looking for the “numbers”, the financial numbers. What are you voting for and what country are you voting for? Think about that every time you spend your hard earned dollars. I am going to remind you again that even when you call a company that has its staff answering your calls in a different country; that you are voting. It is a law that if you ask to speak to someone in the United States, they have to transfer you. You know a voice that is too polite or has an accent when they answer. Ask them where they are and if they are not in the US, ask to be switched. We can VOTE for our fellow Americans. This way, the jobs will stay here if we choose to be aware of what we are doing and how we are doing it.

PLEASE CHOOSE YOUR FAMILY AND TIME OVER EMPTYING YOUR POCKET UNTIL IT IS A BLACK HOLE BEFORE BLACK FRIDAY. SPEND YOUR TIME ON THANKSGIVING WITH YOUR MOST PRICELESS POSSESSIONS. PLACE YOUR VOTE WHERE IT COUNTS THE MOST.

I am an avid shopper of sales. If I want something, I wait for it to come down in price unless it is something that I need immediately. Believe it or not, the sales continue after Black Friday (so aptly named). We are human and can be brought to a frenzy by the energy that is magnified by the media. Choose (VOTE) what is most important to you. You have inherited that God given right from your ancestors who fought so hard for democracy and the freedom to vote. Let’s support our ancestors and the veterans that still fight for that freedom. Do not let media or big companies control you. KNOW that you matter, you belong to the majority. Let LOVE be the deciding factor in your vote.
Don’t let the boogie man control you; it is only your own fear which cannot harm you when you do not let it be in control.
God said:

Open your eyes to a new world. You are the ones who will awaken the Earth. You may think that you bounce off the world, yet it is the world that bounces off you. I am speaking of both the animate and inanimate world. You are a key player. The love you send out rebounds. The ill-will that you send out rebounds. Whether you think love or angst, you spritz them out to the world.

Before you draw conclusions to this, you do not play alone, nor are you to think that each wind that blows your way is something you earned or caused or is attributable to you. Thinking that way gets you nowhere. Besides, sometimes, often, you are simply an innocent by-stander. There may be ancient effects that suddenly alight on you, but you are a new consciousness now, and it doesn’t make sense that sins are visited upon you. Just don’t think that way. Don’t be looking for cause or reason. The fact is that now you have to let go of all the why’s and wherefore’s and simply get on with your life. Remember it is your life you live now that we are talking about, not some past life that creeps up on you.

You are in the business of your present life. If it is a cyclone that you get caught up in, don’t try to trace of the origin of your being caught in it. If life is climbing a flight of stairs, you are on a different step now. There is enough to deal with what is right now.

Get ready to take another step up and another and another. When you are at a great height, even in the physical world, you are told to not look down, for looking down and seeing how high you are may make you dizzy, and you may actually slip. Better to keep climbing, beloveds. Better to look up. Searching for your wayward responsibility for being caught in the maelstrom is not good use of your energy. To think of what to do now is good use of your energy.

Take a deep breath and exhale and let go of possible past errors. Everyone has made them. What’s the point of dredging up possible past errors. What light goes on when you consider that you were once a marauder. Let it go, the past. Look, you are learning as you go along. Yesterday you did or thought something that you would not today. It’s not such a big deal.

All of this that goes on with you in the world is not real anyway. You are swimming in the water of a dream. The only conclusion to draw is that, praise God, you will wake up from this dream. When you do, you will laugh at how seriously you took this dream. Dreams are not the making of you except as you flip to a new page.

Every day, a new page. What you once were is not who you are now. In fact, the part you played in the dream was not you. It was a role you played. The role you play is not you. Even if the role you play is that of a hero, you are far more than a hero. You are a soul, a good soul, and your soul is rising to your Divine Height which is your natural state. Episodes are not the making of you. Your soul knows what it is doing. Have confidence that you are enlightening yourself now. The past isn’t here any longer. You are free from it. Be done with it.

CONTRAST & BEAUTY

What contrast we have been experiencing lately. It is showing up everywhere including our politics. This is all an experience helping us to live in the moment as each moment is different so nothing stays status quo. It awakens us from our slumber of just putting one foot in front of the other so that we consciously are aware of what is in front of us right now.

The last three days have been balmy and in the 60’s. While I thoroughly enjoy the warmer weather, I could not help but feel sad that my kayak was put away for the winter. The wind and the water were perfect for a jaunt around the lake and when I am kayaking, I thoroughly immerse myself in each stroke and watching the shoreline with all the different houses and how different they all are as they enjoy being on the water and the effect of the lake upon them. I know I need reminders to be more in the present and enjoy what is now as it will change. And you know, we humans do not like change.

This morning I woke up to a Winter Wonderland. The Artic Freeze hit last night with rain and snow. My wish when it snows is that it would only snow on the trees and the grass, leaving the streets and driveways clear so we do not have to shovel. That is exactly what happened. The snow is soft and fluffy, it looks like cotton balls have been strewn everywhere. On the grass, it is not smooth, it looks like batting, not smooth but bumpy as it emphasizes the individual puff of snow. My street and driveway were perfectly free of snow as it had melted upon landing.

I had my breakfast looking out my bow window at the marvelous display that Mother Nature had put out for us to enjoy. Whereas yesterday everything was brown; the leaves were now gone and the plants were brown and the grass less green as we have had a frost.. Although warm it looked like a desert with nothing much alive. NOW, each brown leafless branch was covered with soft fluffy snow. Looking out at the mountain range across the lake was astounding. It was all white and as the sun came up; it created shadows yet also highlighted areas with its light played upon the snow. It was so beautiful to behold this with the water moving in the lake and the shadows playing with the sun creating different scenarios right before my eyes. The beach looked so different with thebrown sand having no snow and the grass was white, what a contrast. This is not something you see very often. I was being so grateful for this gift given to me as I did not always take the time to enjoy and savor the simple and yet miraculous happenings around me. I set my intention there and then, to take the time to sit and enjoy what Mother Nature is giving for my pleasure. I want to enjoy each moment without feeling sad because it is not totally what I wanted at that moment. A small breeze came up and then the powder puffs of snow were being blown off my tree right towards me as I sat inside in the warmth of my home. Contrast can be beautiful, it is what we make of it. I feel so full.

RELEASE FROM YOUR COCOON

I am being given many opportunities to: “Let go of what no longer serves me”. How about you? It is coming in many forms. I have wanted to change my living room furniture for quite some time now. I have been in many furniture stores but just couldn’t seem to find what I wanted, what made my heart sing. I had a love-seat with matching rocking chair and regular chair for enjoying the beautiful view of the lake, the trees, the birds, etc. They were wood framed with cushions for seats and I had another chair to sit in to watch TV. My focus in my living room is to be able to look out the windows and now my new door while I was walking by or when I was sitting watching TV. I want to be able to look at the birds, the lake, the boats going by or even the ice fishermen in winter. I put the TV to the side as it was not to be the focus of this room, it was a sideline. Part of my living room contains my altar and sacred space.

Well, I bought a sectional sofa which opened up quite a can of worms. My idea was to be able to separate the three pieces so the view of the lake could be seen from all the pieces. Do you know that sectional pieces are not finished on all sides? I did not. When it got into my home, I could not do what I originally planned. I had this monstrous long and comfortable piece of furniture that just overtook my room. Well, what do you do when you have too much of something? You start to peel away the extra by layers until you can breathe again. I have been going through an intense period of looking at every possibility and gradually doing away with what no longer serves me. Four of my five rooms are in turmoil as I need to put the furniture and accessories somewhere until I find the place that they are destined to go. Since I did not have the space I had before, I realized that my tall wooden candle holders with the long white candles that are used in church were no longer being used, I don’t burn them anymore but they gave an ambiance to my prayer area. I started to look at each thing I had in that special area and decide whether to keep it or offer it to others. I also have a large marble coffee table that I no longer have space for so that needs a home. That piece I had purchased as a rebellious act when the bank took my 13 room Victorian home, it really has been too big for this home. I am sure it holds some of the energy I was not willing to let go of. My TV has the back that juts out and it is not HD so I just may replace that. My bookcase has got to go and I have many books that I am giving away. The one thing I will not let go of is the serenity I feel when I look out my windows at Mother Nature. This new set is taller and more bulky so I had to maneuver it so I could see out my windows and door while I was supposedly watching TV. I will not let anything block my view and feeling of that peace and tranquility.

My take on this challenge in my life is that I was not releasing enough of what I was holding on to, so the universe stepped in and gave me a push to downsize. I had not been aware that I was resisting this process but the universe will step in to assist you if you don’t do it willingly. Please don’t wait for the two by four to hit you, pay heed to the gentle nudges now. I don’t know how all of this will be finalized but I am certainly getting a lot of exercise, both physically and emotionally. Here is a head’s up on what is happening and what is yet to come.

We are all experiencing the same energies even if they are showing up differently. Here is another confirmation of that process and it is like coming out of the cocoon. All we need do is dry our wings (tears) and we will be able to fly.

This is so joyful and freeing. Perhaps we cannot do what they do but we can experience the feelings that they so joyfully and expertly exhibit.
