MATURE VS YOUNG

Welcome to all our black, brown, tan or any color brothers and sisters.  You are finally recognized as deserving your own HOLIDAY for your release from slavery.  Thank you for all you have done for Mother Earth and ALL her inhabitants.

I have not yet identified the bird that coats the bird seed with grape jelly before feeding its babies. But…my sister-in-law came over to see the bird and ended up spending 2 long hours with Spectrum over my cell phone which I have had since August 2020. I never realized that I had never received any calls because of a faulty SIM card(what is that?)  I gave my cell phone number only to my son so I figured I got no calls because no one had my phone number.  I get ROBO calls on my land line and I certainly did not want them on my cell. I am laughing because it seems impossible to own a cell phone for almost two years and still do not know how it operates and worst of all, that it does not work like it should.  It is a glorified address book because I carry it only to use in case of an emergency. I am in awe of what she could do with my phone and I am very grateful to her for finding out my phone does not work right.  The battery does because I have to keep charging it.

Since I live alone, I have never had anyone to give me advice on how to work it. Spectrum, they sent it to me in the mail. The have charged me all these 22 months. I bought the phone from them because they offered help at different locations.  I did go to three different stations for help but they are allowed only three customers at a time and there is a long line outside just to talk to them. Even in the rain, we needed to stand outside with an umbrella until it was our turn to go in. When I finally got to someone, they talked so fast and treated me like I was supposed to know how to make it work.  I finally gave up going to them.

The amazing revelation:  that you can’t know what you are missing if you don’t know what or how it is supposed to work.

Please give your seniors a break as we were brainwashed as a child.  No one did it on purpose but I was 4 when I went to first grade. Children are in their highest amount of brain growth until 7or 8 years old.  We were not allowed to “try” to do anything differently, we were told to just do it as we were told. So our brains were stunted and we were not allowed to explore which is what the computer allows you to do.  The Computer was created to work like your brain so children adapt quite easily to it. I know you younger people do not understand why we seniors cannot understand the computers but please give us a break.  We are doing “GREAT” considering what we had to work with.  Enjoy your computers and your mini computer cell phones.

Does this sound familiar to you?  What that young boy was going through is quite familiar to everyone but let’s change this part of growing up.  Let’s keep our eyes open for children that are being treated as less than. Kudos to those teens who stepped in with a kind heart. Hey, guys and girls, let’s start a fad. Can you just imagine a world like the ones these teens showed us is quite possible.

It is wonderful to know that there are a lot of people who do good deeds without ever asking for recognition.

I must say that I cringed when I looked at this critter. Yet, what a wonderful service he can do for us.

Will this be the solution for people who are having such a hard time at this time?

MIRACLES IN DISGUISE

This is the time of year when the birds entertain us with their beautiful songs and with their plumage too. I feed birds and my favorite everyday and all year bird is the Golden finch whose male carries the gold color on all of its body in the Spring and Summer and then returns to a mousy brown in the winter to look just like its mate. I have two favorite migrant birds; the beautiful hummingbirds who entertain me with their aerial antics and the Baltimore Oriole who is a bright orange and loves grape jelly. In fact, if you notice that there is a shortage of grape jelly at your grocery store, know that it is because we birders are feeding that to the Orioles.

This year I have an unusual bird who comes to my feeders, get some bird food and then dunks it in the grape jelly and flies off to feed his/her baby. Why ?????. I keep searching my bird book to find the unusual bird but unless you have never looked in a bird book, you would not know that there are so many birds that look alike, it is almost impossible to recognize all the birds. If you have found out what kind of bird that is, please let me know. I have never heard of a bird feeding chocolate covered food to its offspring.

This is an example that I would like to see flourish on our beloved planet. When you treat people like humans, they respond like humans and not animals. I hope this news goes viral.

Talk about a payback.  This is what America is all about.

Here is proof that moving and jiving are good for your brain.  Allow the children and teens to have their music, it is good for them. Just have them keep the sound level down to protect their eardrums.

Oh, what a treasure has been found.  Is it time for us humans to look at animals in a different way?  I know that lab rats have been very important to our medical knowledge but I have always felt quite cruel to use them for that.  Look at what rats can do and just by using their natural gifts.

I have heard that:”Everything happens for a reason” and this story confirms that saying. Wouldn’t it be great if we could see all happenings to be miracles in disguise?

GOOD NEWS

This is such a great time of the year.  My bird feeders are seeing a lot of activity and each feeder is being visited time and time again.  I have the regular birds but I have some new additions too.  A pair of bluebirds availed themselves of my feeders in the winter and they are still coming back which is a first.  The Grosbeak with the red heart has come back also. The golden finches have finally transitioned back to gold from a dull brown which they wear all winter. The hummingbirds and the Baltimore Orioles are back also, they are here only during the warm weather. This article I will share with you is about a birder but his birds are not dependent on feeders. They are in the wild and boy, does he know his birds. I envy him his knowledge. I don’t envy him what he was subjected to though. When oh when are we going to become aware of the unity of all humans? If you take off our skin and our hair, you would not be able to tell us apart. Would you really like to live in a world that would be so dull and boring?  Let us simply enjoy one another and our differences. It is comforting to know that we do not HAVE to know everything because we have brothers and sisters who share what they know.

Are you as confused about the use of firearms as I am?  I do not own a gun and I was born into World War 2 so my perspective on guns is probably different than yours.  I also have many questions which need answers. This is an article that thoroughly gives the information that you and I are seeking.  I have many “WHY’s” too.

I am familiar with Small Pox but Monkey Pox is totally new to me.  Of course, when I was younger we did not have the machinery to get instant news like we do today.  I am as interested in this as you so I want to share this article that gives a more diverse background of this phenomenon.

Do you have a loved one who suffers from Asthma?  I do, my granddaughter, so I am quite excited to know about this new means of helping her.  WE are fortunate to be living at a time of so many new treatments and understandings of what our bodies need.
