BULLYING FEVER? VIRUS?

Dear One,

Are our children reflecting the world’s woe? Is there such a
thing as bullying fever and is it contagious?

I know it is as contagious as a virulent virus of hate that can seep
into our society. Yet….a virulent virus of love can also seep
into our society. Which one will we choose?

I lived in South Hadley and also Springfield, Massachusetts
that is being highlighted in the media for bullying right now .
Bullying is a global virus spreading its fever among all
communities and not just youthful communities but among
all of humanity.

Is war bullying? I say that it is; as the strong or those who think
they are the strongest try to dominate the supposedly weaker ones.
What example are we adults giving to our children and youth?

What is the answer? Should we treat them as they treated others?
Should we retaliate with the same perspective as they have?

I know that what they did was horribly wrong, there is no human on
earth that has not experienced being bullied, some more than others.
We know what it feels like and it makes us want to run away, to
escape from the pain of feeling so worthless and unwanted.

To bully the bullies is mirroring that terrible offense back to them, in
essence showing them and the world that it is okay to bully anyone
that is not in agreement. Notice that it is only the other teens that
are responding to the bullies in like manner. Let’s show these
teens that there are other solutions.

Our teens and children need our guidance and also our example
of how to deal with this intolerable situation. We must show
compassion but also strength, show them that this behavior
is not acceptable…BY ANYONE.

Since this is my neighborhood, I feel almost like it is happening
in my own home. Let us begin in our homes to show an
example of right behavior and then let it spread to our
neighborhoods, towns, cities, states, and finally to other
countries.

I am choosing to spread LOVE and COMPASSION for ALL.

We adults can show our children what it is like to think about
others in a thoughtful way even if others are different. We can
respect the differences and share the similarities between us.

Love and Light,

Mary Grace

THE VATICAN AS NEVER SEEN BEFORE

Happy Easter,

What a beautiful spring day it was today. The Northeast has
had so much rain that we are waterlogged. We have had April
weather in March. As someone I met said: “Instead of April showers
bring May flowers, we have become March floods brings April buds.”

I need to confess that I went out in my kayak today. I did check with
my therapist and she said to try it. I usually go all around the lake but my
shoulder was happy that I did only one third of the lake. I was satisfied
to sit in the kayak in the water and let the motion of the water just lull me.

Tomorrow is supposed to be the warmest, almost 80 degrees but my
little granddaughter is celebrating her first birthday of being on this
planet and that comes first. I am so looking forward to the party being
outside and having the family around. This way I will give my shoulder
a rest and will try again on Sunday, Easter.

What a great way to celebrate the Resurrection, it is my most favorite
HolyDay of the year. We are all reborn and so is all of nature. No
matter where you go everyone is smiling now that the sun is out. It will
be a great day for the Easter egg hunt and the children will get to
wear their Easter clothes without having to wear a winter coat as
many Easters they have had to. And….the eggs won’t freeze as
they are waiting to be found by little hands.

I have an Easter gift or spring gift for you. Technology today can
bring things right into our own homes without having to travel to
see the sights. I have been to Rome but this video will give you
the opportunity to study up close all it has to offer. In fact,
you can see things better this way than actually being there.

I hope you enjoy it and remember to let hope spring into
your heart, it is the season.

Subject: the Vatican you have never seen before !
