Beloved,
We, the North East, have had many surprises this winter but California has had more. I, for one, am very happy that I do not live in California and surrounding states. We had one snowstorm in December and then waited until March to have another one.
My lake did not completely freeze over; in fact, she has had more ice on her this past week than all winter. Ice fishermen have my sympathies but again, I am happy for the mild weather.
We did have a few power outages but the worse for me was last week as a downed tree knocked not only the electricity but also the phones and my computer. Side note:” this happened right after I sent you my newsletter”. YOU MADE IT. We were completely out of power and the temperature was cold. My generator would not kick in so I mean, I was out of all power. Finally at 5:30pm with my home at 53 degrees the electric came on. I had been wondering where I was going to spend the night. BUT….my generator did not come back on and I had no idea how to check to see if it had power or not. Another snow storm was predicted with much snow coming in a few days. Without my generator as a back up, I had no power to even get water from my well. Oh well, I won’t even be able to flush my toilet let alone get a drink.
The next day, I called a man who had done an oil change on my generator 3 years ago and, can you believe it, he offered to come from Connecticut the following day, Sunday, to check it out for me. Talk about a miracle that was one kind of shock. Usually you have to wait at least a week or so, not a day. He came as he promised and the problem was my battery so he had to go out and shop for needed supplies like oil and a battery but he got it running as good as ever. Thank you, God for people like him who are willing to go the extra mile.
Here is another story of a “Good Samaritan”. It makes my heart feel good when I see proof of humans helping humans no matter who they are.
Can you just imagine the faith and hope these doctors had? I am certain that this child’s parents were ecstatic when it was all over. Miracles do happen.
A mystery is solved and heartwarming laughter comes as the answer shows up.
It seems that all that I am attracting to share with you are good neighbor stories. It is proof that:”there are many good people right around us”. Read and enjoy, the gratitude feeling will stay with you.
You just NEED to read this poem and the story behind it. It will bring back good memories for anyone who has ever had a pet.
Love and Light
