MIRACLE RESCUES – ANIMAL OR HUMAN

Beloved,

Last Saturday, the day before Mother’s Day, a mother Canadian goose showed up on the beach with her 5 babies. She gave me pause as I wondered why she was alone and no other adult goose was with her. So I watched her for a while but duty called. I kept being pulled back to watch her more. She could walk but her walk with one leg was deliberate. Her babies did not huddle under her wing; they huddled together although she was next to them. Then I realized that she was standing on only one leg. So I kept watching all of them. The babies would be moving away from her but she would move her head and then they would all scurry back to be closer.

I have seen families of geese every year and in fact, last year two families of geese banded together and became four adults and 10 little ones. That was fascinating to watch them take care of their own but still be one whole family. But this mother had no one. Usually the other adults, and we have about 20 Canadian geese on this lake, stay on the periphery because the parents do not want them too close to their babies. BUT THEY ARE THERE.

On Mother’s Day she was back and still had her 5 babies and was still alone. I found her once where her babies where huddled near the water and she was close to them on one leg and had her head in her wing. She was taking a nap. I could not fathom the immensity of the role she was playing. Then I realized what a model she was especially for Mothers on Mother’s Day. Here was a handicapped mother with 5 babies to take care of. Can you imagine if that was you? What a symbol for Mother’s Day.

During the week, she was back and another adult was with her but not too close, it looked like she was ignoring him. I have heard that they mate for life so perhaps she was not ready for another partner. This morning, my heart leapt. She was back with still ALL 5 babies and two other adults who had 3 babies. She now has an extended family to help her keep an eye out for any danger. One of my neighbors was throwing rocks near them to make a big splash so they would go out onto the lake. I found myself watching again. They all went a ways out onto the water but all 3 adults turned and faced my neighbor and let it be known with their vocal honks that they were not going anywhere. When they are threatened, they try to put on a brave front like saying: You can’t make me go; I will go when I please. When my neighbor turned and left, the geese just turned back and they went somewhere else on the lake. It is sad that they are not wanted but they make such a mess of the beach and even on the grass. Their poop is hard to rake up and it also makes a mess of the water and the beach. Have you found a way to keep geese away? If so, I would love to hear about it.

The beach that was in its purest and barest form is now being transformed for the upcoming season. Rocks have been delivered to help the boat launch be more stable and usable. The new sand has been delivered and is sitting on the beach waiting for the rototiller man to come and make it a smooth and soft beach again. Some kids are having a ball before this happens by digging in the pure sand and running up and sliding down and being kids with a pile of sand. The dock is not out yet but is waiting patiently to be put together to serve the boats and some fishermen. Plans are made to put the raft out into the water so the kids can swim out and then jump off. The beach is getting ready for the influx of people who are waiting eagerly for it to get warmer so they can play. It is fun to watch the changes.

I have been out in my kayak but there are not many boats out yet. A stray one once in a while yet most are the smaller canoes or kayaks. In fact, they are not actually in the water yet and most docks are not out yet. I have the whole lake to myself (except for the geese and ducks. This is the time of year that I can closer to the shore in the coves because the water lilies have not grown and taken over. Since the leaves on the trees are just beginning to come out, I have views of the houses that are usually hidden behind the trees. The whole lake has a different feel to it. I think that is what makes it so exciting to live so close to the water. The hummingbirds are here and so are the Baltimore Orioles. Usually only the cat birds and the Baltimore Orioles eat the grape jelly but a new animal has been added. I had to move the feeders around because the squirrels were cleaning out all my jelly before the birds could get to it. I even noticed a golden finch trying the jelly but only once, it seems to prefer its seed, thank god. Enjoy this Spring warming up where ever you are celebrating it.

Since I made so much of Mother’s Day models, I thought you would like to see these never die models.

Would you like to end the plastic takeover and instead see plastic as a valuable resource? This blew my mind.

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY TO ALL HUMANS

Beloved,

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY! To all of the caretakers who are surrogates of the Divine Mother Energy, blessings to you. This is a day to honor the LOVE that is held in a mothers heart whether it is in a single dad’s heart, in the armed forces, in a teacher, a crossing guard, a judge, a parole officer, foster parents, etc., etc., etc. I HONOR YOU.

From the time I was able to think of my future, I only wanted to be a mother. When I was five and my brother was born or when I was a teenager envisioning my future, I knew without a doubt that my mission was to be a mother. I was so sure of that fact that I never even considered if I would physically be able to have a child. There are many females who are mothers because of their love and care of children that were not born of them. I married at 17 and became a mother shortly after I turned 18. Didn’t we feel adult at that age, so cocky sure of ourselves and our lives? What an awakening I had when my son was born and put in my arms.

In fact, I asked my first born son, Steve if he would come with me to lunch as I wanted to celebrate a 60th anniversary. He was confused and asked why. I said:” 60 years ago today, I became a mother for the first time and I want to celebrate that fact. You opened me to a love that I never knew existed and I still feel that unconditional love today and the moment that it happened.” I love my daughter and my younger son as much as I do my eldest son but he was the very first experience I had of such a deep love and totally unconditional. Where would this world be without the experience of such a love? Would anyone know it existed or that it was possible?

The book I wrote: “The Wounded Chalice” is a book about the sanctity of the human womb which is the only organ that can sustain a human life from conception. When a hysterectomy was called for, I told the doctors that I would not have the surgery unless they returned my uterus to me so that I could honor my children’s first home, the haven that protected them when I could not and who knew them before I did. After some heated discussions, I won out and my three children were with me the day I buried it so they could honor the part of my body that allowed them to have life. At the time I made the decision, it felt right to do it. Yet the day (Thanksgiving) I told my children what I had done and asked them to be alongside me, I had an awareness of how unusual my request had been.

I have borne three children, two boys and a girl. My oldest son, Steve has three children, my daughter, Debra has one daughter who in turn has my great grandson, Morgan and my youngest son, Bruce has no children yet he inherited my heart for mothering others. Humanity, wake up and smell the roses. We are one species on one planet and we are gifted with the heart that has the ability to feel unconditional love. Wouldn’t you like to feel that emotion all the time? It is possible and also probable. Look around and you will see that Love abounds all around you. The media does not show as much love as there is out there because it does not sell. They think that only horror makes headlines and money because that is what we are tuning into. Will you join me as we show this whole planet what being human really means?

I want to share this in honor of Mother’s Day. Most of us are not aware that there is such a vehicle but it gives you the ability to leave a message to your loved ones that will last long after you are gone. My younger son, Bruce interviewed me for what I had to say and I now have a CD that can be passed down to my family. Mine was done before the smart phone. Check this out.

I was so impressed by these young men. What if they had not been born? I love technology even as I struggle with it but I am always amazed by the human brain that comes up with these inventions. A computer cannot compete with our brain; it just makes our inventions more plausible.

DEAL BREAKER

Beloved,

I awoke this morning with a calm peace that I have not felt in quite a while. In my dream before I woke, I had made a monumental decision. The partner I was with had not kept his word. I noticed an open pack of cigarettes in his shirt pocket and I asked about them. He just smiled. In my real life, I was a smoker for 20 years but it finally caught up to me and the doctor said I had to make a choice, cigarettes or my job as my body could not handle both. I had a well-paying job and as a single mom, I could not afford to give it up so…..I gave up smoking. It was difficult as I felt as if I was forced into that decision (Thank God) and my body continued to have a severe reaction whenever I was around smoke. In my dream we had made a pact that he would never smoke so when I noticed the cigarettes and his knowing smile that it didn’t matter, I made an immediate decision and ended the relationship.

Notice that he was NOT smoking but the pack was opened and he made no attempt to hide them. The word DEAL BREAKER jumped out at me. I woke being peaceful yet was thinking about all the deal breakers in my life. How many have you had? The worst deal breakers are the ones that we break with ourselves. How many times have you remained in relationship when the other one has broken the deal you both had made? I did that quite a bit as I was a people pleaser. I broke many deals with myself as I told myself never again yet I would repeat the same actions again and again.

I think of a deal or commitment as a strong piece of rope that holds and supports you both. Yet I realize now that before the DEAL BREAKER, there had been many snips of the threads that made up the rope. One final incident snipped the last thread and then the deal maker became the deal breaker. I lay there thinking over my life and realized that during the little snips, I was emotional and upset but when it came to the final snip, I was calm and at peace. Have you ever reached that peaceful place where you are strong and know that this is it? Some people call it THE LAST STRAW. Has that ever happened to you?

I wonder if those moments are what are called milestones in our lives. It sure feels good to feel calm and peaceful. I don’t usually remember my dreams but this one sure made an impact. I am remembering the times when I felt this peace before as the calm before the storm. When I get to a deal breaker moment, I get very quiet. It feels like I am somewhere else although I am dealing with everything that occurred and all the changes that came about because of that decision. Perhaps that is when my Higher Self steps in and gives me whatever is needed at the moment. Until this morning, I was not aware of this process.

Loving yourself is the best indicator to making decisions. You have too long put others first and now this is the time to put yourself first. If your glass is half empty, what do you have to give to others? Fill yourself up to overflowing the brim and your love will effortlessly flow to all.
