WHO WAS OUR FIRST PRESIDENT & A SIMPLE CURE FOR BED BUG INFESTATION

It is a beautiful sunny day after many days of rain and
feeling the raw cold.  I had fully planned to start putting
away my chairs from my deck, the wooden sidewalk I
use so I can go barefoot, statues, and all the things I
bring out in the Spring to accentuate my yard.
I went to get the chairs to put them away and then
decided to sit in one in the sun for just a moment……it
turned into more than a moment.  I was in bliss, nice and warm
and feeling like it was Spring again.
Despite my plans, my mood was more nostalgic.  I was
a little sad to see the leaves fall and yet the beauty of the
wind tossing them around, uplifted me.  Since we had so
much rain, (and I was sitting outside in the chair) I could
hear the expensive system I had had installed this
spring to keep water out of my crawl space was working
good.  I had been wondering if it was working as our
summer had been so dry after it was installed.
My mind turned to Columbus Day and what a great nation
we have.  So many people have gone before us to prepare
the way so that we have our Independence.   Yet, all these
bashing political commercials have really been a downer.
My heart hurts when I hear humans degrading another human.
We are of the same species with the same needs and yet we
delight when another one of us “falls”.
This week, news broke that the U.S. Chamber of Commerce,
one of the biggest sources of corporate cash backing
Republicans this year–has been using money from foreign
corporations in India, Bahrain, and elsewhere to fund its attack
ads, in apparent violation of the law.
The Chamber claims that it has internal systems to keep the money
separate, but the new report shows that the foreign corporations
donate directly to the Chamber’s general fund, which is where the
funding for their political attacks comes from. This would represent
a shocking disregard for longstanding American campaign finance laws,
all to advance a corporate, right-wing agenda of outsourcing jobs
and giving huge tax breaks to multi-national corporations.
The Chamber is spending more than any other group to back                                                      right-wing Republicans  and attack progressives in the election.

This saddens me so.  Our country is supposed to be run for the people and by the people of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.  Where are we????  Why can’t the politicians just state what they intend to do for this country and let us, the people, decide what and                             who we want.  I, for one, do not intend to vote for ANYONE who                                             subscribes to bashing their opponent regardless of what office                                                     they are running for.
I think this article is such an eye opener that it will give us a                                                         reality check and also instill pride back into our citizenship of                                                       this great country.
Who was our first President?I’m sure that George Washington was your best guess.

After all, no one else comes to mind. But think back to your history books – The United States

Declared its independence in 1776, yet Washington did not
take Office until April 30, 1789. So who was running the
country during these initial years of this young country?
It was the first eight U. S.. Presidents.  In fact, the
first President of the United States was one John Hanson.
I can hear you now – John who? John Hanson, the first
President of the United States. Don’t go checking the
encyclopedia for this guy’s name – he is
one of those great men that are lost to history.
If you’re extremely lucky, you may actually find a
brief mention of his name. The new country was actually formed on March 1, 1781

with the adoption of The Articles of Confederation.
This document was actually proposed on June 11, 1776,
but not agreed upon by Congress until November 15, 1777.Maryland refused to sign this document until Virginia

and New York ceded their western lands (Maryland
was afraid that these states would gain too much
power in the new government from such large
amounts of land).Once the signing took place in 1781, a President was

needed to run the country.  John Hanson was chosen
unanimously by Congress (which included George
Washington).  In fact, all the other potential candidates
refused to run against him, as he was a major player
in the revolution and an extremely influential member
of Congress. As the first President, Hanson had quite the shoes

to fill. No one had ever been President and the role
was poorly defined.  His actions in office would set
precedent for all future Presidents.  He took office
just as the Revolutionary War ended.  Almost
immediately, the troops demanded to be paid.
As would be expected after any long war, there
were no funds to meet the salaries.  As a result,
the soldiers threatened to overthrow the new
government and put Washington on the throne
as a monarch. All the members of Congress ran for their lives,

leaving Hanson as the only guy left running the
government.  He somehow managed to calm the
troops down and hold the country together.
If he had failed, the government would have
fallen almost immediately and everyone would have
been bowing to King Washington.
Hanson, as President, ordered all foreign troops

off American soil, as well as the removal of all
foreign flags This was quite the feat, considering
the fact that so many European countries had a
stake in the United States since the days
following Columbus.Hanson established the Great Seal of the

United States, which all Presidents have since
been required to use on all official documents.President Hanson also established the first

Treasury Department, the first Secretary of
War, and the first Foreign Affairs Department.Lastly, he declared that the fourth Thursday

of every November was to be Thanksgiving Day,
which is still true today. The Articles of Confederation only allowed a

President to serve a one year term during any
three year period, so Hanson actually accomplished
quite a bit in such little time.
Seven other presidents were elected after him:
1. Elias Boudinot (1782-83),

2. Thomas Mifflin (1783-84),

3. Richard Henry Lee (1784-85),

4. John Hancock (1785-86),

5. Nathan Gorman (1786-87),

6. Arthur St. Clair (1787-88), and

7. Cyrus Griffin (1788-89), ….all prior to

Washington taking office. So what happened?  Why don’t we hear about

the first eight presidents? It’s quite simple – The Articles of Confederation

didn’t work well.  The individual states had too much
power and nothing could be agreed upon.
A new doctrine needed to be written –
something we know as the Constitution.
And that leads us to the end of our story.George Washington was definitely not the

first President of the United States.  He was
the first President of the United States under the
Constitution we follow today.
And the first eight Presidents are forgotten in history.

YOU HAVE TO BE A LOVER OF HISTORY TO

APPRECIATE THIS!!It took EIGHT years for us to establish a successful

government.  You might just remember this when you
hear that so little progress has been made establishing
a Government in Iraq. There you are – another lesson in U.S. History,

and you may have learned something new today.
On a lighter note, this is simple TO DO.

Subject:
Bed Bug Epidemic – true
Hi All: A bit of information that you might like to know about.
We have friends here in our community and one of their sons is an
entomologist (insect expert), and has been telling them that there is
an epidemic of bed bugs now occurring in America. Recently I have
heard on the news that several stores in NYC have had to close due

to bed bug problems, as well as a complete mall in New Jersey. He says that since much of our clothing, sheets, towels, etc. now comes
from companies outside of America, (sad but true), even the most
expensive stores sell foreign clothing from China, Indonesia, etc.
The bed bugs are coming in on the clothing as these countries do not
consider them a problem.

He recommends that if you buy any new clothing, even underwear and
socks, sheets, towels, etc. that you bring  them into the house and put
them in your clothes dryer for at least 20 minutes. The heat will kill
them and their eggs.
DO NOT PURCHASE CLOTHES AND HANG THEM IN THE CLOSET FIRST.
It does not matter what the price range is of the clothing, or if the outfit
comes from the most expensive store known in the U.S. They still get
shipments from these countries and the bugs can come in a box of
scarves or anything else for that matter. That is the reason why so
many stores, many of them clothing stores have had to shut down
in NYC and other places.

All you need is to bring one item into the house that has bugs or eggs and
you will go to hell and back trying to get rid of them. He travels
all over the country as an advisor to many of these stores, as prevention
and after they have the problem.
Send this information on to those on your e-mail list so that this good
prevention information gets around quickly.

HAVE A HAPPY, FREE AND WONDERFUL COLUMBUS DAY!

PRECIOUS THINGS IN LIFE/IN GOD WE TRUST

The Natural Living Expo was a huge success. It’s attendance
well surpassed last year and many new ideas were presented.
I was so pleased to see so many of you again, it warms my
heart. If you were not able to speak to me, I still felt your
energy and am grateful for you. I know I was so busy
giving the Divine Mother’s Loving Advice that even my
voice was giving out on Sunday so I know that I missed
saying Hi to you and giving you a big hug. At the end, I
felt like I wanted to see and talk to so many more
of you.

My lecture went well. They gave me a larger room this year
and I had over 100 people who came, some were standing
in the back. My talk was recorded this year and I am in the
process of getting copies so if any of you are interested,
just contact me. I want to acknowledge everyone who took
the time to tell me how much they enjoyed it and especially
the men who came up at the talk or at my booth.

Ladies, I so appreciate all of your feedback and your
responses and you also know that men rarely let their
feelings be known. I would like to thank the men who
had the courage to acknowledge that they were touched,
it meant a great deal to me that you felt free to have
your opinions expressed.

I had the privilege this past week of going to see John of
God at Omega Institute in Rhinebeck, New York. He is
a human being who has agreed to allow his body to be used
by God to heal people by incorporating doctors from the
other dimensions who come through him to perform many
miracles. He does not call himself John of God (others do)
and he always mentions that “he” does not heal, that he
simply allows God and the other Spiritual Beings to use
his human body so that the energy can be passed to others.

He comes to the United States once a year from Brazil
where he resides. I went to see him in Brazil 6 years ago
when I was told by my doctor that I needed a knee
replacement that would only last 15 years and with my
bones, most likely would not be able to be replaced again.

I did not want to be in a wheel chair at 80 years old and
I was guided to John of God. God and the energetic
healers can only “heal” us as much as we allow them to.
No one and I mean no one( including God) can go pass
the gift of Free Will that we were given at birth. We have to
give permission or nothing can or will be done. Our doubts
in so called miracles are what prevents us from accepting
the fact that they are real.

I saw many such miracles while there in Brazil with my own
eyes and yet I still remained a skeptic. I was only able to
surrender a part of myself, consequently I received only
a “part” healing. Most of the pain was gone and I was
able to walk further than I could before which was only
a short way. I could hardly walk to get into work where
I was on light duty so I sat all day.

I am grateful that I had those six years but now the severe
pain is returning and I do have an appointment with an
orthopedic doctor next week but I still wanted to try
to fully surrender again to the healing energies, to God,
that I know he carries. I got up at 3AM and traveled two
and half hours to get there but I was in good shape.
When I came in front of him, he closed his eyes and
held my hand and sent me to sit in “his” current room where
all the spiritual healers and psychic healers were sitting.

I received a SPIRITUAL CLEANSE which was such
strong vibrational energy that it almost knocked me
unconscious. Even after the morning session, I had
trouble focusing as the energy kept pulsing through me.
My knee still hurts but the process of healing can take
one second to 6 months. John of God always says
that it is the cause that is healed not the symptom. Truer
words have not been spoken as our bodies display the
symptoms that are created by what caused it. Which is
stress in all forms, fear, anger, bitterness, etc. which our
bodies will tuck away for us in some part of our body
and hold it until we are ready to face it and heal.

I wanted to share this with you just to remind you that it
is up to you, it is your choice of when and what you
heal. It was a good reminder for me. God gave you
that power and that choice.

See how great we are at creating, now let us be just
as creative in releasing the pain, both physical and
mental. Remember, God gave you Free Will to do
whatever you choose and neither He nor His angels can
take back that beautiful gift.

Mother Nature finally got thirsty enough and send us
rain in the form of a deluge. I woke up Friday to
rain pouring in under my doors, yes, I said doors.
The one facing the lake was worse as the wind was
driving the rain through the screen and under my door,
soaking my throw carpeting. I could not keep up with
the amount that was coming in so I asked the angels and
Mother Nature if they could just slow it down enough so
I could remove the screen and put up the glass that would
convert it to a storm door, thus blocking the rain coming in.

My doors have full screens which mean full glass panels. I
have someone else change them for me because they are so
heavy but I was alone and there was no time for me to call
anyone to come help. All of my towels were in use and my
dryer could not dry them quick enough even though I had
wrung them as much as I could. What could I do?

My prayers were answered and although it kept raining,
the strong force had abated enough for me to take down
the screens with just rain coming in, not a deluge. I have
some slippers with a hard top, so I placed the glass
door on top of my slipper and kept sliding my foot while
balancing the heavy glass so it would not topple
until I had reached the opening in the door. I had my
trusty pliers, the kind that grip real well, so I could undo
the nuts??? to loosen the screen. After I got the glass
part in place, the rain stopped washing my floor and I
got the chance to mop up after all.

So….for the rest of the day, I could rest and not be
concerned about the water coming in. The wind was
so strong that it knocked a ball ornament over, and even
toppled my tomato plant over so it exposed the roots.
I did not get to do my exercises as this all happened
before I could do them and even before breakfast. I am
grateful that I got to do my meditation and prayers before
that challenge and I am sure that is why my spiritual
intervention came so quickly. I had had enough exercise
so felt that I could give my body the rest it had earned.

Mother Nature is so invigorating and always changing.
I never get bored watching what nature has to offer and
was very happy that I was not an animal that needed to
seek shaky shelter or a bird that could not hide too well
from the force of the storm. Afterward, the birds coming
to my feeders were drenched while I was nice and warm
and dry in a now waterproof home.

I am also so grateful that the water was outside of my home
rather than being the floods that we have been watching
that are happening in other cities and other parts of the
world. I am so so so grateful for the most precious things
in my life. Love, health and safety are some top priorities.

I tried to get my newsletter out on time but guess what?????
My computer was working as I had electricity but so
many poles and connections were down that I could
not get or send any messages. All is in Divine Timing
and now I get to spend a lovely Sunday morning
talking to all of you after I had a delicious bagel and
cream cheese that I only allow myself to have each
Sunday morning.

This is by a daughter of a murdered couple in Raytown , MO ,
who had a Bible and Bookstore on 63rd street ..

When I had to testify at the murder trial of my parents a week ago, I was asked to raise my right hand… The bailiff started out “Do you swear to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth?”

I stood there and waited but she said nothing. She said “Do you?”

I was so stunned I blurted out “What happened to “so help me God’?”

She came back with “Do you?” I replied yes, but I was perplexed.

Then the judge said . “You can say that if you want to.”

I stopped, raised my right hand, and finished with “So help me God!”

I told my son and daughter that when it came time for them to testify, they should do the same.

I don’t know what can be done about it, but it’s time for us to step up and DO something.

NBC this morning had a poll on this question.. They had the highest number of responses that they have ever had for one of their polls, and the percentage was the same as this:

86% to keep the words, 14% against.. That is a pretty ‘commanding’ public response.

I was asked to send this on if I agreed or delete if I didn’t.

Now it is your turn.. It is said that 86% of Americans believe in God.

Therefore, I have a very hard time understanding why there is such a mess about having
“In God We Trust” on our money and having God in the Pledge of Allegiance.

Why is the world catering to this 14%?

If you agree, pass this on, if not, simply delete….

In God We Trust

I hope this inspires you and helps you feel loved and safe.

NATURAL LIVING EXPO AND ME

I am writing this newsletter a little early because I have a
BIG weekend coming up. I will be a speaker and have a
booth at the Natural Living Expo on Sept 25 &26, 2010.

I am busily preparing for this event, yet the lake drew me
out in my kayak. The lake has been so still all day, hardly
a breeze to ripple the beautiful mirroring effect of all the
trees in their glorious colors as background for all the
homes on the other side of the lake which were reflected
on the water. It is so unusual to be kayaking on a mirror
and quite a different experience so I seized the moment
and went out.

With hardly any wind, it is so much easier kayaking with no
resistance that I was hoping to go around the whole lake
which has been rare for me this year as my shoulder is
still recovering from my fall earlier in the year. My
favorite places to go to is the two coves at one end of
the lake. When I got to the first one, the geese were
there so I honored my commitment to them that if they
stayed off my beach I would not disturb them if I saw
them as I kayaked. So….on I went to the next cove and
that one also had quite a few geese so I moved on. There
are more of them as they are gathering to practice their
flight patterns for their annual migration.

I did get to go around the whole lake which is such a treat.
Many of the boats have already been pulled in and housed
for the winter and some of the homes are closed for the
season. More and more cabins are being converted to
year round homes so there are less closed homes. This
is a bittersweet time for me as I actually have the lake to
myself so the peace and quiet is unbelievable . Even the
birds are not chirping and I did not cross the path
of the beaver that likes to slap his tail at me.

A moment in time to remember for the future when the
lake is frozen and although others like ice fishermen and
ice skaters and snow mobilers are active, I do not go
out on the lake. I feel such love and appreciation for
Mother Nature as she transforms once again.

If you are coming to the Expo, I am in
Booth #10 and I will be giving my talk and workshop
on Love Is Enlightment at noon on Saturday in the Executive
Suite. I will also be offering Loving Advice from the Mother
(who is the Divine Feminine, Mother Mary) at my booth.
I would love to give you a hug if you are able to
make it, please stop by and say HI.
