THE MOTHER’S BLOOD OF LIFE

HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!

This is a very special day, one that every woman can rejoice in.
Whether you have physically had a child or not, you have an organ
that makes you unique. EVERY human on this planet has come
through his/her mother’s womb. You are the future of the human
race, without you the human race would cease to exist. You carry
your child’s first home, an organ that was designed to protect and
nurture your baby until it is ready to debut into the world and
join the human race. Your womb knew your baby before you did.

When the medical profession told me I needed a hysterectomy, I
refused to have the procedure unless they returned my womb to
me so I could honor it. Since I was a little girl, I knew that my
mission in this world was to be a mother. I never even considered
if it would be physically possible, I just KNEW.

My request did send a ripple through the medical community but
my gynecologist was female and once I had convinced her, she
went to bat for me. Except for the male pathologist who just could
not understand why I wanted my uterus back. He even called me
and tried for a half hour to convince me otherwise and to try to
understand why I was so adamant.

I told him: “This little organ allowed me to fulfill my life’s mission.
It protected my children (I had three) when I could not consciously do
so. I cannot let you treat it like a piece of shoe leather, I won’t allow it.”

I prepared for the ceremony even though I had not told my children
what I was planning. This would be in the cold weather so I dug
a hole in front of my statue of Mother Mary and saved the dirt for
later. I found a big rock and put it over the hole for the moment.
I used my mom’s cotton lace handkerchief for a shroud as I knew
both it and my uterus would go back to Mother Earth where they
had originally come from anyway.

On Thanksgiving Day I asked my three children to be at my home
at the same time. It was not until my children gathered around me
that the enormity of what I had done actually hit me. I started to
cry and asked them if they would help bury the first home they ever
knew. We had a little ceremony outside with each of them being
a part of it.

It was shortly after this that Mother Mary, the Divine Feminine,
asked me to write a book about my life as she said many
people would be inspired by how I have handled my
unique life experiences. She gave me the title: The Wounded
Chalice and told me she would guide me to a chalice whose
picture would be on the front of my book.

At that time, I had no idea what the title meant and just
how was I supposed to find a chalice? I ended up pawning
(my first experience with a pawn shop) three diamond earrings
in order to purchase it. I had recently lost my mortgage free
home to foreclosure, all the money I had saved and the IRS
placed a Federal Tax Lien on me due to some shenagigans
from my now ex-husband.

The chalice I was guided to get was broken in two and I
was not sure how to get it repaired but when Spirit asks you
to do something, the way will be shown to you one step at
a time. All I needed to do was trust.

I now know the meaning of the title,The Wounded Chalice.
The Chalice was wounded just like my womb had been
wounded, hence the similarity. Both the Chalice and the
womb hold the Blood of Life and Mother told me that
EVERY woman has a Chalice in her body.

Women, honor that Chalice in your body and honor
yourself for being the bearer of the Blood of Life.
There is no greater honor nor any greater LOVE
than that of the Mother.

Men, every one of you have come through your
mother’s Chalice to this earth. Honor the females
in your life and honor yourself for the protection
and safety that you afford them. Notice that it
was a male that saved this little creature so his
mother could care for him.

I was drawn to the valor of this particular mother
whose very nature keeps her airborn. There is too
much danger on the ground for her but to care for
her child, she risked her own safety. What a
symbol for motherhood.

PS. I also have never heard a hummingbird peep,
have you?

“This is actually a pretty amazing story about a baby hummingbird that was found on a sidewalk. He couldn’t fly, so I took him under my wing. At night, he would come home to our house for safety. During the day, he was in the backyard of the house near where I found him. About 4 days after I found him, I was holding him in my cupped hands when his mama came by to feed him. She had seen me around, I guess, because she just flew over, perched on my hand and then fed him. This happened a number of times, so I called a friend who is good with a video camera, and he came over to film some of the amazing goings on that I told him about.”

There’s a lot more to this story, but that’s enough info to give you some context for the video we posted to YouTube. Here’s the link:

HOW MANY HATS DO YOU WEAR?

It has been a very unusual week and I believe the weather
has had much to do with it. It kind of sets the tone for all
of our interactions.

What we had the most of this winter was wind – creating high
drifts although there was not much snow. The force of the wind
brought all the snow together in certain spots while other spots
were bare. The beach was all sand and yet I had drifts of snow
higher than the railing on my deck.

We had an early spring with wonderful weather, even though the
temperatures were erratic. I don’t mind getting May weather in
March, do you? Well right now, the last day of April, we are
having March weather. The winds have been blowing so much
that we even had gusts of 50 miles an hour yesterday.

I find watching the weather so fascinating although I do have a
preference for warm summer days when I can go kayaking and
then take a dip in the lake. I kayaked at the end of March but
cannot kayak now because the wind is so ferocious although it
is beautiful to watch the trees dance, especially now that they
have their dresses of flowers on and these flowers are dancing
all around.

The wind also helped me make up my mind whether to continue
with my idea of putting spinwheels ( I always called them pinwheels
but they are not held together with pins anymore) to try and persuade
the Canadian geese not to come on our beach. A beach that belongs
to a private beach club is right in front of my home so I have the joy
of watching the water and all its animals right from my bow
window.

Geese are beautiful and it is a joy to watch them serenely wafting
on the water. Yet….the downside is that they come onto the beach
and leave their calling cards which people and children step in.

Last year we tried a decoy of a coyote which worked until someone
stole it and we were back to square one. I had used spinwheels
placed under my wood fence to deter them from coming onto my
grass for food last year and they worked well. So this year I
decided to try them across the beach front which is considerably
larger than the area I was doing for my yard. I purchased the
spinwheels three separate times because I would run short and
the geese discovered that there was space in between them
where they could come through without hurting themselves.

Yesterday, I came home from yoga to discover flying spinwheels
all over. The wind was so ferocious that the water had white caps
and the waves even buried some of them in the mud at the water’s edge.
If you could have seen me trying to play catch with the wind, you
would have smiled. I laughed at myself as I ran around trying to
catch them. I pulled them all back up and put them away for
safe keeping. Today, I made the decision to surrender my
resistance (what you resists, persists) and pray that someone
else can come up with a better idea.

Do you have a better idea to discourage the geese?I would
love to hear it.

While I was playing this game with the geese, I realized that by
putting up a barrier to keep them away, I was also keeping other
wildlife away. I love to watch the ducks when they come to the
edge to preen and I delight in watching the slow easy stride
of the Great Blue Heron looking for fish and also the little
birds that feed around the edge. All that joy and beauty
had come to a standstill because I had put up barriers and
was trying to fight against the natural flow of Mother Nature.

When I received this link to the photos on the Year in the
Life of our President, I could not help but compare what I was doing
and what the president is doing. He is trying to protect the US and
at the same time, keep our democracy and freedom intact to enjoy
what life offers to each of us.

I am so grateful that the decisions I make do not affect others except
that I was trying to ease their burden of raking up the poop everytime
they come to enjoy the beach and the possibility that it could be shut
down because of contamination. The enormity of what the President
has on his shoulders really came to life for me.

He is not only the President but a husband and father who wants to
make the world a better place for everyone’s children. It takes a
special person to be able to juggle all the demands on his time and
still be able to smile and play with his children and have time with
his wife and yet remain balanced in his Spirit to make those
decisions that affect each and every one of us.

Every parent knows the demands on their time made by their
children, could you handle the awesome responsibility of
the country and your family? I need to admit that I could
not and I am amazed at how President Obama does this with such Grace.

I hope you enjoy the pictures of his first year and the insight
you will get from watching him wear all the hats he has.

ASTOUNDING PICTURES OF ICELAND’S VOLCANO – EYJAFJALLAJOKULL

Beloveds,
What wonderful energy came together for the Whole
Health Expo held last weekend. I met so many
wonderful new people who are on their path and
wanting to put their piece of the puzzle into the
colorful and unique mozaic that is Mother Earth.

This was my second year as a speaker and exhibitor
but this time I was asked by Mother Mary, the Divine
Feminine, to bring a stronger presence of Her to the
people. She wanted to reach out and speak to her
children that needed support and love to continue
on their destiny with loving confidence in themselves.

Mother Mary wanted to touch them physically also
and to let them know they were being touched by
Her Love. Hugs are the best way to transmit this
energy and it is my favorite way of sharing Her love.

I must say that it was a stepping off the cliff for me
yet I was definitely supported. I have done sessions
before where Mother has come through for people
but it was always done one at a time and in my
home where it was quiet and serene. I was being
asked to step beyond my comfort zone and cross
the boundaries I had previously placed there.

I did not know if I could do it with all the noise and
activity of the crowd around me, I did have some
trepidation. Years ago, whenever I heard the “F” word,
it was like something scraping my soul, it literally was
so heavy that I felt like I was being covered in mud.

What You Resist Persists so as long as I was resisting the
“F” word, I would hear it repeatedly being said. By my
coworkers (mostly male) and even occasionally by my
sons who knew they could push Mom’s buttons that way.

I decided to choose my own “F” word so I could
replace the other one. I ended up with two F words
which are Fear and Faith. You cannot feel both at
the same time so when I feel Fear, I stop for a moment
and bring up the feeling of Faith .

Every time I would feel myself feeling some concern over
Mother’s request, I would think of the Love that she
wanted to give others through me. How could I say NO?
I had to step out in Faith.

I was so blessed by all who I met and hugged. It is quite a
paradox, what you give comes back to you multiplied.

Remember to step out in Faith towards whatever your
heart is pulling you to do. You will be supported with
LOVE.

I want to share some amazing photos with you about
the volcano eruptions in Iceland. It is mind boggling
to see what power and strength Mother Nature has
yet how we are protected and cared for through
the seeming disaster. These Icelanders show such
courage and concern for the creatures that are
under their care.

I realize that world trade and personal schedules were
severely disrupted. There are many perspectives to
see here and much gratitude and appreciation flowing
now that things are getting back to normal.

Let us send some healing Love Energy to the Icelanders who
are going through this challenging time and who are the
ones remaining to clean up the debris and disruptions
to their lives.

Enjoy these pictures, they are spectacular.
