REMEMBRANCE OF 9/11

Beloved,

I had just sent out my weekly newsletter when this email appeared in my mailbox and when I opened it; I realized that it was something for the whole country.  I cannot reach the whole country but I can reach you.  I want to share this with you so you can share it with others.  Tuesday is a very special day of Remembrance, 9/11.  Let us remember all the Americans and humans who were affected by this tragedy.  A single moment of remembrance is all that it takes to send prayer after prayer to all of our beloveds, known and unknown.  WE ARE ALL HOME.

CHANGE IS HERE

Beloved,

Today is the Inauguration of Donald Trump as our 45th President. I listened to a show that was all about numbers and what they mean. 2016 was a “9” year of which the # 9 means completion. That number arrived from adding up all the numbers of the year. Realize that our new president is the 45th President which in itself is also a 9 and when you add the #9 from the year he was elected, you get 18 which in itself is another 9: completion all over the place. We could make it mean many things but my belief is that it gives us something to look at and wonder what the Universe is trying to tell us.. 2017 is a 1 year which the #1 means new beginning. Trump will be inaugurated in a 1 year.

Are you prepared for all of the new beginnings? In order to begin anew we need to change the past ways of doing things. Our world and planet has needed a change of heart for a long time but as humans, we naturally do not like change and most of us will not work at making any changes. I have faith that the Universe or God knows what He/She is doing and although we will not like all that is coming, we are strong enough to withstand and survive. We are being given an opportunity to make a real difference, each and every one of us. Each of us is an important piece of this puzzle so don’t give up yet. If you have ever done a jigsaw puzzle you know just how depressing it is to work so hard and end up with a missing piece. A small hole that looks so big when the all of the other pieces are in place. Do not be that missing piece. Remember that you vote each and every time you spend any money: At the gas station, at the bar, at the grocery store, at a retail store, on line. Your money is what the top 3% looks at and if you change your buying habits or pay more attention to what you actually buy, you are placing a very important vote out into the world. YOU make a difference.

I received this video this morning and it gave me such hope and confidence in our country and our human species. If this kid could do this, what can we do? (Do you have video to leave your family when you pass on? I do and I know your family would love to have one from you. This is what Story Corps does. Check it out.)

APPRECIATE LIFE

Beloved,

Well, Mother Nature had a surprise for us. It is not even November yet we had a snow storm yesterday which shut power off to many homes because it was wet snow which makes great snowballs but also sticks to everything. Many trees still had their leaves and with the snow, the limbs were much heavier than normal so they cracked. I think they really should put our power lines underground to protect them but then they might be hard to fix. Some genius will come up with something I am sure or perhaps all of our houses will have solar power and will not need the power lines. Winter would be a lot more fun to enjoy without the threat of loss of power.

I’m aware that my newsletter is later than usual but I just could not make myself get up out of bed this morning. Perhaps the storm had something to do with it but I am ever so grateful that I could give myself this extra treat of just lying in bed with nothing to do and nowhere to go and just BE. No noise, no sounds, just me and the warm bed giving me the comfort that I seemed to need this morning. This respite was not planned it just happened. How many mornings do you allow yourself to just BE instead of thinking of what you have to do or where you need to be. Try it, give yourself one morning, you deserve it.

This story touched me, he could not do what I did this morning and yet he always smiled and never complained. I don’t think I could do what he did and he makes me feel so grateful for what I have.

We got a mini taste of winter because this morning when I finally got up, the snow was all gone and we had 2-3 inches. The temperatures have cooperated with the fantasy of winter but we are supposed to go up to the 60 degrees in a few days. I, for one, will take as much warm weather as is given. I am not looking forward to winter and this small episode makes me appreciate much more the warmer weather yet to come. Has it put you into the Christmas Spirit? Halloween is yet to come,so enjoy all the holidays regardless of weather. They are special times for everyone. Our children savor them so much, remember our young times? Children, with their innocence, give us so much joy with their pure gusto for the traditions and celebrations that we create.

I received this email today and I have a special spot in my heart for the Story Corps who came to my town and gave everyone the opportunity to tell their story and get the gift of a DVD for free. I took advantage of the opportunity and my son Bruce asked me questions which I then answered. What a legacy to leave to your family. I wanted to share this organization in case you have never heard of it and they are giving you small tastes of what has been already done. Check it out! Enjoy! Celebrate!

Dear Friend,

We’re honored that Google has chosen to showcase the #WhoWeAre series today on the Google homepage.

StoryCorps’ #WhoWeAre series of animations showcases extraordinary stories of compassion and provides the ultimate anecdote of hope, as we move through the most negative and dividing election in U.S. history. Created in partnership with mission-driven media company Upworthy, the series is supported by Steven Spielberg’s Righteous Persons Foundation and Delta Air Lines.

Today’s promotion offers a unique opportunity to cut through the noise of the election season and to use social media to share stories that speak to our best selves, our kindness for one another, and the capacity that Americans have to bridge divides.

Take part in this campaign: Share these stories and make plans to reach out to someone who may see the world differently than you do. Use the free StoryCorps app to record your conversation (get the app at https://storycorps.me/
With the whole world watching to see what happens in less than two weeks, let us send a message of optimism, compassion and empathy.

Help us make #WhoWeAre a trending topic today.

Warm regards,

Founder and President

This subject is dear to my heart. I too used the artificial sweeteners and they created havoc with my body. Because so many of you are unaware of these ingredients in the food you are putting into your body, I wanted to give you a heads up. I, personally use Natural Stevia in liquid form. Some Stevia products give an aftertaste so be careful to get the pure stuff so you will enjoy it.
