This January/February Thaw has been much appreciated.  It has been wonderful to wake up to the sun and actually see the sun setting. It gives us a little taste of what is to come.  Of course, it makes us impatient for Spring except for the skiers but the ski resorts are now capable of making their own snow.  In fact, this winter, most of the snow has been focused on the mountains.  I know the ice fishermen love this winter as I see them out more and more than in previous years. I did see something on the frozen lake that I had never seen before and it was fascinating.  It was the size of a golf cart but more closed in.  It did not have wheels, I think it had either skis or treads and it had a plow.  Sooo, it carried all the equipment for ice fishing including the plastic hut and they had a clear spot to put up their housing.  It was fascinating to watch it move around on the ice. Watching all the ice skaters gliding so effortlessly on the ice brought back a lot of my own memories of skating. I could actually feel the freedom they were feeling.

Bouncer nurses  are such a great idea even if the title sounds a little tough.  Give it a listen.

Can you just imagine what our world will look like and what it will be like to live when this  invention  is put out to us, the public?

When I first saw this, I did a double take as it could have been me, it looked like me from the back with all the purple.  As I watched, my heart went out to both of them and I sent much  gratitude  for those wonderful young men.

This IS the WORLD I wish to live in.

YOU ARE PERFECT IN THIS MOMENT

Have you put your air conditioner away yet?  I think this fall and winter weather is here to stay until next spring. I have forgotten how nice it is to sit in front of a window when the sun is pouring in.  It just brings such life to my body, mind and spirit.  I have not put my kayak away yet as I am hoping for al least one more jaunt around the lake .  We have been having quite a bit of wind and breeze and I am waiting for still waters and a few more degrees above freezing. All of us humans talk about the weather because it is the one thing we neighbors all have in common, we all share this with each other, and we can speak to even strangers with this topic.

After reading this article which I hope goes viral, don’t let anyone tell you that one person cannot make a difference.  I can just picture this going around the planet on social media.  What a difference it would make for many of our fellow humans.  The pharmaceutical companies and insurance companies that are making such a profit on helpless individuals should be red-faced. You and I and others like us, can make a difference.  Every time you and I spend even a dollar, it is a vote for the manufacturer of that product. How many times a week do you vote?  We do make a difference but we are just not aware of how we are enabling those that plunder the public for their own profit margin..

This is an example of true love of neighbor even when you don’t know them. I can honestly say I don’t think I could do what he did but the fact that he did it, is another great example of how one person made a huge difference.

Watch this video as it brings a new awareness of cows in Nepal.  It shocked me to see them on the highway and that fact is taken for granted. Another inspiring miracle achieved first by one person and then with help. I can’t even imagine starting any action such as this one.  It is huge.

This video starts slow but hold on, there is a lot more to come.  I listened to this twice and I want to go back again to watch and listen.  While he is talking, it seems to make sense and I have AHA moments but afterwards, I know it is still not in my reasoning. ARE YOU A BEACON?

I am sitting here at the computer with all the windows open, hurray!.  It is so great to hear the birds and their chirping and singing.  My favorite time is to open my house to all of nature and her sounds.  I did go on my air conditioner trip and it has been such a learning experience.  I only have two rooms where the furniture and windows would allow me to put a portable one in so I picked the spare bedroom to put it in with the hope that the coolness and dryness would spread to the rest of my five room house albeit at a less effective outcome. I have a modular home, two halves of a house put together therefore I do not have any side windows and each room only has one window except the living room which has a bow window which is not conducive to putting the attachment to bring the moisture outside.

So….I bought an 8,000 BTU which had confusing info as to the footage that it would take care of. Even on line, it said 350 sq ft but on the written paper with the air conditioner it said 150 sq ft TO 250 sq ft. The hose was not long enough to make much of a difference to the rest of the house and the air felt like cold wet air.  Not refreshing at all. I was really trying to adapt to the noise, the lack of space in the room and wondering if this is what air conditioning really did.

I decided to call different Ocean State Job Lots to see if they had any new delivery of air conditioners even though when I had called them before, they told me that they would NOT be getting any more this year. All the stores were sold out but a little voice told me to try. I was hoping but was actually surprised when I was told at this particular location that they had a 14,000 BTU air conditioner that had been returned, not used at all but it was without the box it came in. Consequently the price went from$350 to $210 because it had no box.  All the required pieces were there and the paperwork also.  I was so excited so I called my son and told him about it.  He said to go check it out and he would install it for me. If I did buy it, they would allow me to return it if it did not fit or I could not use it because I was buying it without the box????  What did I have to lose if it did not work except for putting my son through more work which he did not seem to mind doing? One BIG thing I learned through this is that I cannot be the independent person that I was before as things have changed so much that  I just do not know what is out there let alone of how to do it. I am ever so grateful for my older son who has assumed the burden of caring for his mother and trying to understand why I do NOT understand what he takes for granted in his knowing. As I left the store with my new purchase, there lay a penny on the ground.  I laughed and picked it up as the angels spread these pennies around to remind us if what is printed and true on this coin of the smallest denomination…. In God We Trust.  I had trusted in His voice who had spoken to me.

I had been told that the higher BTU is bigger and louder but this one was not any louder than the smaller one. And….the air when it was running was not cold and wet, it was dry and cool.  I have not been able to really test it as it has been so nice the last three days that no air conditioner was needed.  The next week is going back to being humid so I will be able to really test the larger one to see if it will do what I need it to do.  The saga of learning about air conditioners is soon to be a thing of the past.

You actually do not need to say or do anything, your Light is like a Lighthouse Beacon .We are all beacons as we go about our life.

Imagine a caravan of grandmothers.  This is such a great idea and blesses those who are able to join it.  I am sure that grandfathers will be a part of it also.
