JOY OF FULL MOON AND SUMMER SOLSTICE

We have a lot of special days that are reeking with wonderful energy and possibilities. There is the Solstice Full Moon which precedes the Solstice and the first day of summer. Hoorah. The flowers are everywhere and their fragrance is in the air. The sun sets later and we are having fantastic sunsets, Mother Nature is still the best artist there is and my heart fills with the beauty and the variety that she presents to us. It is this time of the year that I make myself sit and just bask in the ever changing forms and colors that make up the sunset. Actually, the beauty comes more after the sun is set as that is when the colors start and the clouds in all their diversity are framed in ways that no human could conceive.

Yesterday, I returned six unopened jars of grape jelly to the store with a vengeance set in frustration. There is no point in filling up the Baltimore Oriole feeders as the squirrels are emptying them faster than the birds. The Orioles are nesting now so I only see them occasionally. After trying every solution to deter the squirrels, I finally conceded surrender. I have not had this problem before but there are 3 baby squirrels who are fearless and no matter how many times they land on the ground they keep coming back. I did not mind going out three times a day to fill them for the first three weeks the Orioles were here as they are the reason I do this anyway. It was so much fun to watch them. Now there is not as much reason to look as often out the window yet the hummingbirds are still here and the golden finches as well as the other birds that eat regular bird food: they stay at the feeders longer so I get to see them more. I am blessed not to be affected by the predrought conditions, in fact, it is much better for me and for my lawn. Being right next to the lake, there is always plenty of moisture for my lawn and most springs, my lawn is difficult to mow because of the wetness. I am very grateful that there are no alligators in my lake.

Let’s take the time to celebrate what we all do share with others on the planet…our humanity. In this nice weather our hopes arise as we look forward to vacations and family gatherings. This is the time.

My heart goes out to the family of that child that was attacked by the alligator. It is not the parents’ fault and they should not be judged. I heard a lot of people say that the parents should have known better because there are alligators in every pond or water in Florida. I know that vacationers or most people who do not live in Florida are not aware that you never go near water in that state because there is likely to be an alligator in it. How could you not feel safe in Disney World? It is for the child in every person who goes there. Let’s not place blame on the family but balm for their sorrows.

Can we take a moment to send loving energy to ALL humanity that has suffered abuse on this planet? ………..

Every one of us can do something for the downtrodden as is evidenced in this video. Can you feel humanity coming together to help one another? I can, I feel it in my heart and there is so much more evidence and so many stories that confirm that it is a huge growing trend. We humans are finally waking up and reaching out to others. After all, we are one species on one planet. Doesn’t that make us a family of sorts? Family members stick together and when one is showing signs of dealing with emotions that overwhelm them, we all do what we can to ease the pain even when they do not appear lovable.

I tend to focus on stories that wake up my heart with joy. I prefer these to the sometime negative thoughts that run in my mind. If I am in joy then that is what I can share with the world. Here’s a good one.

HOW HARD IS IT TO LOVE?

The Earth’s energies are very powerful now and so is the energy of communication. I have been tested very severely but I still am chuckling at the unexpected turn of events. Communication between me and the Phone companies and the Internet companies are still fiercely being seemingly disconnected. I see it as a ball of twine in which so many knots are among the threads that I uncover and untangle one and the next one shows up. I will not bore you with the facts but since my phone number has been altered, if you want to contact me, please email me. Hopefully, all will be back to normal by 6/23 but for now, only the internet is available to me yet I am happy to have it back. I am being uplifted by your chuckles and also your patience.

The first of my three reserved bus trips is happening on Saturday, the Solstice. I am so looking forward to using my scooter for the first of my all-day jaunts. This one is The 2015 Newport Flower Show at Rosecliff Mansion, “American Beauty – Timeless Style”. It’s all about roses which is my favorite flower. I just LOVE the smell of roses and these are not sprayed with a preservative so I will be able to smell them just as they are. What a marvelous treat that is.

TAP INTO THE ENERGIES OF THE SUMMER SOLSTICE

Wow, what a beautiful day this was. Although we had no rain, I looked out and saw a rainbow that appeared to start at the point of clouds that looked like a spear with a boomerang above it. Have you ever looked at the clouds and shapes just seem to appear? I just love looking at them and they are the ones that make the sunsets ever so beautiful. I am always pleasantly surprised at Mother Nature’s vast skills at painting sunsets distinctly different each night. In fact, at this time of the year, I hate to go anywhere in the evening as the sunsets are right in front of my own eyes and I do not have to travel to see them.
Happy Summer Solstice. It is officially tomorrow morning around 6:30 AM EST. I do not follow the stars or the planets but the information I have been reading, this one will be a powerful one. Here is an explanation that will give you some food for thought.

Ladies, do you look at yourself differently than others see you? It is a common trait among the females and you won’t ever see most men worrying about how they appear to others. I envy them sometimes for their ability to just be who they are, they are not concerned about protocol, fashion, or how others see them. Yet…we women respond to certain modes of dress, hair and actions. When I watched this video I was struck by a deeper appreciation of who I AM.

One concept from this that I garnered was not to look outside myself for the rainbow or the castle in the clouds. Each of us has everything we need right inside of us, we just need to look there and trust the guidance we get. I say thank you quite often during the day but I was listening to a speaker who said that the secret to being grateful is to be thankful from the heart. I think the words and I say them usually out loud but I can’t remember focusing on my heart when I do. That is the secret to “feel” so lucky that every day, every moment is like a rainbow that beckons us to be real joy. Intent and focus on the gratitude being HEARTFELT is the secret ingredient to always feeling truly happy.

I just learned a new word, Angiogenesis. I think we are going to be hearing a lot about this in the near future. I wanted to let you in on this so you will be familiar with it and what it means. I believe in miracles, do you? Miracles come in many forms and today’s advances in technology and medical breakthroughs would have been considered miracles in my parents’ lives, even in my own younger life.
