HUMOR & GIFTS TO OPEN

Beloved,

We in the Northeast have a saying: ”If you don’t like the weather, wait a minute, it will change”.  Of course, that means that the weather is unpredictable which a lot of humans do not like.  But….this gives us Northeasterners many opportunities to be flexible and also change things around quickly.  We also have clothing that adapts to every weather change.

I was sitting watching my lake this morning and I marveled that it felt like October.  We had bitterly cold weather in November, in fact, the lake froze over and one morning I got up to a couple of ice fishermen out on the lake.  My heart leapt as it was way too soon for it to be safe but the ice fishermen cut through the ice to create a hole to fish through and they said it was 3 inches thick so it was safe. I breathed a sigh of relief and they returned on the ice the next day also.  The ice fishermen are a good example of New Englanders because they need to be ready when the opportunity presents itself.  The lake has since thawed and there has been no ice since then for them to use.

Here it is two months later and the lake is still all thawed and behaving as if it was April or May.   As I was sitting I noticed Oscar, the seagull hanging around and so I knew that the transient ducks were around also.  Oscar loves to hang around them because he is bigger than them and he sometimes succeeds in getting the fish they have in their bill from diving down to get them. All transient ducks dive for their food even if they are a different breed of transients.  I usually see them in only in November as they stop for a rest on their way south.  Here it is January and I am seeing more and more of them, I call them my dobblers.

Yesterday, I laughed as I saw Oscar trying to get some food from the dobblers and then another breed of dobblers showed up and they became one group.  I guess Oscar knew he was outnumbered because he disappeared for a while. He is a good indicator where the dobblers are because he is mostly white and much bigger so he is much easier to spot on the lake.

Before we get to the year 2019, let us see and be cheerful in what humanity has succeeded to do environmentally for Mother Earth in 2018.  It seems that we are not doing much, but we forget so quickly.  This is an eye-opener of what was accomplished and how we are spurred on to be better at saving the only home we have, the Earth.

Mother Nature has some opportunities for us humans. Here is a short explanation of what she has in store for us.

A lighthearted way to deal with a difficult subject when you feel like a failure. Who would guess that food would be such a good tool? A good example to all who feel they have not lived up to their expectations or others. Smile at their  ingenuity  and at the final outcome.

THOUGHT PROVOKING

Beloved,

As I send you this newsletter, I need to admit that I question the perfection of what is happening in my own life sometimes.  When I catch myself starting to complain about something, I try to change my focus and ponder what good will come of this episode. To be completely truthful, it happens more often than I like to admit. As for my handicapped knee, so far, the only reason I can find is that now I am more aware of the handicapped and the courage they represent. The path I thought I was on has changed and I still do not feel certain of what is in the future. I am definitely “learning” from all of it yet I need to acknowledge that I created all of this for some reason and then I have to surrender and say: “God, I don’t know why but use it to help someone else.”

Mother Nature has been giving us many reasons to ponder “Why”. With the advent of TV, we are able to hear about what is happening across our planet.  There is and has been a lot of chaos and destruction but have you noticed that compared to all the disasters, there have been fewer deaths than would be expected?  Earth is changing but she is trying very hard not to eliminate the human race. I cannot say the same thing for our political wars. I, for one, do not like watching all of the horror but at the same time, I see all the love and compassion that is surrounding the humans that have been affected.  There is more love, gratitude and assistance that are being born from all of this than any other emotion.  That is good news.

Why or why do we not believe in our own perfection?  What happens in our life is perfection in itself. You could not or would not subject yourself to all these tests and experiences if you did not have a Higher Self that knows what it is that you want to experience in this life time.

Patricia Diane Cota-Robles – downloading the patterns of perfection

It takes a lot of faith and courage to hang in there for two years but she did it.  This simple method will help autistic children everywhere.

Three very innovative IDEAS.

I would like to see these butt containers everywhere.  It is recycling at its best and keeps our land a lot cleaner.

Another way that humans are stepping up to help Mother Earth, it is called recycling which is the best way to conquer our “throw away” society.

Who would have thunk it?  My only question is, does it give off oxygen like the trees do?

This you have to see to believe.  What an eye opener for us humans who never thought that there would be “emotion” in a bee. I know I would not be able to let a bee land on my nose so I applaud her.

APPRECIATING THE UNEXPECTED

Beloved,

What a surprise Mother Nature had in store for me.  I have had the hummingbird feeders out for over a week and a half.  Guess who showed up for food first.  The Baltimore Oriole.  The hummingbirds “always” come first and then some time later the Oriole.  I needed to put the Oriole’s feeders together and then put some grape jelly in them as I had not been prepared for their arrival.  I chuckle as I remember that he came right to my kitchen window and let me know he was here.  He then tried to get the sugar water out of the hummingbird feeders but his beak is too big for the holes.  This was in the morning.

In the later afternoon, all of a sudden a hummingbird showed up for the beginning of their annual visit.  What a surprise to get them both on the exact same day.  I wonder if they flew in together.  Now there is more color as I look out my windows as I have both feeders in the front and the back of my home..  The Baltimore Oriole’s feeders are orange and the hummingbird feeders are red and combined with the green leaves coming out, it is a luscious spectacle. It lifts my heart to look outside now even if it is mostly grey and rainy.

Do you or anyone you know have a veil that keeps you safe and protected from what is really in front of you?  Jennifer Hoffman gives an explanation in such a simple way that all of us can  recognize  the size and density of our veil.

Kryon has a very important message and I believe it is true.  Sneak a peek from under the veil and see what is waiting for you on the other side. We, the humans, have done what we came to Earth to do yet we have forgotten that we did.  All the Armageddon predictions of the past have not materialized and they will not.  After all, there are no new predictions and the old ones have not been allowed to be. Pat yourself on the back for a job well done. Take this  message  to heart and have hope which is already manifesting on your planet.

Do you remember that button from Staples?  Well, push the easy button from Brenda Hoffman is just such a reminder that the button exists. Why oh why do we humans make life so hard on ourselves?  My thought about the answer is that making everything hard for ourselves and everyone else is an ingrained habit. It will take being conscious of our habit and breaking it by just taking a slow breath in. Just that  simple  practice of inhaling the life giving oxygen is enough to slowly chip away at the habit.

This is how we feel when we are allowed to come back home. Who is holding you back?  Is it YOU?  A real life example of making the best of what life offers and still reaching the one  goal  that was so important.

What an unlikely pair?  Yet, love is flowing between the two who are not at all alike.  In fact, they are even different species.  This warms my heart as it is such a beacon of what is possible between living creatures who share this beloved planet Earth.  All of us humans are one species on one planet, let’s get over ourselves and embrace all forms of life.  I “know” this is what is possible and is actually  happening  right now.

I think I will print this out so it can remind me to take a breath when I get uptight.
