WANT TO SMILE?

I am aware that a mild drought is affecting all of us.  For me, I am enjoying the dry spell because with less water trying to get to the lake, my grass can be mowed more often and it is more amiable to walking on the beach sand. Of course, I love the kayaking and also going for a dip in the lake.  Latest report on the temperature of the water by the mermaids (women) who dip in it usually twice a day is 82 degrees.  It is so nice this time of the year and I have such great appreciation for where I live. Being retired is also great as I have the whole day to choose when I want to participate in the lake’s gifts. I am sending you all the blessings of summer.

Isn’t human reasoning great as we use what is unwanted junk and turn it into a great outcome that is valued by all of humanity?

I never would have guessed that a human could have an experience with sea life in such a humane manner. I dare you not to smile.

A chance to help people who have asthma?  I remember when my brother could not breathe and the only thing that helped him was inhaling the steam from Vicks in boiling water. Let’s send these scientists some positive energy so that they can quickly put this into action.

SURPRISES

I know SPRING is not here yet but I am celebrating its arrival ahead of time. The lake is completely thawed, the Canadian Geese are back and so are my dobblers (the migrant ducks that use our lake as a stopover in their journey each spring and fall). This year the first ones here were large white ducks with black heads.  They were absolutely beautiful. Of course, Oscar the sea gull was busy trying to nab the fish out of the dobblers’ mouths with not much success. Remember to set your clocks back tonight as Spring has not Sprung until next week.

I haven’t seen this advertised so it may be news to you.  He is an example of what people all over the world are doing to help the Ukrainians. I have never seen such support for a country amidst the terrible throes of war. Thank you, beloved humanity of the Earth, for your support.

I was not sure that this particular article merited being chosen from those I originally had chosen, sooo I listened to it again and heard advice and info that I had not heard on the first go around.  I try to limit my newsletter to 5 articles but once in a while, there is a very special one at the last minute. Patricia Diane Cota-Robles speaks softly and slowly and I realize that was one reason that I did not hear all the guidance the first time around.  Please breathe and softly let go of the mind before you listen.  It will surprise you.

JOYFUL CONNECTION TO EARTH

As I woke this morning and opened my blinds, the view was mesmerizing.  The lake water was so smooth and quiet that it even reflected the soft white clouds above as well as all the trees and houses across the water. The clouds looked like a white comforter full of feathers. I knew I had to go kayaking and I know from experience that I need to go out before 8am as the still waters only last an hour or two.

So, I got dressed and even went without breakfast so I could enjoy kayaking through the reflection of the trees and also the rare cloud reflections.  It was heaven here on earth. The only way I can describe it is like being between dimensions or the sleep and wake state. I got to see the regular ducks that moved out of my way as I approached them. I was across the lake when I noticed what looked like smoke on the other side.  Then I decided that the mist was too thick to be smoke so I watched it change shapes among the reflections of reality.  This was a first for me so I really felt like I was in another space of time.  I wonder if this is how the astronauts feel when they are up there. All the smaller boats (not the kayaks) are put away for the winter but there is still quite a few pontoon boats still out.  I believe that the summer people have put away all their toys but the year- rounders still want another chance to get out on the water before mooring their boat. I hope this short note will give you a little taste of the joy I experienced.

After listening to this amazing display, I am not so frustrated with my computer when it has led to this CREATION.
