HONOR TO THE LABORERS

Happy Labor Day, thank you to all the laborers out there that make my life so much easier.

Are you hungering for world peace like I am?  UNIFY is offering all of us an opportunity to join with each other across this beautiful globe with the Campaign for world Peace from August 23 to September 23. This is a powerful month culminating with the World Peace Weekend 9-21 to 9-23.  There are many simple ways of sharing Peace, for instance smiling at those you meet in your daily life; whether it is at the grocery store, gas station, doctor’s office, etc.  Let’s make World Peace Day an everyday occurrence.

I had such a wonderful three day trip to Maine to visit with my special friend Barry Costa and his son, Anthony.  Barry creates websites and is a computer guru with an imagination that just won’t quit. He not only helped me with my website and answers my simple questions when I get confused with what this machine is trying to get me to do but he is a friend at the deepest level and caliber.  These two brought me to the ocean which I was craving to do and assisted me with my scooter which does not do well in sand but there was quite a walk on the sidewalk to get to the beach.  I am laughing now as I remember myself feeling like a crab as I kept moving the chair he had brought for me to sit and put my feet in the refreshing and renewing ocean water.  He had brought me to the ocean at high tide so I would not have to walk far to reach the water but as it kept receding, I would take me chair and scoot to the water.  I really felt like a crab and probably looked like one too. It was a joy to watch father and son water boarding on the waves; they are quite good at it. I feel the need to return to the ocean at least once a year so my heart beat can match up with the rhythm of the ocean. It’s like being a clock that needs to be rewound.

I was treated like royalty the whole weekend.  They wouldn’t even let me make myself a cup of tea, they were always serving me.  I was even sent home with homemade chicken noodle soup which Barry knows I love and he makes it gluten free for me. I was also treated to a breakfast made for a queen.  Fresh blueberry pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon and toast with raspberry jelly that Anthony had made from his jaunt to pick  fresh.raspberries. Yummy.  The best part?  I did not eat alone like I do at home, the company made the food even more delectable. What an adventure. I wish this experience for all of you on this journey of life.

I want to leave you with a smile on this beautiful Labor Day celebration. Labor Day honors the laborers that make our lives easier so this is quite apropos.

NEW IDEAS & MEMORY LANE

As I sit here, I am waiting for the person who is going to transform my deck from a deck that is so dirty from the weather and so much peeling going on that it needs a scraping AND a sanding.  It was supposed to have been done by now but he ended going to the emergency room for pain in his leg which turned out to be a cyst.  I am excited to get his call which means he is healing and also my deck will begin its healing.

Although I sit here in the humidity and heat of a 90 degree day, it also feels like fall is very close by.  I realized last night that the sun was setting an hour earlier than it has been and my clear view of the sunset was not as full as the sunset is moving back behind the trees.  I also came to the realization that I have been as cooped up in the house because of the heat as I am in the winter because of the cold and snow. I am eagerly looking forward to opening up my windows and doors to let in “fresh” air.  It feels like I will really appreciate the fall this year even if it does mean we are closer to winter.  Aren’t we fortunate to have 4 seasons as we get to taste all that Mother Nature has to offer us?

My grandson bought a 1997 Lincoln Town Car.  When he took me out for a ride in it, I was amazed at how much our cars have changed.  It was such a luxury to sink into the seats in his car and it reminded me of how we used to sit three people in the front.  In fact, it had three sets of seat belts in the front.  His trunk seemed so massive to me but I do remember having that much room in some of my cars.  I thought you might enjoy going down memory lane  with me so I included a link that AAA has so generously shared with us.

I guess I am going down memory lane this week.  Has someone ever said to you:” I don’t know what this world and the young people in it are up to these days.”  It seems like we are having a harder time bridging the generation gap.  Here is wisdom from Abraham that brought the answer to that question so much clearer to me.

Children coming forth today have a greater capacity to deal with the greater variety of information that is coming forward than you did. They deliberately are coming forth into this environment where there is more to contemplate. This generation gap that you are talking about, it has ever been thus. Each new generation, every new individual, that comes forth, is coming with you having prepared a different platform for them to proceed from. There is this thing that gets in the way of that that says, “I’m the parent. I got here first. I know more than you do.” From the children’s perspective, and from the purity of their Nonphysical Perspective, what they are saying is, “You’re the parent. You got here first. You prepared a platform that I am leaping off from — and my leap will be beyond anything that you have ever known.”

This story gave me a different perspective on crows.  I know they wake me in the morning with their chatter as they search the beach in hopes of finding some crumbs that visitors might have left.  I never realized that they were so intelligent.  Enjoy this amazing story.  Wouldn’t it be great if all cities used them for a clean-up crew

EXCITING NEWS

The ancient Kahuna prayer below stopped me in my tracks. Nick Polizzi, Founder of The Sacred Science, sent this out in his newsletter and it made me stop and become more cognizant of how I seek wisdom outside of myself.

These words are particularly potent right NOW – in an era where it has become so easy to get distracted by our phones, computers and TVs. Our senses are overloaded with constant information – from text message threads to scary headlines on social media to the droning voices of news pundits…

Another heatwave has arrived and I am so grateful that I can choose between two machines, air conditioner and dehumidifier, to make my body much happier and mind and heart less foggy. Swimming in the lake is another alternative which I think I will do right after I write to you.

Have you tried this app?  It sounds like fun but also so much easier.  When I was trying to catch the critter that was throwing my bird feeders on the ground, thus breaking them, it would have been great to borrow one instead of having to go out and buy one.  Think of how much more space you would have in your garage, cellar and attic.

I will be going to a town meeting to understand how more land is needed to make a solar power farm.  I am not very knowledgeable about solar power but I am bringing copies of this opportunity to show the committee and others how in the very near future we will  not need to cut down our trees or get the neighbors upset but putting this so close to them. See what you think.  Do you know what your town or city is doing about this?  You could probably give them  some new information  that they are not aware of.

You never know when a virtuoso will show up in your life?  This made me stop and listen.

I think we are going to be seeing more goats on our planet in the near future.  What do you think?

Tears are in my eyes each time they tell us of a child that drowned.  My heart goes out to everyone connected to such a tragedy.  Look at this if you want to have  hope  that there will no longer be a threat of this kind to our children.
