IS THE SPRING IN THE AIR OR IN YOUR STEP?

The sun is coming back this way so now I can see the sunset. As I
go into summer it will reach a dip in the mountains and then start
to go back the other way. Seeing the sunset is such a high spot of
my day and in the summer I try to be home for the sunset. Knowing
it is here only for about 6 months makes it even more special.

The sun (Son) is what enlivens me and lifts my spirits up. I went
out in my kayak today, my 3rd time. Yesterday I tried but the
current was too strong and kept trying to pull me out to the middle
although there was just a little wind. So I only stayed for 15 minutes
as the water is still too cold to attempt to go in the middle of the
lake. At this time of the year, the wind comes up suddenly and if
I get dumped, it is still way too cold to survive for very long.

I am sharing this with you to encourage you to find a place or
practice that will lead you into meditating on your riches. At
this time of the year, I have the lake to myself. There are no boats
with their motors or even the lawnmowers making their noise. It is
QUIET. As I began to go around a bend, there were quite a few ducks
a ways away, not even that close. All of a sudden, I saw at least
100-150 migrant ducks fly into the air and take off. I was awe struck.
I never see that many as my lake is a stop over for them to feed so
they can finish migrating to their place of choice.

I see them with my binoculars which I so enjoy but the most I see at
one time is perhaps 16 of them. I got the feeling that they
were saying AuRevoir to me until fall. What a treasure, how rich
I am. I see them only twice a year and I talk to them telepathically
while I am enjoying their antics and dives with my binoculars.

As I was kayaking around the lake ( my first time this year) I saw
a mallard duck fly away from shore and he kept landing and then
flying up again. He did this 4 times and it made me wonder if his
mate was nesting and he was trying to lure me away from where I was.
There are no docks lowered yet and no water lilies growing yet and I
only met one young man who was eating his lunch while sitting on
the shore near the water. No one is out yet but that will soon
change. And….I look forward to the changes as they occur even
though I prefer the early spring and late fall as it is quieter.

This is quite a reminder for me to allow the changes in my life. To
just know that changes are inevitable and if something is happening
now that I don’t like, it will change soon so all I need is some
patience. Don’t we all need reminders?

Just because I am blessed to have such serene surroundings doesn’t
mean I don’t have challenges. I have been having computer problems
and challenges for the last three weeks. I wonder if Spirit is
telling me to finally give in and buy a new computer as I have
Windows XP and my desktop is 7 years old. I am researching what is
being offered now and just might go to an Apple computer but I need
to go and try one at the store before I finally decide.

No matter our challenges, we can still breathe, smile and sigh.
Let’s be grateful for the moment and when life throws us a curve,
let’s envision the moments where we felt young and carefree.

This description by Paddy just about sums up my week. I wrote last
week about the scammer that called me. Well, that seemed to start
an avalanche of computer problems. Privately, I now know that it
was the energy caused by my being so upset that built the energy
so high that it manifested at my weakest point, the computer.
Have you ever been so upset that it started an avalanche of
circumstances that you could not quite control? This is a great
example of what happens when you let fear take over.

I have been upset with myself for my lack of Faith and Trust. AND
IT SHOWED. As we are always the only creator of our world, it was
a wake up call for me. The vibrations and energy caused a mini
tornado to occur in my world.

I started to get a message that my computer was at risk, that I
needed to get virus protection. I already had Norton but this
was a message from Microsoft windows. What should I do? My son,
Bruce suggested that I call Norton, so I did. You know when you
call for help from a large company, your call goes to a different
country? Well, here I was again with someone who has an accent but
it was not as bad as the scammers.

The man was very polite and tried for four hours to figure out why
and how this was happening on my computer. Next, I asked to speak
to a supervisor and this man’s accent was not as pronounced. In
fact, it could have been a woman but I did not want to take the risk
of offending him/her and their Indian names I am not familiar with
so that did not assist me in determining the sex. What difference
did it make anyway? After another 3 and a half hours at this computer,
the technician said he/she would call me the following day. In the
meantime, I did not want to risk using my computer and expose it to
viruses.

The next day, I called Microsoft to see if they had any heads up
about this. The technician could not even get into my computer
to see what was happening. My computer simply would not let her
to take over and while I was on the phone with her, Norton called
me. We all decided to let Norton try to figure it out because
Microsoft could not do anything if they could not “see” the problem.

This man was a higher level technician so he had more expertise to
work with and after another three and a half hours, he convinced
me that my computer was in fact protected by Norton no matter
what that pop up error message said. He said that , for some reason,
Microsoft just wasn’t able to recognize that Norton was doing the
protection. The two systems just weren’t communicating(does this
sound familiar?), it seems to be a worldwide problem. I breathed a
heavy sigh of relief and made the decision to trust what I was being
told. I don’t know about you, but I hold my breath when I am in
situations like this. I don’t realize it until it is over and I start
breathing again. I know better than to do this but it seems to be
an automatic response to stress.

My anxiety vibration seemed to reek havoc with my electronically
devices including my TV. All of a sudden, my TV was coming in and
out.I went uotside to check the satellite dish and it was fine. There
was a little wind but nothing that would affect the dish. After
an hour of this, I called Direct TV and the technician kept leading
me to try different things which were not working. Finally, after
an hour she had me switch the ?cables and screw cable 1 on receptor
2 and vice versa. That worked and it was working fine again. Whew!

I went to print something out from my computer and discovered that
it would not print. As I checked, I had no computers listed on my
computer. Well, I dug out the installation CD’s. As I have two
printers, I started with the oldest one and kept getting a message
about “print spooler is not running”. I had no idea what that meant
so I tried the other disc for the other printer. I ended with a
message that said:”Spooler Service stopped” I was at a loss again.

Knowing that Norton was the last person to play with the computer,
I called them. I tried to get the last technician but he was
unavailable and this new tech wanted to help me. I said NO, I
cannot spend another 14 hours at this computer and I asked for
a supervisor. They were very accommodating and suddenly I was
talking to a technician who spoke English well and discovered that
this man was in Oregon.

Oh my gosh, I know I have told you this before but it is a law
that when you are connected to someone not in the US that you can
politely request to be transferred to the US. I had forgotten this
although I usually do ask when I am calling a company and I know they
have given me someone not in the US. I have no bias against any one
in a different country but my motto is to help Americans keep their
jobs. I do this on the phone and when I am shopping which includes
grocery shopping, I do my best to buy only American made goods. It
surprised me how much food is from other countries although I knew
that goods were made in other countries.

It was a pleasure to be able to understand Jason and since my
computer is slow, we had much time to chat while it was doing it’s
thing. Another 3 hours at the computer and he finally figured out
how to fix it and even stayed on the phone while I reinstalled my
printers and they were both working. Hooray! I missed 17 minutes of
a class I had purchased on line but it was worth it.

I would like to highly recommend Norton for protection of your
computer. It might have taken a while but they would not abandon
me until it was completely fixed. They stuck with me through
thick and thin and were pleasant about it.

I had p reprogrammed my TV to record shows while I was on this
teleconference. When I got through I went to my TV but it was
giving me a message that I could only record one show so I was unable
to watch one and record another. Darn. Well, the energy is starting
to settle down and the problems seem to be getting smaller. I will
attend to this matter tomorrow as this day is full writing to you
and then preparing the information and script for my TV Show today.

Can you see why the SICK NOTE made me laugh so much. It seems to
be a composite of my past week and I was happy to see the humor in
it. Remember to have compassion when your family or friends go
bonkers. In fact, you can share this story or newsletter with them.
Just remember to catch yourself when you are extremely upset or
anxious as it stirs the energy and vibration and you have started an
avalanche that will only stop at the bottom. Join me in believing
and trusting in the Higher Power no matter what name you give it.
AND…..see the humor in it, it would make a great sitcom.

I will give you another video to watch. Just reading about it
does not do it justice. You want to his face when the “impossible”
happens. It gives us hope when we think we at the end of our rope.

This man lost half of his leg and because he needed the money he
thought he would sell an old Indian blanket that he inherited from
his family.

PREYED UPON?

I am in the midst of another snowstorm which I would not mind but
somehow I “lost” the message I was writing to you. The energies are
having fun playing with me again. I think they are smiling as they
try to see if I still have my patience or am I losing it? Answer:
I am not sure. I will try again.

I received a call yesterday from a person named Daniel and I could
hardly make out what he was saying. His accent was very strong and
I kept telling him I did not know what he was saying. After repeated
tries, through spelling I found out he was with “1 Stop Earcade”
What that is I don’t know and I still don’t know positively but I
have my suspicions. He said my computer was downloading “malicious”
files and soon my computer would be so full that it will crash. I
was astounded and did not believe him as I still could not figure out
how he knew my computer was slowing down and how he even came by
my phone number. Come to think of it, He never mentioned my name
so I don’t know whether he knew it or not. He hit me in a very
deep place of fear, the computer and my lack of knowledge of how
it works. He called it an “awareness” call????? from this company
in NY. I asked what city but was only able to determine it is
Valleycotteve which I have never heard of but he spelled it for me
twice.

My solar plexus was doing push ups and I was feeling queezy. My
mind had to be focused on what he was trying to tell me so there was
not much left to do any rational thinking. Finally he told me to
go to my computer and put in some letters and he would be able to
diagnose the problem and fix it. My reasoning mind knew not to let
any person into my computer that I did not know or trust. It is even
scary for me to do that even with a technician that I CALLED.

He told me how to get into Run and put prefetch in that section. I
knew I was safe as long as I was doing it so I did. There were many
files and he asked me if any of them were familiar. I had to admit
that I did not recognize any and he said these were all “malicious”
files. I still would let him into my computer so he told me to
go back to RUN and insert “msconfig” and then click on services which
showed many I did recognize but some were running and some were
stopped. He said already things were being shut down and
it would not be long before my computer crashed.

I finally drew a long breath and said I would not do anything until
I speak to my younger son Bruce who knows a lot about computers. We
had already been on the phone for 20 minutes as conversation was so
difficult. Daniel (a strange name for someone from India?) wanted to
call me back in five minutes but I said: “No, give me a half hour.”
He had given me the phone number of his company and I asked what
this was going to cost and he said:”Nothing for the diagnosis but
there is a charge if they need to fix it and he did not determine
that”. The phone number is 1-888-514-1650.

My heart was pounding so much and my brain was not entirely free to
make decisions. When someone backs me into a deep fear, my mind
goes blank and it takes time for me to be coherent. I called Bruce
and told him what had happened. He checked and the web said this
company was a telemarketer and there were many complaints against it.

Thank goodness I could call me son for some guidance. He was furious
and suggested I tell Daniel that he(my son)would like to have his computer
diagnosed and then my son could check him out and see if actually
was on the up and up and if not, he would take of the situation.
Bruce and I talked for about a half an hour when my phone rang. I
was kind of hoping he would not call back. I asked Daniel about
checking out my son’s computer but he said he could only call the
phone numbers that he was told to call. I told him he was a
telemarketer and I wanted nothing to do with him. He denied it and
kept insisting that my computer was in danger but I finally told him
to delete me and my phone number from his list and if called me
again I would report it to the police and then I hung up.

My son later called the number I had been given and it was the
technical department: the R&D development, of this company and they
could tell him nothing. As I read what I wrote about this episode in
my life, I wonder why I ever even considered doing what I was asked
to do. It seems so obvious now but it was not when I was going
through it. Has this ever happened to you? These scammers seem to
know exactly what they need to say to convince you. Thank you
Angels for taking care of me when I was unable to.

I would like to believe that I would never have allowed him into my
computer even if my son had not been home. It was quite an
experience and now I have a deeper knowing of how people get conned
or scammed. Before this experience I was (cocky?) sure that I
could not be scammed but now I am not so sure. Fear is probably the
wrong word to use for what I felt. It is my lack of knowledge and
my knowing THAT I am not comfortable with all the computer does and
is capable of doing and so it leaves me at a disadvantage and I feel
powerless. I tend to believe people when they give me suggestions
about the computer because I feel that everyone knows more than me.

My brain seems to be programmed to take computer suggestions from
others and sometimes it leads me into websites that I don’t want.
Even google leads me on a merry chase as I seek information. I guess
I was more disappointed in myself for not seeing the scam coming.
Perhaps it is my ego that is a little deflated but I did not “feel”
any danger from this man except I know enough not to let anyone into
my computer any more than I would let a stranger into my bank account.

I am telling you this so you will be forewarned if this man or company
calls you. I also need to acknowledge that my halo slipped down and
I am not so all knowing in my own eyes. Another thing I am uncomfortable
with is my lack of sensing any danger, my 6th sense did not warn me
but now that I am thinking about it, my 3rd chakra was screaming
at me. Yet, even when my son is working on my computer, I am very
uncomfortable because computer based people do things with little
thought and then I have no way to understand what they did or how to
undo it. I am comfortable if I can delete something that I down
loaded but if I don’t know how to “undo”, I am uneasy.

I have gained a lot from this experience and hope you never have
to experience it. My wish for you is that you learn from what
happened to me. This was a first for me and I need some
laughter right about now. How about you?

Hey, it finally stopped snowing. Now I just need to wait for
the plow to do my street and then the young men who do my driveway
will be able to come and get me open again. Thank you for letting
me share my “scary” experience with you and I will take the storm
ending as a sign that ALL IS WELL!
