ARE ALIENS WITH US? DO THEY EXIST?

Beloved,

Are you enjoying summer? It is brand new this year and came in a
week ago. We have had a lot of rain so it feels like spring to me.
The lake is finally at its normal level which means the water is well
below the docks instead of flowing over them. I personally love
going barefoot, going without a jacket except I have to take a wrap
when I go in air conditioned stores (I thought we were conserving
energy?), feeding my birds that are here only for a short time,
driving is nice on the tree lined streets, waking up early with the
sunrise, staying outside late and watching the sunsets that are
later, even watching the geese on the lake. I saw a beaver crossing
the lake this morning, I know it costs about $100 each to bring them
to a new location and they did relocate 14 but I guess some have
made their way back. The beavers build their dams in the most
unlikely places and cause flooding where it should not occur.

Writing this list makes me realize that there is nothing in this world
that does not have both sides of the coin. Of course, we live on Earth
which is the planet of duality so everything, I mean everything
has two sides which includes arguments. I guess the middle road
is the best place to be and stay which means cooperation and
compromise. Boy, how did I get on this tangent?

I read something that makes so much sense and I intend to do it
from now on. We all spend too much time sitting, whether watching
TV or being on a computer. Here is a trick that your body will love
you for doing. It’s easy, we just need to remember to do it.

I finally have my new exterior doors painted. I bet you can’t guess
what color? You’re partly right!. I have a deeper purple on the
exterior and a beautiful lavender on the interior. Something I did
not expect was what the interior looks like at night. It is a
vibrant PINK!. The color is a perfect lavender during the day so
the lights must make it Shocking Pink!!!!I certainly did get a
surprise with that one. It is supposed to be the right paint but it
does not cover well. Three coats later and you can still see streaks
with the white below????? I am sure this will finally cover over but
it certainly a lot more work than expected. I am having a brand new
experience by changing my old doors to new ones. You just never
know when you will learn something new. See why we need each other,
we don’t all know the same things. That is why we can help one
another and no one is really smarter than the other. We just have
different categories of expertise.

Have you had anything unusual happen to you with these three days
of powerhouse energy? The Super Solstice, Super Full Moon and now
Mercury going retrograde? I know I was affected with unusual pains
and needing to sleep more. In fact, I spent Sunday and Monday mostly
in bed and seeing stars? doing strange things in the sky. I think
one was a planet that kept dividing into two lights and going up
and down. Admittedly my vision could be playing tricks. One day
I got a free Chili at Wendy’s, I was so surprised as this young lady
asked me what I could eat and I mentioned only the baked potato or
the chili. I had stopped for coffee as Wendy’s offers free coffee to
seniors but I never got food free????. When I received my order of
oatmeal from Canada, I received an extra bag????? And many AHA
moments that I cannot recall now. Why or why can’t I remember these
momentous moments if I don’t write them down. Once you know or
become aware of a different perspective, you just know it and take
it for granted after a little while. It is still in your memory
and when you hear or read the old perspective, all of a sudden
you realize again the new one.

During this time I received a spectacular video on an alien. This
was amazing to watch and if you read the comments, you are still
amazed. I have never met an alien that I am aware of, but I believe
they exist and they are here. How can we, the Human Race, be so
conceited as to think with all the BILLION of planets, that we
are the only consciousness in the Universe? I could go on and on but
I won’t. Click here and see what you think.

I am so grateful for all of my abundances. They come in many forms,
including the rain we have been having. Today will pass and there
will not be another day JUST like this one. Join me as I become
more and more aware of the little instances in my day.

Just sit back and watch this OUTSTANDING video for a couple of minutes.

A GRATEFUL HOLIDAY – THANKSGIVING

BELOVED,

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!

Today I will spend the holiday alone physically. I used to
begrudge the stores that remained open on holidays thus
preventing families from being all together. I have a
different perspective now which I am grateful for. With this
economy, people are being given the opportunity to earn
extra money which is sorely needed.

We can celebrate Thanksgiving every day as we become
aware of all that we have to be grateful for. My youngest
son Bruce, was given the opportunity to earn extra money
today as was my daughter-in-law Angelica, my oldest son
Steve’s wife. For that, I am grateful.

I laid in bed this morning grateful that I could gently ponder
all my blessings and then rose to greet a day where I could
just be kind of in slow motion. I put on my large furry soft
housecoat and slippers that cushioned my feet and just
leisurely went to the bow window to see what the lake had
to offer me today. The sun is not out and it is 32 degrees but
as I stand looking, the heat is right below me so I am toasty
warm.

There is nothing spectacular to look at but I am one with Mother
Nature as the mallard ducks are ducking their heads below the
water to nibble on the weeds which is their food. They are also
preening themselves at the edge of the water. The smaller birds
are flitting around nibbling and the ones who are still are small
puffed up balls as they expand their feathers to retain the heat.
The larger birds are flying around, going from tree to tree and
across my view of the water.

While I enjoy the spectacular views that are sometimes there, it
is because of the comfortable day to day views that make them
so memorable, It is much like our day to day activities, they make
the holidays so memorable when we gather together in remembrance
of the love between us.

Bruce called me as I settled in meditation to wish me a Happy
Thanksgiving and I was in even more gratitude afterwards as
I resumed my prayers. After being filled up with Love and
Gratitude, I settled down again to enjoy a breakfast I usually
only allow myself on Sundays. Since becoming diagnosed with
Celiac and needing to be gluten-free, one of the treats I missed
most was bagels and cream cheese. I used to have them for
breakfast every Sunday.

Well, a new brand has appeared in the gluten-free market. UDI’s.
Their bagels are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, just
like regular ones. Even people who do not need to be gluten-free
enjoy them. As I was shopping at Peas On Earth, a gluten-free,
vegan and organic store, I noticed Organic cream cheese. It has
such a mild sweet flavor (not sugary) that it really was the topping
on the bagel(cake). I am so grateful for those who continue to try
to make our food taste scrumptious instead of like cardboard.

At my age, it is a treat to find something I have not eaten before.
Since I am alone today, I decided to make myself a Cornish
Hen which I have never had. I am looking forward to
having that along with mashed potatoes and butternut squash
with a touch of maple syrup for my Thanksgiving Feast. and guess
what? I also found organic ice cream sandwiches with gluten-free
ice cream between two gluten-free chocolate cookies for desert.
Yummm!!!! Am I not blessed?

Most of all, I want to thank you for being in my life. If not for
you, I would not have the opportunity to put to pen my musings
and thoughts. You are a light in my life which allows me to be
so grateful for being human. We humans are one with Mother
Nature and all the gifts She has to share with us. Where would
we be without our Beloved Planet, our home? Earth supplies us
with all we need to live and the opportunities to be with one
another in so many myriads of scenarios. Let us be grateful for
one another and the diversity we share.

Please come along with me in feeling the gratitude for each other
and what we have been given. Thank you again for being you.

Simply gorgeous!

FREEDOM FROM WHAT?

Happy 4th of July!!!! What symbolism this day bears.
We are free as a Country from the terrorism of other
countries and our beloved service men and women
are the reason for this freedom. We owe them a
debt beyond anything we can give them.

Today also brings up for me the many ways I am not
free. I am not free from the negative news that is spewed
across the airways, I am not free from the judgement of
my peers who differ in opinions whether pertaining to
religion or politics or health policies. But…..I am free
to say what I do believe and I am also free to make
up my own mind of the things I choose to believe.

The hardest freedom to attain is from the habits of the
mind. My mind is most critical of myself and my habits.
Other people habits do not really affect me directly but
the way I look at myself in mind, body and spirit does
directly affect me. I am more critical of myself than any
other person I know and I find it more difficult to forgive
myself for transgressions that seem to come upon me
without me even being aware of them.

Having ice cream is not a terrible thing, in fact, it is
quite soothing especially at this time of the year. Yet,
one eskimo pie leads to another and I can’t seem to say
no to myself after just one. I know better than to eat
more than one but it’s like one calls for more. I do
not even want ice cream other than when it is hot
outside and I would like the freedom to say no to
myself when my urges are excessive. We have all
had occasions when urges take us over so we know
the ramifications of giving into them. But….oh, that
Eskimo pie is so refreshing.

I know this is a small thing in the scheme of things and
I am grateful for the opportunities (after all, I do the
grocery shopping), I guess its OK to be excessive
occasionally. How many people would like to have
those opportunities.

I have just witnessed the most beautiful display of
fireworks. Remember I live on a lake which is
another thing I am grateful for. There must have been
all the boats from around the lake out there with their
silhouettes and their night lights on, it was a sight to behold.
Usually after sunset, the boats retire to their perspective
mooring sites. There were five houses who shot them off,
each one trying to top off the last one. They took turns
so it lasted quite a while.

I was able to watch from inside my house through my bow
window and I could see them all. I have a sensitivity to
smoke of any kind so I was able to be safe inside and
still enjoy the display. Another thing to be grateful for.

We as a country, have so much to be grateful for. We
take our freedoms for granted without even taking the time
to thank our fellow Americans for giving us those rights.
We have many ancestors to also thank for Our Land
of the Free. Let us take a moment to send up a silent
prayer for all the freedoms we do have.

I received this info and this is an appropriate day to
share this with you.

Subject: The Last Post

We have heard the music a thousand times. Now we know
the history & the words. WOW!!!!!!
If any of you have ever been to a military funeral in which The
Last Post was played; this brings out a new meaning of it.

Here is something everyone should know. Until I read this,
I didn’t know, but I checked it out and it’s true:

We have all heard the haunting song, ‘The Last Post.’
It’s the song that gives us the lump in our throats and usually
tears in our eyes.

But, do you know the story behind the song? If not, I think
you will be interested to find out about its humble beginnings.

Reportedly, it all began in 1862 during the American Civil War,
when Union Army Captain Robert Ellicombe was with his men
near Harrison’s Landing in Virginia . The Confederate Army
was on the other side of the narrow strip of land.

During the night, Captain Ellicombe heard the moans of a soldier
who lay severely wounded on the field. Not knowing if it was a
Union or Confederate soldier, the Captain decided to risk his life
and bring the stricken man back for medical attention. Crawling
on his stomach through the gunfire, the Captain reached the
stricken soldier and began pulling him toward his encampment.

When the Captain finally reached his own lines, he discovered
it was actually a Confederate soldier, but the soldier was dead.

The Captain lit a lantern and suddenly caught his breath and
went numb with shock. In the dim light, he saw the face of
the soldier. It was his own son. The boy had been studying
music in the South when the war broke out. Without telling
his father, the boy enlisted in the Confederate Army.

The following morning, heartbroken, the father asked
permission of his superiors to give his son a full military
burial, despite his enemy status. His request was only
partially granted.

The Captain had asked if he could have a group of Army
band members play a funeral dirge for his son at the funeral.

The request was turned down since the soldier was a
Confederate.

But, out of respect for the father, they did say they
could give him only one musician.
The Captain chose a bugler. He asked the bugler to
play a series of musical notes he had found on a piece
of paper in the pocket of the dead youth’s uniform.

This wish was granted.
The haunting melody, we now know as ‘The Last Post’
used at military funerals was born.

The words are:

Day is done.
Gone the sun.
From the lakes
From the hills.
From the sky.
All is well.
Safely rest.
God is nigh.

Fading light.
Dims the sight.
And a star.
Gems the sky.
Gleaming bright.
From afar.
Drawing nigh.
Falls the night
Thanks and praise.
For our days.
Neath the sun
Neath the stars.
Neath the sky
As we go.
This we know.
God is nigh

I too have felt the chills while listening to ‘The Last Post’
but I have never seen all the words to the song until now.
I didn’t even know there was more than one verse .
I also never knew the story behind the song and I
didn’t know if you had either so I thought I’d pass it along.

I now have an even deeper respect for the song than I
did before.

Remember Those Lost and Harmed While Serving Their
Country. Also Remember Those Who Have Served And
Returned; and for those presently serving in the Armed Forces.

Mary Grace
