I AM GRATEFUL FOR YOU

Beloved,

HAPPY THANKSGIVING HAPPY HANUKKAH

http://www.websitecreationworkshop.com/blog/holidays/thanksgiving-2013-video/

This gave me a prelude to all the things I am grateful for. People loving people is what it is all about. Even if you are alone for this holiday, give yourself the love you wish to have. You are that special.

A Concert for One Very Special Young Girl.

This is about the Mormon Tabernacle Choir on tour in Memphis, Tennessee, in 2007, when at St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. There, a little girl had been admitted with an aggressive form of brain cancer and had her first chemo treatment, which made it so she shouldn’t be in crowds and couldn’t attend the Mormon Choir’s concert the night before. Somehow her family sent a request asking that some of the choir members, maybe, could meet the young girl at a hotel lobby.

See what happened when the little family, so distraught with their daughter’s cancer, walked into the lobby!

Enjoy this day whatever you are experiencing. Most of us are experiencing both….noise and quiet. I have gratitude for both for without one, the other would not exist. After all, we are the Planet of Duality which exists so we can know both perspectives.

PRE-THANKSGIVING GRATITUDE

Beloved,

What a beaaaaaautiful Expo last weekend. I was so thrilled to see so many of you and I am sorry I missed some of you because I was busy when you stopped by. Welcome to the new recipients of my weekly newsletter, it is an honor to serve you. I feel we are a family who continues to expand and welcomes others into our “fold”.

This also has been a week of variety with the weather. We have had freezing temperatures as well as spring type days. I had already done a complete romp around the whole lake a few days ago and it was eerily quiet. All the boats have been brought in and also the docks, even the last straggling raft has made its way to dry land. It was clear sailing with no obstacles, even the thin layer of ice has gone away. Yet they predict real winter temperatures on Sunday so we won’t forget what winter is really like. Yesterday, it was 45 degrees with just a slight breeze so I thought I would treat myself to a jaunt around the lake in my kayak. I could not make it all the way around the lake. Although I was wearing gloves, my fingers felt frozen and although I had a hat, it did not cover my ears, so they were frozen too. The breeze was soft but cold so it felt much colder than usual. I allowed myself to turn around and go around the coves which did not have as much wind and then I came back. I don’t give up until the lake is frozen so that I can’t maneuver. I know it is coming yet I treasure it even more now as I know the time is limited.

Thanksgiving is already just next week, are you ready? I try to make every day a day of Thanksgiving as gratitude brings so much joy. Today my older son, Steve. took his son Michael and I to my favorite restaurant where we are treated just like family. In fact, the owner sits down with us and chats just like we are. We were celebrating a belated birthday for Michael. She even hugs my son as well as myself and the food is delicious as always. They are Italian and use only fresh blocks of Mozzarella cheese for all foods requiring it, including the house burger which is messy but soooo good. We even started out with fried mozzarella as an oer d’oeuvre. AJ the chef has Celiac like me so he cooks my fish and chips in olive oil in a separate pan. Yummmm. the potatoes are not frozen, they are cut fresh every day and he uses a special batter that is gluten free for the fish. Today feels like we had a thanksgiving feast for which I am so grateful. Can you tell I am still experiencing it. The best part is I get to reminisce about it and then I have left overs so the flavor of the feast lasts a long time, just like Thanksgiving leftovers. The restaurant is Diane’s Villa Nova in Holland, Ma.

I feel like this little one, who is trying something new but she is all wrapped up and top heavy. My tummy is so full that I can relate to what she is happening to her. Smile, it is so cute.

I would have preferred to wait until after Thanksgiving to send this to you but the stores are now pushing Christmas before Thanksgiving by advancing Black Friday before Thursday. The tune is very catchy and the words are so right on. It is just a reminder of what Christmas really means and what we can do to stop the ones who are being forced or who wish to take away the real meaning of this beloved holiday.

I received this in an email from a friend who’s son-in-law was the driver of the vehicle. I watched it in slow motion with such awe that a human could survive. I know we are protected and I know the angels are hard at work to keep us from our own folly but to actually see this happening, I am awestruck. I will never feel afraid again after viewing this.

I am still so full of love after meeting with such beautiful soulful people that I have not completely come down from the experience. I wish to share it with you so you can carry it along with you on Thanksgiving Day to your beloveds and bring gratitude for everyone and everything in your life. Gratitude for being alive and gratitude for your beloveds no matter where they are. Be careful, smile, as you just might do what that little child did after you partake in the camaraderie and food of the holiday.

PLAYING WITH NATURE

Beloved,

When I opened my curtains this morning over my bow windows, I saw these white things bobbing in the water. What are those, I thought? It turns out, they were the Canadian Geese upside down in the water. They were bobbing for something, no doubt food but when they turn upside down, all you can see is their white underbellies and their pointy tail is at the top. It was quite fun to watch them for a few minutes. I have never noticed them doing that before. After a bit, they suddenly, all at the same time, took off flying in a straight horizontal line to get to the other side of the lake.

Have you ever wondered how animals, there were 18 of them. all at the same time, decide to do something? It is quite eerie or it is probably telepathy where they all agree at once to fly. Don’t you wish you could do something like that with someone? Your kids can, if you watch them, they actually do. They are tuned in. It’s about time that we adults play with telepathy because we have it too, but we’re too busy to play. I bet you have suddenly thought about someone and you either received a phone call or you got something in the mail. If you pay attention, you will realize that you have that gift also but you just don’t think to use it. When no one can lie, what a world this will be. We will all be telling the truth so the mind will get to rest a lot more. And…..you will be able to trust each and every person.

I have not been kayaking in several weeks because the weather just has not permitted it. There has been a lot of wind, or rain or the temperature is quite cold. This morning, I looked out about 10am and the temperature was 50 degrees and hardly any wind. A perfect day for kayaking and at this time of year, you never know if it is the last opportunity to go out before it freezes over. I had planned on writing this newsletter this morning but I just could not resist going out on the water. I hope you don’t mind but that is why this newsletter is late.

All the boats are now on land and all the docks that can be brought up on land have been. The lake water is quite a bit lower as it has a dam and the boards have been lowered before it freezes. All the land fronts and beaches look so different and more rocks are showing. There is still a raft that the neighbors kids use that is still out there, I don’t know if they will bring it in or not. There is still a small fishing boat for two that is still hitched to the dock but that is it. I guess that boat owner is a die hard like me. I have not prepared my kayak for winter yet as I wait until I am sure that the water has frozen for the winter.

This morning I did something I have never done before. There are two coves that I like to go into but when I got to the first, there was a thin coat of ice on it so I proceeded to the next one. That one also had a coat of ice but I decided that it looked thin so I would try. My kayak broke through the ice but my paddles would not, they were not heavy enough. I am glad I went in at a angle because the paddles are necessary to move and to also change direction so I was kind of helpless without water around me. It was fun though as I like to try something new every now and then, it keeps me feeling like a child and thinking young. When do you ever try something you have never done before? Try it, you will like it.

When I got back, it was just about time to go to Marlborough to set up for the 2013 Natural Living Expo. It takes about 2-3 hours to just set up and with the traveling time, I got back in time for supper. I hope you are going to be able to check out this Expo. I took a quick tour and there are interesting things to see and experience as well as get a hug from me.

I received this message and was pleased to see how it makes so much sense out of what has been happening lately. Check it out…

This is a sight that many will not see. Isn’t technology great? We can now share so much with our human family. Enjoy1
