EASTER CELEBRATIONS

Beloved,

Easter is my favorite holyday or holiday.  It is such a symbol of renewal and rebirth.  Even the ground knows it is time to reinvigorate all the seeds that are planted just waiting for the right time to emerge and show themselves and the gifts they come to give.  Our plant kingdom gives so much to humanity that it is impossible to list all the attributes that we are privileged to partake in. I love the Easter Mass as we all receive a candle to hold while the lights are extinguished.  What a physical and emotional feeling that is to be in complete darkness with the church full of people who have come to share this experience with you. Then….the huge candle is lit and then the light is passed on to all candles one at a time until the entire church has a glow of candlelight which gives an entirely different aura than it has all the rest of the year. I wish this particular moment in time would last a lot longer but soon the electrical lights need to be put on so we can continue in the celebration.

Perhaps you do not know that the Gift of Tongues given to humanity on Pentecost is the same as Light Language used in spiritual circles.  All faiths or religions give it a different name but it is all the same.  It is language that our human ears do not understand but our heart does understand. I wish that all humans would recognize the similarity in all symbols and manners of expression used to express our devotion and have acceptance for each other in the way we choose to express it.

Here is a person using light language (each person does it differently also), see if you can “feel” the message.  After all, even babies have their own language and we love them, right?

This message really gave me a new way of looking at the Morning:

Today, I want to share a morning prayer that is meant to cut through our human tendency to fall into patterns and begin taking things for granted. It’s a morning prayer of reverence that was brought to us by Taoist philosopher, Deng Ming-Dao – and it is a powerful way to start your day.

I hope the wise words below resonate with you as they did for me.

All we need is the morning. As long as there is sunrise, then there is the possibility that we can face all of our misfortunes, celebrate all our blessings, and live all our endeavors as human beings.

Spirituality is something that has become necessary in these troubled times. Yet it is inherently superfluous. We need it to remind ourselves, to bolster ourselves, to integrate ourselves, to fulfill ourselves.

If we could simply acknowledge the mystery of night and the glory of morning, we would need neither civilization nor spirituality.

At its simplest, life begins with dawn. That is blessing enough. All else becomes fullness immeasurable.

At dawn, kneel down and give thanks for this wonderful event. We may think mornings are so common they are unworthy of veneration, but do you realize most places in the cosmos do not have mornings? This daily event is our supreme goodness.

Greet the dawn.

That is your miracle to witness. That is the ultimate beauty. That is sacredness. That is your gift from heaven. That is your omen of prophesy. That is knowledge that life is not futile. That is enlightenment. That is your meaning in life. That is your directive. That is your comfort. That is the solemnity of duty. That is inspiration for compassion.

That is the light of the ultimate.

Here is someone sharing another way to look at the moon.  I thought this was so appropriate and we are having a full moon this weekend.  Notice how everyone was saying: “Oh, my God!”.  How often do you say this phrase?  It is used when we see in wonder at either a good sight or a sight we would rather not see.  Even atheists use this phrase but do you ever notice it being used? We are all more alike than different. Enjoy watching surprise and awe.

Being Easter weekend, you might be seeing many more children.  I am in awe of the way this man is teaching his students about computers.  What would your younger people think if they had to learn the computers this way?  To these students, this is normal.  Even the teacher considered it normal but would you like to use his computer?  This would be a good picture to show our children so they would really appreciate what they have. Our children cannot know what they don’t know and they don’t know enough about what other nations have to really appreciate what they have.

I just had to include an animal video, after all it is Easter.  Smile and share it to others.

Have very Happy and Blessed Easter
