A VERY DIFFERENT NEWSLETTER

Beloved,

With all the craziness going on, my heart and mind are in turmoil. Perhaps it is the full moon or the Summer Solstice or perhaps it is the news that I cannot get away from. My heart is being called to speak out because the atrocities are bigger than I can handle. In my Spirit, I know we are all ONE but this is a time where I am struggling to see the best in those who govern us, those who we have given our power to. I refuse to let my voice be silent while those I have given power to run ram shod over the people who put them in power yet feel powerless. There are so many more of us than them, why are we not making sure our voices and opinions count. My sense of fairness is being challenged big time by our voting system.

The sit in of the democratic senators of sooo many hours trying to solve the gun problem and the death of so many people, some whom you know and love was after I received this message. Both events deserve our vote so we, as a people, can make our voice heard to those in the House who refuse to care about the ordinary citizens of this country and all around the world. Let us be the Light and the Way shower for others who do not have a voice. Please consider signing this petition and make our choice unmistakable to those who we have given power to.
Dear friends,

Something amazing happened yesterday: Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT) and 38 other senators staged a 15-hour filibuster until Republican leaders agreed to act on America’s gun violence epidemic. This is a major tipping point following the Orlando tragedy that targeted the LGBTQ community and took 49 lives.

When politicians stick their necks out an issue like gun violence, it’s important they see that we’ll have their backs. Join me in adding your name to this petition now. http://act.weareultraviolet.org/sign/senate_guns_filibuster/?aktmid=tm1655032.810xdn&t=2&source=conf

This song so speaks of what our hearts our saying to the world. We CAN do something about this. Let’s join in harmony and stop the slaughter.

Bless the beasts and the children.

Have you signed the petition or made your voice heard in any way?

I do not like sending out such videos because I believe in seeing the best in everyone. I applaud Senator Elizabeth Warren for her courage. I am sure that Donald Trump has a good side but his thinking of solutions is askew. We cannot and would not take away his freedom of speech but in no way can we allow ourselves to give away our freedom of speech. We already have those in power who only think of themselves and their pocket book rather than the good of the people and this country. WE, as a people, need to stand up for what is good and what is fair. Isn’t that what our country stands for? One thing I thank Donald Trump for is for being the catalyst for us to see the truth in politics and where our hard earned income is going. We DO have a voice, isn’t it about time we use it? When billionaires only try to scam the hard working populace, it is time to stand up and say NO! Regardless of what party or what others believe, go into your heart and find the answer for yourself and your family.

There are so many good stories on the Good News Newsletter that I just cannot separate them. I hope this works to send you the entire one as this is what makes us humans human. POOR IN SPIRIT / HIGH ON LIFE

Beloved,

I realize I am sending this newsletter out a little later than normal. I spoke of getting a motorized scooter last week and it was delivered last night. My son came over this morning to put it together for me and then wanted to take me out for brunch and then to give me the chance to try my new skills at putting it together and taking it apart so it goes into my car. It is hard to practice in the house so we went to a store where I could drive it and get more comfortable with it. Watch out world, here I come!

When I had surgery on my knee, I had to use the motorized chairs in the stores and they overwhelmed. I could not figure out why but my sense of vision was distorted as I was seeing everything at a different angle. I was scared I would run into people so I was not in the least comfortable using it. When I tried this “Hero” scooter from Walgreens today, I felt a lot more comfortable. It is a lot smaller and maneuvers easily and brakes automatically when you take your finger off the motion control(lever). I did not get such a distorted vison of my surroundings. I felt in control of it more. I also learned to be slow at the end of aisles as I could not see over anything because of sitting down lower and could not see if someone was coming. It actually was easy to go around the corners and I felt quite comfortable. One thing I need to figure out is how to have a large enough basket to put my purchases in. I am sure there is a way that someone has figured out for that concern. Do you know anyone who has? Please let me know.

This weather is such a boon. WE ARE FINALLY OUT OF HIBERNATION! The flowers are coming up and the sun is hanging around a lot longer at night. Of course, we are outside cleaning up from winter so everything can wake up. Well, these little critters are waking up also. The following is a natural way to protect yourselves and your animals against these ticks.

Its an epidemic this year, and these things are as lethal as a venomous snake in the wrong senerio!… Please not only read it, but share it! Make sure we get the word out about these tics and the disease they carry!

It’s summer! Time for camping, hiking and getting outside to play. Don’t let those pesky annoying ticks stop you. Here’s how with a simple homemade solution!

Repellent for your pets:
For pets, add 1 cup of water to a spray bottle, followed by 2 cups of distilled white vinegar. Ticks hate the smell and taste of vinegar, and will be easily be repelled by this ingredient alone. Then, add two spoonfuls of vegetable or almond oil, which both contain sulfur (another natural tick repellent).
To make a repellent that will also deter fleas, mix in a few spoonfuls of lemon juice, citrus oil, or peppermint oil, any of which will repel ticks and fleas while also creating a nicely scented repellent. Spray onto the pet’s dry coat, staying away from sensitive areas including eyes, nose, mouth, and genitals. When outdoors for an extended period, spray this solution on two to three times per day.

For you and your family:
In a spray bottle, mix 2 cups of distilled white vinegar and 1 cup of water. To make a scented solution so you do not smell like bitter vinegar all day, add 20 drops of your favorite essential oil.
Eucalyptus oil is a calm, soothing scent that also works as a tick repellent, while peppermint and citrus oils give off a strong crisp scent that also repel ticks.
After mixing the solution, spray onto clothing, skin, and hair before going outdoors. Reapply every four hours to keep ticks at bay, and examine your skin and hair when back inside to make sure no ticks are on the body.

It certainly has been an exciting week for me although the ups and downs are still occurring. I am more comfortable with whatever happens and do not “fret” as much. I came across this explanation for Peace of Mind from Eckhart Tolle and it makes a lot of sense. I know I have been certainly focusing a lot more about “being in the present”. “Poor in spirit?” Eckhart Tolle

The energy is doing its up and down thing too so it is not surprise that we are all feeling it. There is a new moon tomorrow and a new moon is a perfect time to set your intention, whatever it might be.

A FANTASTIC GIFT FOR YOU

Beloved,

This is certainly a busy time of the year. How are you doing with your time? It is a part of the Christmas season to be busy thinking about all those you love and how to please them. Please do not forget that YOU are extremely important to all you love so save some time for yourself even if it is only a few minutes of time to close your eyes and just focus on breathing. Breathing is essential and we breathe quite differently when we are rushed or harried. Just pay attention to the air going in and out of your nostrils and mouth. It does not take long for you to begin to feel more centered and energized. This is a season of testing your belief in yourself and who you really are. Michael Buble and Elmo say it best.

Holiday Survival tips for empaths. Every mom is an empath yet you don’t need to be a mom to be an empath. We actually all are empathic even if we are not aware of it. These tips can help you survive not only family at Christmas but at any other time of the year.

This week, the whole week including Saturday and Sunday has me on the road each and every day. I even had two Christmas parties on the same day. I am grateful that although on the same day they at least were scheduled for different meals – one was for lunch and the other for dinner. I thoroughly enjoyed them both and came back home at 9:30 PM with such a light heart and a satiated body and soul. While I was out gallivanting, I even managed to find a glass pot for my coffee pot which if you have ever tried, is an amazing feat. Replacements never seem to fit just right and although you can make coffee, they don’t sit on the heating element the same way so your coffee doesn’t stay hot.

I seem to be in a pattern of breaking glass, maybe I am going to go through the glass ceiling. My favorite glass broke, my glass coffee pot cracked, I can’t replace my wall mounted cordless screwdriver and flashlight, they don’t make them anymore. A lady’s best friend is her electric screwdriver; it is amazing what it can do that I can’t do manually. I have had quite a few lessons in being in a throwaway society this week. I long for the time when we had fewer selections yet spare parts were still available which made it simple to keep your favorite things and you did not need to learn how to use things all over again. Hey, am I showing my age? I like to think that I am showing my wisdom.

My heart breaks for all the police who are protectors and guardians of people and also animals. They are being punished for a few bad apples. Remember, it takes only one rotten apple to spoil your opinion of the whole basket. Please do not let the over publicized negativity affect your opinion of our Police. I am very glad to see the peaceful protests because that brings awareness to the whole country of the abuses that some officers inflict. These are examples of everyday devotion of most of our police officers. Smile at an officer the next time you see one, it will help more than you know.
