THE GLORIES OF AUTUMN

Have you been aware of the perfect beauty of the weather the last two days? Ooooh, it smells so nice and the view is spectacular.  It hasn’t felt like we have had a summer as it rained so much and when it wasn’t raining, the sun was still blocked by the clouds. So many people are mentioning that it doesn’t “feel” like we have had a summer.

My son, Steve was supposed to come today to put together a sofa bed but his daughter was sick and they were waiting for the results of the Covid test.  Good news, it was negative. Anyway, since I had the morning off, I could not resist going out kayaking. The water was so still that it was like double vision with all the color of the leaves reflected in the water. This is my piece of heaven as I was completely absorbed with the water and all the houses and leaves reflected in the water.  I got to kayak right through those reflections as if I was a bird and able to flit from tree to tree to swoop down and soar above.  Can you tell, I WAS in heaven.

Then I came in and listened to Lee Carroll, Kryon and Matt Khan who were presented on The Circle of Twelve.  Listening to these beings converse and channel the energy brought me so much peace.  Their information as well as Spirit brought me much wisdom and clarity.  I wanted to share this love energy with you so you can also help spread it to the rest of the planet.

BRRR!  Fall has come too soon. It feels so quick after having a heat wave and also the remnants of  IDA, the hurricane which dumped 5.5 inches of rain here in Wales,  I was even awoken at 1:00am by my doorbell going off over and over again.  It must have been the torrents of rain that set it off.  Then during the night I got two more phone calls warning about flash flooding.   The water in the lake was over the dock when I awoke but after a few hours, I could see the top of it.   I have leaves turning on my tree and leaves coming down. New England weather is  proving again that it is dependable, wait a minute and the weather will change is very, very evident this year.

Eckhart Tolle has an interesting talk about self observation. From my experience, it is more difficult to observe yourself rather than noticing others and reflecting on why they are doing what they do.

PAST TO PRESENT

Have you ever heard of National Black Cat Appreciation Day? I know I never have and since last week on Aug, 13, Friday the 13th, was the day it was celebrated; I want to back up a week and offer you this story which captured my heart.

In fairness to our other beloved pet, your dog, watch this video.

Now back to today, Aug 20th.  I can’t believe that August is almost completed as it does not feel like we have had summer at all. Yesterday had so much rain all at once that I had running brown water from my neighbor’s driveway flowing on top of my grass and making deep ruts in the beach sand on its way to the lake. Wow, that was scary to realize that not only would my feet be wet but I would be wet up to my knees in water on my lawn if I went outside. I was surrounded for about an hour and then gradually it receded. I also realized later on that I could no longer see the sunset across the lake as it had moved back behind the trees until next year. What had happened to all my summer sunsets that I love to watch…I had so few of them that it really should be the beginning of July?  Is your time table upside down too?

Enough of that sad stuff, lets smile a little.

I learned a new word for hand-me-downs.  It is titled “Slow Fashion”.  Check this out. I like the idea of smaller closets and less time and effort to be dressed. .
