WELCOME, WISHING YOU PEACE OF MIND

WELCOME!  Welcome to the oh so elusive 3 days of sun without rain.  This has not happened since March and we are oh so ready to experience this. I woke up this morning to seeing the lake was just like glass.  I decided not to eat breakfast or do my meditating or anything else.  I was just going to get my kayaking clothes on and go out.  By the time I did just this, the wind had picked up and the smooth water was all full of ripples.  I sighed and undressed and went to my prayers and meditation.  One single thought deleted any peaceful or ability to submerge myself into my quiet mind.  I decided I would eat my breakfast and sit down to write this newsletter.  After breakfast, I was still unsettled so I decided to go kayaking even though it was not perfect water.

Kayaking always brings me peace so off I went.  I needed to urge 3 families of geese to find another place other than our beach and they complied.  I don’t remember my wrists hurting last year but they are certainly tender this year.  Anyway, I made my first round around this lake this year.  OK, I did cut corners, kitty corners.  I usually stick to kayaking around all the shoreline but, as this was my first time this year, I did not go into all 3 coves and follow their shorelines yet I was determined to go all around the lake.  I had already been out twice to break my muscles in but my love is to go all around the lake and check out all the improvements on the houses around the lake. Others uplift me as I get to see the owner’s creativity and enjoy looking as their place changes.  Some make me a little thoughtful as the evidence that there has been no movement around yet, makes me sad.  As that usually means illness or some other activity for the family has intruded on the people coming back to serenity for a little while.

Speaking of the number three, this is a 3 year which is very powerful.  The number 3 always reminds me of the Trinity which is essential in our life. Here is another explanation of the meaning of the 3’s.

MAY BRINGS MAY FLOWERS

Today is the last day of May and Memorial Day was last Monday.  I finally got my kayak into the water on the evening of the Holiday.  It felt so good, I feel so free in the kayak and the water is so soothing. With all the rain but especially the wind being so prevalent, I won’t venture out when it is windy.  People in other houses were happy to see me and were wondering where I was as I am usually the first boat in the water.  Even my physical therapist was pleased to hear that I had been able to launch it and go for a short jaunt.  I love to go around the lake but I need to get my arm muscles stronger at the beginning of the kayaking season. It won’t be long now before I can go around the whole lake.

Usually I complain about the Canadian Geese that mess our sand and grass on the beach but this time they gave me a good laugh.  The president of the beach club used all the whirly gigs I gave her and created quite a pattern and show on the beach.  She surrounded the sand part with them which made it quite festive for the holiday and the geese are leery of anything that moves so she wanted to see how effective they would be in warding off the intruders.

We have 3 families of geese and one family has 7 young, the next one has 6 young and the last one has 5 young ones for a total of 18.  They are so cute when they are small and they are flightless so that curtails their activity for about a month or so. This holiday morning, all the families lined up at the water’s edge but would not come onto land.  Finally one adult came close to a whirly gig and stood there for a few minutes to see if it would move toward him or if there was any danger to the young ones.  All of a sudden his neck stretches up and silently all the geese left. I laughed as I have never seen them so confused. About an hour later, they came back again but still did not come on land.  Such confusion but they made me laugh at their antics.  Too soon for me to laugh though as they were back the next day.  They had decided that the whirly gigs were not going to chase them even though the wind was making them rotate quite a bit. Things are back to normal but the children had fun as they visited the beach and got to take a whirly gig home with them.

I hope your holiday weekend was pleasant and fun.  Tomorrow is May Day which brings May flowers so please enjoy that day also.  With all the rain, my Rhododendron bush has been late in blooming but it is in full bloom now and such a sight to see with the lake as its backdrop.

Here is proof that one person with one thought can make a huge difference.  The thing I like about this is the way it is helping so many people, one person at a time.  I, for one, would like to see this way ofreaching others spread even more.

Archangel Gabriel has a message for you that will deeply resonate.  I can get quiet, I can pray yet I am now trying to meditate which I am permitting myself to take as long as it takes to succeed at this endeavor.  I started yesterday and my memory is already working a little faster.  Read this message and see if it resonates with you.

FAITH AND TRUST

Have a wonderful Memorial Day holiday.  It is amazing to me how the weather affects our sense of holidays.  It feels to me like it is too soon to have this Holiday, like it is coming too soon.  I am not complaining as so many of my brothers and sisters are experiencing tornadoes, floods and hurricanes. Perhaps it is my age as I have many years of Memorial Days to remember and the seasons are not so black and white like they were when I was a kid. Looking back as an adult now, was it always as I expected or was I too young to notice?

I followed a young boy on his bicycle this morning and another car was coming the opposite way.  We both stopped to let the boy go by without any injury and I contemplated on how care free life was when I was his age.  Perhaps I was carefree until I aged enough to let life catch up with me with all of its “accidents” or “unexpected happenings”.  I want that feeling back, that feeling of not knowing what would happen OR what could happen, just trusting that I would be fine and enjoying the moment as only a child can.  As a child, we trust life as we have no other conception of what could be. Why can we not feel that way again?

I am going to make a conscious decision to focus on feeling free and knowing that I am at least content with the knowledge that I am safe with my Higher Self looking out for me.  I did have a day last week that I became aware that three car accidents with me involved had just been averted. I AM looked after and protected just as that young child on a bike was. And….I will not wait to feel that secure again, I will consciously choose to feel safe.

Speaking of looking back, I became aware of two new creations that are in the pipe line and will perhaps manifest in a few years.  I never ever thought anything like this was possible.  I am grateful that I have lived long enough to be able to know the vast differences that have occurred between my birth and now.Check these out and see which one or two will blow your mind and memory.

Imagine no more wars over fossil fuel, who would have thought?

Before cell phones, would this have even been considered?  Talk about trust.

This article joins faith and trust with modern remedies. It feels like a good ending to what began with my car run to the Post Office to pick up my mail (I live on a private street so mail cannot be delivered without a physical address so I have a PO Box)
