FEEL GOOD CPR

I have been trying to find something to write to you about.
My well of inspiration seems to have run dry and I know
we all have periods of dryness, in the physical world and
also in the spiritual world. I decided to just sit here and let
whatever comes out to be what I was meant to share with
you.

I know I am resisting the fall weather only because it means
that winter is not far behind. I so loved the summer, It was
a true summer was it not? I so love to be warm, wear less
clothing, walk around barefoot in my house and outside too.
I love to go in my kayak with only shorts and a top, to sit on
my deck and enjoy all the birds flittering around and chirping
to me and each other. The sun just warms my spirit and makes
me smile to just think about it. I can open my windows and
doors and let the warm air in and watch my tomatoes ripen.

Did it tell you that I did something that made me laugh at
myself? I decided this summer to have tomatoes, cukes,
and peppers in pots so I could pick my own. Well, my
cherry tomatoes were ripening nicely but they kept falling
into the pot with a little piece of the stem attached. I
assumed (you know what assumes does?) that the birds
I was feeding were landing on the tomato cages and
knocking them off or some other insect was cutting them
away from the cluster. I moved the tomato pot as far away
from the bird feeders as I could and it was still happening.
I finally looked at the plastic label that I had put in the dirt
so I could remember what was in each pot. You’ll never
guess. I was growing Sun Gold tomatoes which were orange
in color when they were ripe. I had been waiting for them to
turn red but they knew when they were ripe and fell to the
ground. It’s funny, but I had no more problems after that
discovery, I wonder why?

We have been having a cold spell, colder than normal for
this time of year so I finally turned on my heat throughout
my house after just turning it on in the bathroom for one day.
Last night I was so cold I turned on my space heater near me.
It is on wheels which I love, so I wheeled it into my office so I
could have some extra warmth here. To help me get over
this hump in the road, I am going to focus on what I like about
the colder weather.

I was able to throw a jacket over my banging around clothes
this morning to go to the dump, I did not have change. It feels
good to snuggle into the flannel sheets I use for the winter. I no
longer have to wash the hummingbird feeders as they have left
for the winter (I miss them and the orioles, though). When you
love someone, it is not a chore to care for them. The trees are
showing their individuality with their different displays of color.
I get to sleep later in the morning as the sun no wakes me up so
early. A good cup of coffee or tea seems to taste so much
better as it warms your insides. Hot cereal is a treat also. I
will be taking down the screens so will have a clearer view of
Mother Nature. Night school is offering an array of subjects
that pique my interest. These are just some of the things I
am using to make the transition easier.

I do have some information that will make you feel good
just to know about it. I know you want to help wherever
you can and in an emergency, we don’t always know
WHAT to do to help. Take a look at this site and
learn how you can help any time you run into a
situation that needs immediate attention.

Although I have been trained in CPR, I always wondered if I
would be able to do mouth to mouth resuscitation with a
stranger. NOW, any of us can help if we are faced with
this dilemma. Who knows if one of your loved ones will
need your assistance some day.

I know this made me feel better just knowing it and right
now I am looking for ways to feel more interested in
the moment I am in. Have a Happy Autumn.

THE PURPLE LABOR DAY

Labor Day always brings to mind the laborers who created this
country and the benefits that all of us have because of their
dedication and effort. Laborers today are looked down upon
as educational degrees and wealth are the achievements most
sought after. Let us not forget that in order for us to have homes,
clothing, food and sustenance that it took back breaking
physical work to provide those for us.

This is not to downplay the benefits that education has brought
to us like all the new technology and the opening of our minds
as well as the minds of our children to what the world has to offer.

The important thing to remember is the necessity for the balance
of both. This reminds me of an article I read in the doctor’s office
of a Purple United States. Of course, that title caught my eye as
anything that speaks of purple or is purple gets my attention right
away.

This article made so much sense and was put in a context that
reflected what I have believed for so many years. We are a red
and blue country with each color(political party) fighting the
other for supremacy regardless of the toil that it takes on our
nation. Decisions are not made for the good of the people but
for the good of the party. How can ANY President or Congress
effectively run this country when the ideas given are voted down
just because the opposite party proposed it.

Purple is the combination and balance of Red and Blue! Think
about it. How great could our nation be if only the best of both
colors was considered and given the dignity it deserved. The
inharmonious patterns of behavior that both are displaying are
keeping our country from being the shining example for the rest
of the world. Let us exemplify to other nations by holding the
balance of both colors and schools of thought and then we
will be ROYAL PURPLE.

Have you ever considered that the color of the Divine
Masculine is blue and the color of the Divine Feminine
is pink(light red)? Combined together they become
purple and that is why purple is considered such a
royal color. Many schools of thought and even science
are now proving that we embody both masculine and
feminine traits. True peace begins with us and when we
combine both and give credence to both, we find
ultimate joy and happiness.

This is what I wish for you this Labor Day. May you find
the purple of your heart and let it spread to all.

MESSAGES FROM THE LAKE

When I got out of bed at 6:45AM, I opened my blinds as I
do every morning to see the beautiful lake and check for
geese at the water’s edge. What a beautiful site, the water
was creating different patterns and the sun was showing that
it was out. I did my daily personal routine and proceeded to
raise the curtains in the living room that blocked the view of
the lake through a bow window.

When I did that I noticed the 4 geese eating the grass on the
beach. It was 53 degrees so I went to get my jacket and put
on my clogs so I could go chase them away. The deck was
all wet from the dew and when I went out they looked up at
me. I said: “GO” and they moved to the water’s edge but
would go no further. I knew it meant I would have to go to
the beach so they knew I meant business. The grass was
quite wet as is everything every morning when you live on
a lake.

My land is separated from the beach by a fence and there
are two gates one at either end so I and my surrounding neighbors
can get to the beach. My bow window and deck face the
beach directly so I went around to the side of the fence and
onto the beach. I said “GO” a few more times as I was
approaching them and they decided it was time to go.

There is a section of the lake that is partitioned off with
buoys that form like a wide U with the ends being tied to
metal stakes on either end of the beach. These are so the
boats do not come too close and the swimmers are protected
and it also protects the raft out there so the swimmers can
dive off and still be protected.

Well, the silly geese swam away or should I say tried to
swim away but they were kind of blocked. I was
guarding the beach and the buoys had them surrounded.
There are spaces between the buoys and in some sections
quite a bit of space but there is rope that keeps them
together. Some of the rope is visible and some is below
the water.

They swam along one side of the U then went behind the
raft and then tried the other side. I believe they were too
scared to try to go over the rope but they must have had
to do that in order to get into the space in the first place.
I watched them going from side to side and even trying to
come back to where I was but they could not find a way
to escape.

In the meantime, I am so enjoying the solitude. The water
was perfectly still so the homes across the lake were
reflected in the water and the sun was on my back.
I realized that I was actually in a meditative mode so
I went along with it. What a metaphor the geese were
for us humans trying to find our passion or life purpose.

I was out there to prevent the geese from littering up the
beach with their poop. Do we humans just devour what
is in front of us and then poop all over our own planet with
no concern for what we are doing to the environment?

When we start to realize that we need to do something,
do we let our perceived barriers prevent us from going out
further into our passion? The geese could easily go over
the ropes, I have seen them do it many times but this time
fear stopped them. They were going around in circles just
like we do when we let our fears stop us from being who
we really are.

I am at the beach talking with them, trying to guide them to
a place I know they can breach so they can get out of this
loop of fear. Finally, I said to them: “Hey, you have wings,
use them to fly over the buoys”.

All of a sudden, all four of them spread their wings and
flew over the buoys, honking as they did so. We have wings
also, what do you think our shoulder blades represent?
From my higher stance on the beach, I could see opportunities
that they could not see as they were down closer to the water.
I had a different perspective than they did, I could see what they
could not.

There are angelic beings who see a lot more than we do and
they are trying to get us to see a different perspective. They can
see openings where we can free ourselves from our self imposed
prison if we just trust that we can. Take that one step over
the rope (fear) and you will discover freedom like you never
thought possible. Why are we going round and round and
backing off every time we see a perceived barrier to our goal
of success or achieving the life purpose we came to accomplish?

A little later, a great blue heron was walking the water’s edge. As
I watched him, he walked so slowly and deliberately, so gracefully.
He would intermittenly stretch his neck to get a higher view, a
higher perspective and then he would crouch down to get
another view.

What lessons and awakenings I had this morning as I was trying
to keep the beach clean for all of us. I do not usually go out that
early in the morning and it was refreshing to have a totally different
view of the quiet lake before it got busy with all the other activities.
I didn’t realize it but I was out there a half hour. I am so blessed.

With all this peace in me I want to share something that is quite
peaceful for you to enjoy.
