SOLSTICE & CHRISTMAS LIGHT

This has been a week of business the like of which I have not experienced in quite a long time.  I am going to physical therapy twice a week until the end of the year, then doctor’s appointments seem to pop up all during the same week and I got a hearing aid also.  You would think I was a working girl being gone from 9 to 5.  I even had two special lunches with special people.  One of them with former coworkers and one of them with my two granddaughters. Today was my physical therapy and a follow up appointment with my hearing aid people.

It is amazing to hear sounds that I was not aware existed.  Like the rustle of the clothing as you dress or undress, the musical tones from my crystals are deep and resounding and I do not struggle so hard to hear a conversation and understand what is being said. I can finally hear my youngest granddaughter as her voice is high pitched and she is only 9 years old.  Today, I got to talk to her and to my amazement, her voice sounds deeper and I was able to understand what she was saying.  My high-pitched sounds are the ones that need the most help but my base sounds are pretty good. It does not even feel like I have it in.  I am so grateful for the newest technologies.  So please forgive me for being so late with this newsletter.

DOG DAYS OF SUMMER?

Usually the Dog Days of summer are in August but we are certainly very early for the phenomenon we have just been experiencing. Six very long days of a Heat Wave is unusual to say the least. For me, I can take the hot days as long as we have a cool down at night.  I have never had air conditioning in my home but I do have the breeze off the lake which was quite sufficient….until this long long spell of hot humidity which even the lake could not tackle. I finally gave in and decided to get an air conditioner only to find out that there are none to be found.  I am laughing at myself right now as I usually consider myself to always be prepared for what life could offer me. Or at least I have faith that I am always taken care of by the Angels, Universe, God, or whatever you call Source.

Well, I was right in a way but in a totally unexpected way.  Those of you that have been with me and my newsletters for a while know that I am the owner of a motorized three wheel scooter which I use when I go places that require any amount of walking. Although I live on a lake and have the beach right in front of me, it is surrounded by fencing so I need to go around and enter through gates which in itself is quite a distance for me to walk. I have cut back on my comradery because of this also with all the people who enjoy both the beach and water especially when it is hot. I miss my friends and neighbors even more as I watch them from my deck which is really too far away to have a conversation. As I need to pace myself throughout the day as though I am on a limited number of steps (which I am), I can visit the beach or the water only once a day. I love to kayak which is easy for me to do but it requires a lot more effort from my knees to get the kayak in and out of the water.

After two days of this hot, moist heat, I was sitting in my house feeling sorry for myself.  All of a sudden, I had a wonderful thought, an inspiration.  Why not try to get to the beach and water by riding my scooter.  There are two gates to enter the beach besides the boat launch gate.  One is more rugged terrain with rocks and tree roots but the other one allows me to ride on the grass between the benches and the fence and I can get to the part of the beach that has grass and shade as well as picnic tables. My scooter cannot travel on the soft sand.   It was so easy and I felt freer than I have in years.  It was a joy to walk into the water and to talk again with old acquaintances and make friends with the new people. I now can use the water as my body and air conditioner.  This new freedom made me realize just how much I missed doing it.  Now I can go to the beach anytime I choose as long as it is not raining or if the grass is wet as the electrical wires to my scooter are under the foot board and close to the ground.

It seems like July will be a humdinger with all of the energies of the two eclipses, etc.  Kari Samuels has it down pat and also has a free offer for you if you are interested.

INTERPRETING REALITY OF DREAM-LIKE STATE

Happy Memorial Day to ALL,

I know this newsletter is later than usual.  We keep hearing that change is here and it is giving us practice at staying in the moment which is all we really have anyway.  I went to have my car’s oil changed yesterday and on the way back home, my car started to shake, rattle and roll at any speed above 60 mph.  I have had a tire that required beading as it had a slow leak.  I even bought a tire pressure gauge twice so I would be able to check on its tire pressure so I am familiar with the shaking caused by a front tire needing balancing.  I stopped at my tire place on the way home but he could not check it until this morning.  He drove it first to verify the shaking and then did a wheel alignment on the right front tire.  I took it for a ride and it helped a little so he did the left front tire and I took it for another ride and still it helped only a little.  I had an “inkling” it was due to tire pressure so I had him check it and all the tires were at 40-42 lbs. when they should have been only at 29-30 lbs.  He regulated the tires or should I say deregulated them and I took it for another ride.  Lo and behold, the shaking had gone away.  I have to admit that I am much more vulnerable to the shaking than anyone else is.  I guess I am more sensitive to movement than others but it definitely “shook” me up in more ways than one.  I did not know what to think and was confused.  I could not fathom any reason for the creation of this scenario. .

I called my mechanic who had done the oil change and told him what happened so he could check his tire gauge in case it was faulty.  He just had the digital gauge checked out a few weeks ago so it should be accurate but he was grateful that I called and was going to check even further. ???????  I felt silly calling him because it did not feel real to me. I felt like I had just woken up from a dream that made no sense at all.

Then I read the following which, knowing what I had experienced made more sense. I still do not feel balanced in all of this but it felt good to be validated in some way. Just in case you may be experiencing any scenarios like I did, this might help you.
