LOVE YOUR UNIQUENESS – LIFE AS AN ILLUSION/STAGE

We have had a wonderful winter although the ice fishermen
might disagree. The weather temperature has been unable
to stay low enough long enough to freeze the lake. It has
gotten a coating of thin ice perhaps 7 times but then the
temp goes back up and it melts in the middle. There
has not been one ice fisherman on Lake George this
winter although I have seen a couple on other lakes.
It is a dangerous winter for snowmobilers as several
have lost their lives due to going out before the ice is
thick enough to support them safely.

We have had a lot of rain though so there should be no
drought come summer. The moisture is coming in the
from of rain instead of snow. I am grateful because I do
not have to shovel rain and it is easier to drive in. This
morning is kind of grey and I am finding it difficult to
concentrate on “light” thoughts. It has been a week of
having dreams that shake me up as they have been about
my daughter and my two grandkids who are now out on
their own.

It is tough getting old enough to be independent and then
losing the security you had as a child when all was taken
care of for you. Of course, when you were a child, you
did not realize it and just could not wait to grow up and
be able to do what you want to do without any parents
telling you yea or nay. At first, it is great and the freedom
you feel is so euphoric until reality settles in. For instance,
if you don’t buy toilet paper there will be none there for you.
There is no more milk in fridge and no more toothpaste.
Little things but they feel so big when you have to remember
ALL those little things that make daily living easier.

My granddaughter decided this Christmas that she would not
celebrate Christmas, too much hassle and too much family
hovering over you and not feeling independent enough.
Her brother was so sick that he could not make it either.
Although I do not buy gifts for my grandkids after age 18, I
still make stockings for everyone including my quite adult
children. Before the age of 18, they get a tree ornament that
focuses on some aspect that was important to them the prior
year. This way when they do go out on their own, they will
never feel alone because they will have all the memories of their
childhood. They never know just what will be in the stockings
although they just love the car wash certificates and the
calendar that does double duty as a chance to win money
all year and something to keep their dates straight.

My grandson got his car wash certificate (rite of passage)
last Christmas as he had just gotten a car but his sister
did not have a car so her rite of passage is still in the
stocking that she has not picked up yet. I wrap each little
gift separately so they have a lot to open but are usually
small things that they never knew existed or they would not
purchase for themselves. I suppose it is no surprise to you
that I still have two stockings left over and they have still
not been to visit to get them.

When children get to that certain “adult” age, you see them
when they need something but other than that, they are so
busy living life, that they don’t realize that time passes so
quickly especially if you are the age of a retired grandparent.
I was a grandmother the first time when I was 39 so I didn’t
notice her absence as much because I was busy working and
“trying” to get everything done. This is another reminder to me
to savor “each” moment because that is all we have. We don’t
have the past anymore and the future is not here yet, so just be
aware and enjoy what is happening right now.

OI hope I am not being too morose for you. I guess when you
get to a certain age, you realize that although you should have
plenty of time left to do certain things, you have a keener
awareness of the passing of time and what you would like
to leave for a legacy. And you certainly don’t want your
loved ones to feel any guilt over events that happened. I, for
one, would like my legacy to be that I loved each and every
one of them so very much and took pride in their independence
and what their legacy will be to leave the future generation.

This world is in an ongoing state of illusion with each of us having
our own illusion of what should be and what actually is. Have you
ever considered that your entire life is lived on a stage with people
coming and going and the props changing every now and then? So
what is actually reality and whose is it? Know that your world is
the one you create right around you and that you play many roles
either as the star on your own stage or in a supporting role on
someone else’s stage.

NEW YEAR RESOLUTIONS-NEED HELP? – MEDITATION AND PRAYER

Have you made your 2012 New Year’s resolutions? I have
been playing with it all week and using Jennifer McLean’s
method has really helped me hone in on what I would like
to create and how to put it into words that get results.

Here is her method and I have not done the second part
yet but intend to begin that part tonightwhich is something
you can do right at the ringing in of the New Year. I have
never done this before but she inspired me to try it this year.
2012 will be a most powerful year with all the hoopla and
predictions about 2012 and I want to put my two cents in.
I know I create my reality so especially this year, I want to
definitely participate and not just let things happen. Will you
join me in creating a new world for yourself, for this Planet
and all of humanity?

Setting Your Intentions for 2012:

Each year I suggest this process and have found it a miraculous
exercise for my own life. You start by asking yourself four questions…

1. What do I want this year in my personal life
2. What do I want this year for my financial life
3. What do I want this year for my business life
4. What do I want this year for my spiritual life

Then you write your answers. I feel into my body to identify
in my heart what I am being drawn to create for the year.
The MOST IMPORTANT part is to write it as if it has
already happened. As an example / template, here is an
excerpt of what I wrote for the category of personal for 2011:

“The deep flow I felt this year allowed new business
ventures to come to me that expanded my financial
wellbeing to a great degree, enabling new homes,
adventures and sharing. This new energy flow also
expanded my ability to take time for myself despite
a hectic big life. I was able to hold the tension of
“doing” with “being” that aligned me in new areas
of physical health, strength and endurance. As a r
esult a more feminine version of me showed up this
year, one that can putter and move at a pace that is
both safe and sane for myself and everyone associated
with me. Life has become wondrous, lovely, graceful
and open and I am so grateful to this year 2011…
THANK YOU”

You get the idea… write it as if it has already happened
AND makes sure you include how you “felt” when it
happened. Do this for each of the categories (there may
be some overlap but the categories are designed to allow
for specifics in those four areas of your life).

This is a POWERFUL exercise that almost acts as plan
for the year but flows through and creates a vibrational
resonance with what you are desiring. As I read back
what I shared from my personal category tears filled my
eyes… for this is exactly what I created this past year of
2011. In this powerful year of 2012 imagine the possibilities
and go for it!

You can do this over the next couple of days… I promise
you it will really make a lovely impact.

NEW YEARS RITUAL (You Can Do New Years Eve):

On a sheet of paper, write out all of the things from the
current year that you’ve outgrown, no longer want in your
life, no longer work for you, and anything else you feel
you want to shed and leave behind. On a separate
piece of paper, write all of the things you can think of
and feel that you want to grow and expand in the new
year. Then burn each paper in separate dishes or shells,
making sure all pieces are turned to ashes.

Then, when cooled, put them into separate envelopes
or containers (film canister, Ziploc baggie, etc.) and
mark “to shed” and “to grow” on the container. Around
5 minutes before midnight, start visualizing all the things
on the “to shed” list, and see them slip away, see them
blown away and washed away, out of your energy
field, out of your life and out of your reality. Then go
outside and pour the “to shed” ashes into your hand
and let the wind scatter the ashes away and release t
hem and all they represent, as the old year fades away.

After midnight, after blessing the new year, with the

second container “to grow”, visualize all of these goals,
desires, etc. coming to fruition, to this level of reality.
I bring that envelope down to the garden, and with a
stick dig a small hole, then plant these ashes in the
earth, near a tree or in a special place, (for those in
apartments, I encourage them to use their favorite
houseplant). The ashes are a reminder of the life
cycle, the power of nature and the honoring of
Mother Earth, that these seeds of hopes and
dreams are nurtured into reality, in the coming year.

I know I have given you a lot to think about and also many
ways to participate with others of like minds. I also got a
message that Science has actually proven that prayer and/or
meditation increases memory. Can you imagine that it has
been Scientifically Proven that prayer stimulates your brain
and even has anti-aging benefits? It has been hailed as a
kind of “Fountain of Youth”. Maybe the monks and nuns
did not realize this secret but it has now been proven that
your physical brain is affected by Spiritual Practices. I will

an hour of talk to get this knowledge. It does not take any
specific religion or spiritual practice, but it does shed light
on a practice that 3 out of 4 Americans engage in on a

BELIEF AND IS THE 3RD DIMENSION GOING AWAY?

Wow, what a season. One of the weather forecasts said it would be 17 degrees at night and we were looking at another storm to hit us. I panicked. I absolutely panicked. My street was to be leveled and rocks laid down as it was like a roller coaster. There were so many potholes which of course meant there were many high mounds of dirt which felt like small mountains as you were going over it with your car. It was supposed to have been done two months ago but the Northeaster hit us and most companies have been our cutting down trees, making sure broken branches which are caught temporarily in other branches are taken down or another catastrophe could occur.

We have been having so much rain that the street could not dry and neither do the holes. Of course, once it freezes how can they “cut” down the mountains and fill in the holes and plain level the surface of the street. I called and I guess they heard the panic in my voice (which I tried to hide) Oh me, of no belief. I pride myself on my faith and trust and it all went out the window. So much for pride, it was time for me to let go of the illusion.

I had been attempting to hold up my chin throughout all of the delays and knowing that our thoughts create our reality, I found myself slipping into anxiety that it would not be done in time before winter. Have you ever struggled to believe something that was so evidently not true? Sometimes “knowing” and “being spiritual” places quite a burden on you remaining positive. ON one hand, I “know” that ALL IS WELL and ALL IS IN DIVINE TIMING and I try to get out of my own doubting ways. Of course, you know that Mercury is retrograde but that ends on Dec.13th. The full moon is tomorrow and 12-12 is in a few days.

The energies are quite powerful and I am adamant with myself that I will use the energies and not let the energies use me. Most of the day I can be peaceful and then something will pop in my head or I look out my window at the street. You know how on TV, a sign will say: “THIS IS JUST A TEST” Well this is all it is, an opportunity to strengthen the muscle called ‘Belief”. If we don’t exercise it, it won’t get more powerful.

On Dec 7, the men showed up in the rain and did a beautiful job on our street. I enjoyed watching that machine be used to transform the dirt and the water. It is always such a pleasure to watch an expert manipulate whatever tool they are using when they know what they are doing. It is creation itself.

I had to go shopping, it is Christmas time after all. When I came back home, my garage door was open. I stopped. I knew I had closed it when I left. Did someone have the combination to it and if they did why would they open it especially with all the rain? I was not upset just curious at this event. I put my car in the garage and went to pull packages out of the back when I noticed two boxes and one package sitting there in my garage. What is this? UPS had delivered copies of my book, The Wounded Chalice,that I had ordered so I would have enough to sell at Christmas time. Did someone have to open my garage so UPS could put them in there? But who? No one except my kids know how to open the door. I still wasn’t upset but still puzzled. ( I am so glad that I do not respond to these events in a panic most times).

I brought them and all my shopping in the house and closed the garage door. It went almost all the way down and then popped back up again. That meant that something was blocking the electric eye and I just had not noticed that it popped back up when I left. That solved that mystery but what was blocking it? I went back out and started to laugh. When my street was being done, the men needed a shovel which I loaned them from the garage. They had dutifully replaced it but had not realized that it was put in a different place, blocking the eye.

The more I thought about it, the more I realized that I was being given a sign that I AM ALWAYS taken care of even when I don’t know it. God, the angels knew my books were coming and had devised a way that they would be protected from harm. How can I worry? How can I panic? I am being watched over in every LITTLE thing so I must have belief and faith and trust that ALL IS IN DIVINE ORDER. I “know” this but I still need reminders every now and then to confirm it. I guess I am to love my humanness as well as my divinity. They go together to complete ME.

As you now know, I have plenty of books which make such wonderful Christmas gifts. I also have two CD’s of workshops I have given as well as bookmarks which hold THE CHALICE PRAYER. They all make wonderful individual gifts but also stocking stuffers. There is still time for me to mail you an autographed copy with a message from Mother Mary just for you if you are interested. I have a very dear friend, Katie, who sent me my very first Christmas card of the season. She takes pictures and then creates the cards as well a personal note inside. It makes me feel so humble that in all of my humanity, she sees more. The cover of the card is a beautiful angel, purple of course with the word *BELIEVE* above her. Inside is: BELIEVE in the MAGIC of CHRISTMAS. She wrote:”this card is in your honor. The angel and purple theme remind me of you and your love of both”. Inside was a prayer of “BELIEVE” by Linda Ann Henry. I want to share it with you so you will feel the magic tool.

Just believe in the little things, to help you get by.
Just believe, tomorrow’s life will bring
Starlight to your eyes.

Just believe in miracles. for they all come true.
Maybe not the way we wish for them
But in God’s own time, they do.

Just believe in songs from the heart,
That each angel sings.
Just believe that butterflies, are only angel’s wings

Just believe in things we cannot see,
Holidays and bells that softly play.
Christmas love that flies the world and angels to come true.
Just believe, it can be done, then you will make it through.

Just believe in goodness and sleigh rides,

And the man in the moon, tonight.
Just believe in magic and firework displays,
It can happen anytime, almost everyday.

God gave us wisdom, He gave us wonders to behold.
Just believe, even though heaven is so far away.
The birth of Jesus can be told.

Just believe and watch.
Nature come to be, in all the beautiful flowers,
in the grass and on the trees.
God’s art is ever turning, for those who see….
If we just BELIEVE.

This has been a week of believing. First in God and then in myself. I wish you such a week.
