GOAL NECESSITIES – HOPE AND STAMINA

Time really got away from me this past week, has that ever
happened to you? I’ll bet it has, it happens to all of us. I
apologize for being late with this newsletter.

Celebrations are all around us, there are many graduations
and parties to attend. My daughter-in-law was pinned with
her nursing degree of being a Registered Nurse one night and
graduated with her Associates Degree the next day. All this and
being a new mom with a year old daughter and now her husband,
my son, with a yet to be diagnosed illness. Who says females are
the weaker sex, I beg to differ with that statement. She was also
working part time. Whew!!!

My youngest son just got his college grades and he Aced them all.
He worked hard and now he is getting the results. It is more difficult
to go to college in your forties, you have been out of school for so
long that it takes a lot of sweat and stamina to get in the swing. Here
is a boy who quit high school and then decided years later to get his
GED and now he is in college. Never give up hope, one day you will
achieve your goals and perhaps in ways you never expected.

I was 52 years old when I got my Bachelor’s degree. I had set my
goal for a college diploma when I graduated from high school. I was
attending night school when I met my husband, got married at 17 and
had a child at 18. I had three children by the time I was 25 but I never
gave up trying to get my degree. I attended all the local colleges at one
time or another and piecemeal kept gathering credits until I finally
achieved my goal.

Life does take stamina and perseverance. I wonder how long it took
for the girls in this video to achieve the feats they perform. Check it
out.

This is a video of an act from 1944 – a sister act called the Ross Sisters.

I had never heard of them. The song they sing is about 45 seconds long (nothing special) but what they do next is…!

Can you imagine these girls on Australia ‘s Got , America Got Talent and/or England Got Talent?

I don’t think I have ever seen a human being do some of the stunts they did!

Hope you enjoy it!

(Watch past the first 60 seconds or so, then Whoa! Look Out!)

HAIR RAISING GOOD NEWS

This newsletter was going to be late in going out because I had
plans with my youngest son to have brunch. On Mother’s Day,
he was unable to make it to my home because he had gotten up
late and did not have time before he needed to leave for work.

In fact, both my sons and their families where scheduled to come
to see me for breakfast on Mother’s Day. It was an unusual day
as my oldest son had been admitted to the hospital on Thursday
and was still there on Mother’s Day. So…..I visited him in the
hospital and my Mother’s Day gift was knowing that he was in
the best place for him at that time. The medical staff could not
find the cause of him suddenly getting light headed and falling
down which had happened several times the week before.

Anyway, today was supposed to be my Mother’s Day brunch
but it had fallen through. I was disappointed at not seeing
my son and as I sat at this computer, my mood was not conducive
to writing an uplifting newsletter.

I did not know what I could write about that would not sound
like whining until I opened an email entitled “Good News” which
I subscribe to at http://www.goodnewsnetwork.org. There
always seems to be a plethora of news that is sad or at the
least upsetting so once a week I subscribe to this email with
news that is uplifting.

Have you ever felt helpless in helping other people? I know I have.
When I hear about a disaster, I try to think of some way that I may
help but usually nothing comes to mind except to send a donation
and of course, prayers.

This story blew my mind with its simplicity and the willingness
of a person to follow her intuition. Now, she has inspired
many more people and organizations to step up and it is
something that everyone has and it is so valuable. Who
would have thought?

Click here to get the story and be prepared to be surprised.

PS. My oldest son is home and feeling much better but there
is still no diagnosis.

THE MOTHER’S BLOOD OF LIFE

HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!

This is a very special day, one that every woman can rejoice in.
Whether you have physically had a child or not, you have an organ
that makes you unique. EVERY human on this planet has come
through his/her mother’s womb. You are the future of the human
race, without you the human race would cease to exist. You carry
your child’s first home, an organ that was designed to protect and
nurture your baby until it is ready to debut into the world and
join the human race. Your womb knew your baby before you did.

When the medical profession told me I needed a hysterectomy, I
refused to have the procedure unless they returned my womb to
me so I could honor it. Since I was a little girl, I knew that my
mission in this world was to be a mother. I never even considered
if it would be physically possible, I just KNEW.

My request did send a ripple through the medical community but
my gynecologist was female and once I had convinced her, she
went to bat for me. Except for the male pathologist who just could
not understand why I wanted my uterus back. He even called me
and tried for a half hour to convince me otherwise and to try to
understand why I was so adamant.

I told him: “This little organ allowed me to fulfill my life’s mission.
It protected my children (I had three) when I could not consciously do
so. I cannot let you treat it like a piece of shoe leather, I won’t allow it.”

I prepared for the ceremony even though I had not told my children
what I was planning. This would be in the cold weather so I dug
a hole in front of my statue of Mother Mary and saved the dirt for
later. I found a big rock and put it over the hole for the moment.
I used my mom’s cotton lace handkerchief for a shroud as I knew
both it and my uterus would go back to Mother Earth where they
had originally come from anyway.

On Thanksgiving Day I asked my three children to be at my home
at the same time. It was not until my children gathered around me
that the enormity of what I had done actually hit me. I started to
cry and asked them if they would help bury the first home they ever
knew. We had a little ceremony outside with each of them being
a part of it.

It was shortly after this that Mother Mary, the Divine Feminine,
asked me to write a book about my life as she said many
people would be inspired by how I have handled my
unique life experiences. She gave me the title: The Wounded
Chalice and told me she would guide me to a chalice whose
picture would be on the front of my book.

At that time, I had no idea what the title meant and just
how was I supposed to find a chalice? I ended up pawning
(my first experience with a pawn shop) three diamond earrings
in order to purchase it. I had recently lost my mortgage free
home to foreclosure, all the money I had saved and the IRS
placed a Federal Tax Lien on me due to some shenagigans
from my now ex-husband.

The chalice I was guided to get was broken in two and I
was not sure how to get it repaired but when Spirit asks you
to do something, the way will be shown to you one step at
a time. All I needed to do was trust.

I now know the meaning of the title,The Wounded Chalice.
The Chalice was wounded just like my womb had been
wounded, hence the similarity. Both the Chalice and the
womb hold the Blood of Life and Mother told me that
EVERY woman has a Chalice in her body.

Women, honor that Chalice in your body and honor
yourself for being the bearer of the Blood of Life.
There is no greater honor nor any greater LOVE
than that of the Mother.

Men, every one of you have come through your
mother’s Chalice to this earth. Honor the females
in your life and honor yourself for the protection
and safety that you afford them. Notice that it
was a male that saved this little creature so his
mother could care for him.

I was drawn to the valor of this particular mother
whose very nature keeps her airborn. There is too
much danger on the ground for her but to care for
her child, she risked her own safety. What a
symbol for motherhood.

PS. I also have never heard a hummingbird peep,
have you?

“This is actually a pretty amazing story about a baby hummingbird that was found on a sidewalk. He couldn’t fly, so I took him under my wing. At night, he would come home to our house for safety. During the day, he was in the backyard of the house near where I found him. About 4 days after I found him, I was holding him in my cupped hands when his mama came by to feed him. She had seen me around, I guess, because she just flew over, perched on my hand and then fed him. This happened a number of times, so I called a friend who is good with a video camera, and he came over to film some of the amazing goings on that I told him about.”

There’s a lot more to this story, but that’s enough info to give you some context for the video we posted to YouTube. Here’s the link:
