A POSSIBILITY OF FREEDOM

What a week of ups and downs this has been. Tuesday night I went to bed at 11:30PM, not waiting for the election results. The next morning I did something I never do, I put the TV on before I did my prayers or even ate breakfast. My heart sank but worst of all, this incredible sadness came over me. An American Muslim said it best. He said” I feel like this is the morning after 9-11”. I had no tears, the sadness was too deep. Not because a Republican won but because of who he is. He is not a good representative of what America is all about. He is a bully, a racist, a bigot and refuses to follow any rules, including the one about declaring his tax return. How come everyone else had to but he did not. You do not hide things unless there is something to hide. He does not even represent the Republican Party as there is no Republican that does not honor America or what it stands for. He spews out the energy of his superiority over any other living being and their well fought for laws.

Worst of all, he did not receive the majority vote, the most popular vote. Do you know of any clubs or organizations that do not follow the majority rule? I don’t. Every meeting held in this country follows that rule from the home, schools, sororities, clubs, small town governments, etc. In the United States, it is the law even in the courtroom with the juries. From the time we are little, we are taught that majority rules. Why does that not apply to voting rights? I feel so sad that my vote might be worth less or more than another person’s just because we do not live in the same state.

The electoral might have been fair many years ago before the advent of TV or the internet. But in these days, it is totally unfair. For years I have been upset with the electoral vote as it is racist and contrary to what we believe and that is in equality for every person in every aspect in America. WE are the land of the free.

Do you realize that the majority of votes that Trump received were from white males? Does that sound like the Ku Klux Klan? The Klan were bullies who made themselves superior to all who they decided were worthless so they could be done away with by any means possible while hiding their faces. Doesn’t that sound like what Trump did? To me, he is a perfect example of that. I, for one, do not want any person to think he is above the Law. Do you realize that Trump is of the 1% who is running this country today (or trying to anyway)? Do you think he cares about you or your concerns? Will you join me and millions of others to stop this raid on our government and our individual power? If enough of us pursue this opportunity we have, we will definitely make our wishes known to the ones who have been blind sighted.

I received this email last night that brought a little light or possibility that we who have the majority vote might still have a chance to bring America back from the brink of disaster.

Politicians wonder why the attendance at voting is low and that is because we have discovered that our vote is actually worthless. Why bother to vote when it doesn’t count anyway. WE, as Americans, have been brainwashed into being apathetic. I still believe in the vote being the ONE thing that has been fought for and died over so that we will be free. Let’s change that apathy and prove that EACH vote is important and worthy to be counted. WE are one Nation and so each person is important and irreplaceable.

During my prayer time this morning, I could not stay in the peace and tranquility, my mind kept bring me back to the injustice that this member of the Ku Klux Klan is bringing to bear on the people of America. This morning I received this email which opened up even more possibilities. I am not alone and neither are you. We are strong as this email shows. Will you join us and let your voice be heard this time?

I realize that my subject for today has not been one of the most uplifting ones yet we need to know who and what we placing our trust in and what we can do about it. There is an uplifting when we find a possible solution and it is simple to do.

I was given a good suggestion for lifting our moods and it is so true. Go to You tube and put in “Children Laughing” and then watch your mood shift. Children are the innocent ones and the heart up-lifters.

JOY OF FULL MOON AND SUMMER SOLSTICE

We have a lot of special days that are reeking with wonderful energy and possibilities. There is the Solstice Full Moon which precedes the Solstice and the first day of summer. Hoorah. The flowers are everywhere and their fragrance is in the air. The sun sets later and we are having fantastic sunsets, Mother Nature is still the best artist there is and my heart fills with the beauty and the variety that she presents to us. It is this time of the year that I make myself sit and just bask in the ever changing forms and colors that make up the sunset. Actually, the beauty comes more after the sun is set as that is when the colors start and the clouds in all their diversity are framed in ways that no human could conceive.

Yesterday, I returned six unopened jars of grape jelly to the store with a vengeance set in frustration. There is no point in filling up the Baltimore Oriole feeders as the squirrels are emptying them faster than the birds. The Orioles are nesting now so I only see them occasionally. After trying every solution to deter the squirrels, I finally conceded surrender. I have not had this problem before but there are 3 baby squirrels who are fearless and no matter how many times they land on the ground they keep coming back. I did not mind going out three times a day to fill them for the first three weeks the Orioles were here as they are the reason I do this anyway. It was so much fun to watch them. Now there is not as much reason to look as often out the window yet the hummingbirds are still here and the golden finches as well as the other birds that eat regular bird food: they stay at the feeders longer so I get to see them more. I am blessed not to be affected by the predrought conditions, in fact, it is much better for me and for my lawn. Being right next to the lake, there is always plenty of moisture for my lawn and most springs, my lawn is difficult to mow because of the wetness. I am very grateful that there are no alligators in my lake.

Let’s take the time to celebrate what we all do share with others on the planet…our humanity. In this nice weather our hopes arise as we look forward to vacations and family gatherings. This is the time.

My heart goes out to the family of that child that was attacked by the alligator. It is not the parents’ fault and they should not be judged. I heard a lot of people say that the parents should have known better because there are alligators in every pond or water in Florida. I know that vacationers or most people who do not live in Florida are not aware that you never go near water in that state because there is likely to be an alligator in it. How could you not feel safe in Disney World? It is for the child in every person who goes there. Let’s not place blame on the family but balm for their sorrows.

Can we take a moment to send loving energy to ALL humanity that has suffered abuse on this planet? ………..

Every one of us can do something for the downtrodden as is evidenced in this video. Can you feel humanity coming together to help one another? I can, I feel it in my heart and there is so much more evidence and so many stories that confirm that it is a huge growing trend. We humans are finally waking up and reaching out to others. After all, we are one species on one planet. Doesn’t that make us a family of sorts? Family members stick together and when one is showing signs of dealing with emotions that overwhelm them, we all do what we can to ease the pain even when they do not appear lovable.

I tend to focus on stories that wake up my heart with joy. I prefer these to the sometime negative thoughts that run in my mind. If I am in joy then that is what I can share with the world. Here’s a good one.

OBJECTS OF LOVE

After two days of rain, the sun is shining this morning and it just invigorates me. It is hard to believe that we are in December but I am NOT complaining and I will take the rain instead of the snow. My hooded merganser ducks came back and brought company with them. They were feeding right in front of my beach so I got to enjoy the shenanigans of their diving and eating. Even Oscar, the sea gull, was hanging around them hoping to get a free meal. I looked out yesterday and there had to be at least 75 Canadian geese all lined up in the water. I know they have been practicing their flight patterns in the water but I have not seen them in the air yet.

I know there is a lot of sadness in the world these days. I don’t like it either yet I know that the love sent to the victims and their families is surrounding this planet. Pay attention to how much compassion and assistance is being spread to all of humanity. Many light bulbs are going off signaling that there is a better way, we no longer want ANY violence on our planet. There are many souls who are doing their best to bring peace and closure to all of the sorrow and devastating anger that is being expressed right now. Will you be one of those? You don’t have to go overseas and even travel to have a great effect on these times. Whatever emotion, feeling or energy you are carrying in your mind and heart, is what is being expressed. Feel love for yourself first and it will express halfway around the world. Think thoughts that uplift you and you will uplift all of humanity. Remember we are all ONE so what we feel and think is felt by all of humanity. The perpetrators are feeling so much hatred right now, they are threatened by the love that is being expressed. It hurts them too much to feel love right now as they are so angry about not being loved and accepted by all. It does not look like they are in pain, but they are. Loving them for who they are, human, is the only salve that we can put on their open wounds that they are so expressing right now. We do not have to love what they do, just love a fellow brother or sister who is in so much pain that they can only lash out to express it. Believe it or not, they are the catalyst that is awakening humanity to be a better human.

I used to work right next to Monsanto and the smoke and chemicals being spewed in the atmosphere was quite palatable. You could not mistake it. The real enemy to us and our planet are the corporations who are destroying our planet, our livelihood, our bodies for greed. This sounds very hopeful that we can again regain the beauty and sustainability of our beloved planet.
