LOVE YOUR UNIQUENESS

Beloved,

What a fabulous weekend we just had. Indian Summer
was never more beautiful. Not only were we able to
go outside with just short sleeves, the sun for five days
just lifted all of our spirits.

I woke up one of those mornings and gasped with surprise
and pleasure after I raised the blinds and looked out my
bow window facing the lake. The water was just like glass
except it was a rainbow of colors. The sun was at such an
angle that it illumined all the colors of the trees and even the
few white clouds above. Our fall colors until that day were
quite dull I thought but it could been the many days of rain
that made it appear like that. The colors were so vibrant
and it was such a glorious site of seeing double the scene
in front of me. The reality of the clouds in the sky and
the colors of the actual trees against the reflection of all
that in the water.

In fact, as I was mesmerized by this, a man appeared
with a camera and a tripod. I have no idea who he
was, I had never seen him before and there he was
on the beach quite close to the water and he captured
that moment in time with his camera. I bet it ends up
on a calendar or in a book or who knows what.

I was in such gratitude for being here at this particular
moment in real life and not just enjoying a picture of it.
How blessed I am to live here and get these awesome
moments to treasure. Of course, the sun changes and
then the breeze picks up which ripples the water and
changes the whole effect. But….WOW, I wish I
could sear it into my memory yet need to appreciate
the very moment I am in and move on to the next one.

Of course after that, I am sure you know I went out
in my kayak, how could I not? As I am out in the
water with a current now, I began to look up at
all the trees and the many variations of colors that
each tree had and how Mother Nature makes such
a beautiful painting of the kaleidoscope of hues.
I seemed to go into a meditation of sorts although
I was aware of where I was .

The thought entered my mind of how much similarity
there was between humans and trees. The earth is
certainly abundant with both. We both have our
beginnings as seeds. Not all seeds grow into trees
or humans. As the seed is germinated, it begins
to grow and is protected and nurtured by a
womb or the dirt that encases it. The seedling
is like a newborn who needs to be nurtured and
protected while in infancy. They need mature adults
whether they be human parents or grown trees
that shelter and give the young sprout a chance
to grow into maturity.

There are stages of growth in humans and trees.
Seasons reflect also the newborn (Spring), young
adulthood (Summer), middle age (Fall) and maturity
(Winter). Trees begin in Spring with buds which
bloom into light colored leaves, then into Summer
where the leaves get a deeper color, then into
Fall where their individuality of color stands out,
then into Winter where all the leaves (hair) fall and
they stand naked in their strength just like a senior
adult.

I began to wonder if trees felt different and perhaps
alone like so many humans do. They are all green
at the beginning and have unique shaped leaves just
as we humans have unique faces and bodies.
Have you ever noticed that similar trees are usually
in groups but then there are the ones who all of a
sudden appear different? Just like people, there
are those that “appear” different. Lo and behold,
they (trees and humans) are different to enhance
the traditional ones.

A beautiful red tree in the fall is quite unique, did it
ever feel like it was the only one in a crowd of
yellow, orange and green trees? Do you feel
different than all your family, friends and peers?

I then realized that the beautiful red tree “enhanced ”
all the other colors. It brought out the uniqueness of
each color which by itself would not have created the
beautiful symphony of colors that met and pleased my
eye. Are you afraid to be unique? Your uniqueness
can only bless and amplify the beauty of those around
you. It takes all the colored trees and all the humans
to be so spectacular.

If we look at humanity as a whole, the uniqueness does
not stand out just as the trees do not reflect the beauty
of each leaf and its uniqueness. You have to look at
the individual leaf or person to notice the beauty of each.
Each leaf of every tree has its own Divine Timing and
purpose just as it echoes each individual human’s timing.
Not all the leaves turn color at the same time and each
one is destined to fall to the ground in its own time.
Each human does not reach its peak at the same age
and contributes to the whole whatever “stage” it is in.

Have you ever looked closely at a leaf to see just how
unique it is. Not even a snowflake of which we have
innumerable are the same, each is unique. So are
humans each unique and irreplaceable. There is no
one just like you, you have a purpose that only you
can fill and you fill it by just BEING you. You are
not called a human being for nothing, you are not
a human DOING. Just be…….like the leaf that
appears to just hang there until it falls. The beautiful
loving energy that is you only needs to BE.

AND YOU WILL AFFECT ALL OF THE WORLD

Lets be proud of the kaleidoscope that we are as we
love each others differences. I find it so hard to put
into words just what I felt and became aware of
while sharing myself with the trees and the water.
I do know to the depths of my soul that the “whole”
is not complete even if one individual is missing. It
takes all of us with our unique color or flavor to
make us complete, a whole world.

Let me leave you with the beauty and simplicity yet
joyfulness of this video.

SEIZE THE MOMENT

Beloveds,

First let me apologize for being late with this week’s
newsletter. I was a speaker and an exhibitor at this
year’s Natural Living Expo in Sturbridge, Ma. I packed
up all the things I needed into my car on Friday and went
to set up my booth. I went earlier than usual as I was trying
to beat the rain so my things would not get wet. I was
able to stay dry bringing them in and it started to rain just
as I brought the last of it into the building. I thanked Mother
Nature for waiting. I intended to write you when I got back
home but I had one phone call after another so there went
the time I wanted to spend with you.

The weekend was wonderful with all this high energy and
everyone having a good time and a lot of laughter and admiring
all the new items and the creativity of the presenters. It was
wonderful to see many of you there and I was able to hug you
in person instead of through my newsletter.

Since rain was predicted for the next 5 days, I emptied my car
when I got home last night. I have not put it away but at least
it is in the house. I woke up this morning with quite a sore back
from all the packing and lifting of crates into and out of the car
twice but that is par for the course.

When I looked out at the lake through my bow window, I gasped
at the beauty of it. The water was perfectly still so all the homes
across the lake and even the clouds were reflected in the water.
This is when I most want to go out in my kayak when the lake
is like this. It is usually only like this for maybe an hour before
the wind wakes up and starts to play and make motions on
the water. I wanted to go out in my kayak so badly but there
were things I needed to do. So…I did my prayers and
meditation as I do every day first thing, it starts my day in
the right frame of mind and I get to talk to God and all the
angels and special beings in the higher realms and I also
get to pray for all the people in my life that they may find
peace and love and that includes you.

When I came out of prayer, the lake was still like glass. What
a surprise. My heart was calling me so much to go out but my
body was letting me know that the aches I was feeling was from
all the work this weekend and it did not want to be put to the test
of getting the kayaked unlocked and brought to the water, etc.
I knew my body was hungry so I chose to give it some energy
as it had served me so well on the weekend.

Much to my surprise when I finished breakfast, the water was
still so beautiful. My heart won out although my mind was
telling me just how much I had to do this morning. You know how
it is, there is always something to do so we delay this moment
and hope we can catch it later. One of the wonderful things
about getting older and wiser, you KNOW that there is only
THIS moment and it will not come back exactly as it is now.
I could not even take my vitamins and supplements as I had
not delegated them to the weekly container that holds them
on a daily basis. I always do this on Sunday as this is the day
I give myself to be more laid back and quiet. Do you ever give
yourself that special moment that your heart is telling you to
take? That moment with a loved one or that moment that
takes your breath away in joy?

Oooooh, my heart was really pulling me to go out on the water
so I gave in and left everything just as it was, minus the supplements
and got ready to go. Even my body started to get excited and it
was not too painful setting everything up. The weather was 65 degrees
and at this time of the year, you know it won’t last much longer. In
fact, even during the summer there are seldom days that the water
is this still and lasts long enough to kayak around the lake before the
movement and waves start up. Spring and fall when the morning
temperature is 40 degrees and the water is still, I am not so tempted.
I do go out in the kayak when it is chilly but warm days like these are
only a few a year if you are lucky.

Ooooooh, that first feeling of floating when you get in your kayak, it
is heaven. I feel so one with the water as with a kayak you get to sit
IN the water and not ON the water. It feels like you are gliding on
glass and that glass is a mirror that reflects the sky and you also feel
like you are gliding in the sky. For one moment as I going around the
lake, I saw a couple of kayaks at the edge of the water and wondered
why the owners had left them out like that. A moment later I realized that
what I was seeing was only the reflection of the kayaks that actually were
up on the lawn. It is quite a feeling to actually see double, your eyes
are being given a totally different perspective of what you see every day.
Has that ever happened to you? It is almost like you are living in another
dimension or on a different planet.

At this moment, take a deep breath, take a couple of deep breaths and
receive the peace and loving energy I am sending you. Receive and feel
as you mentally go along this beautiful journey with me. I carried all of
you with me this morning as this journey was another reason that I did
not get this newsletter out to you early this morning as I had set my
intent to do. I want to share this so much with you and I know there is
no space and time that prevents energy from being transmitted and
receive, it just takes your willingness to accept it.

Even the Great Blue Heron who greeted me on my first visit here
fifteen years ago with a realtor (I don’t know if it is the same one
but there is always one resident Heron on the lake) gave me a
special treat this morning. I saw these huge wide spread wings
coming in for a landing on the edge of the lake. It always amazes
me to be aware of the size of them because when they fold them
up as they land, the wings look so small.

Four fifths of the boat are now in dry dock and the docks that are
movable are up on the land, most of them anyway. Since most of
the boats are not in the water and the docks removed and also the
rafts, it is possible for me to get quite close to the shore. I did not
spot any geese so there was no necessity for me to avoid any location
in order to keep the agreement I made with them: not to bother them
if they stay off my beach. It takes me about an hour to go all around
the lake unless I stop and admire and engross myself with the
dragonflies. They love to set down on my kayak and it gives
me a real close up, maybe they are hoping for a ride although
they could get where they are going much faster by using their
winds. There are so many different kinds and such a variety of
colors, some are like rainbows.

The sounds are different at different times of the year. There are
many more bird songs in the spring and even in the summer. In
the fall, there is very little. One bird kept me occupied the whole
time I was on the lake with it’s own special sound, not singing but
unique. Of course, the water lily flowers are gone but the pads are
still there. The turtles were sunning themselves also. There was a
turtle crossing the road right in front of me today and I flashed the
car coming in the opposite direction so it would slow down and be
aware that something was in the road. Turtles crawl real slow so
it takes them a while to get to the lake. I have been seeing turkey
families lately, they are probably staking claim to their hiding places
so they can avoid the Thanksgiving rush. They are a bold bunch and
cross the road whenever they want to.

I am ecstatic that I SEIZED THE MOMENT and gave myself this
beautiful gift. I need to admit that I don’t always listen to my heart
but I am always so happy when I do. Please give yourself a gift
and listen to that urging inside of you to be in joy however that manifests.

I will leave you with a video that will leave you in awe.

This is absolutely beautiful! I can’t imagine
the hours of practice that goes into this …enjoy …

PSYCHIC & BEYOND EXPO THIS WEEKEND

I have not written about the lake much, I have been
so enjoying the warm water to bathe in. Usually I can
stay only 15 minutes before my body starts shivering
but the heat wave warmed up the water very well. A
month is usually all I get for staying in the water and
playing and last night the temperature went down to
50 degrees, which means the water will be cooler from
now on. It takes a long time to warm up but it cools
down much faster. I have even been “playing” with
various ear plugs so I can swim more vigorously.

The Canadian geese have not been as bad this
summer but they surprised me two days in a row
this past week. I looked out one morning and
there were 10 geese enjoying my grass for
breakfast. Of course, what goes in must come
out so they had made a mess of my lawn. Have
you ever tried to pick up geese poop off grass? Not
easy, I must say. I use a dustpan so I can press down
a wide path and then use a piece of wood to get it
into the dustpan.

I reacted like a wild woman. I ran out onto the deck
retrieving the white bucket I use to throw water at
them screaming all the while. You would think they
were humans I was talking to. ” Get out of here, who
do you think you are, you are not wanted, GO GO
GO (words I use when I chase them off the beach).

One goose went through the gate onto the beach but
the other nine headed up the driveway toward the road.
Suddenly my neighbor Bob across the street came out
to see the commotion. He asked what was wrong and
I said these geese were pooping all over my lawn.

Bob started to chase the geese from the street so they
turned and aimed for me. They started to fly but
still were aimed at me, I ducked and they went over
my head. They left a trail of goose poop all over the
driveway in their haste to retreat. What a mess.

After I calmed down, I started to laugh. Cartoons
are made of what just had occurred. Here was
this old woman in her housecoat with hair streaming
in the wind chasing and hollering at geese as they
tried to elude the flying white bucket with no water
that she was swinging at them. They thought a
crazy person was after them and they were right.
I was crazy with their audacity to come in my
yard when there was a fence to protect my lawn.

That laughter eased the laborious task of cleaning
my lawn so I would not inadvertently step in it as I
walked barefoot. It is something I so enjoy and there
also is only a short span of time to enjoy. It took three
separate times of walking methodically up and down
the lawn about 3 feet apart each time to finally get
it all cleared.

The next day they were back but had only begun to
come on my lawn so it was an easier time. I had been
hoping not to use the whirly wind things this year but
after two attempts, I did not wait for a third. I took
out the whirlys and placed the smaller ones under my
fence and three much larger ones in the gate opening
to come in so they would be deterred. I need to pick
them up so the lawn men can do their job and then
put them back in again. They also have a poor memory,
they did not remember the crazy old lady or perhaps,
like children, they were just hoping to get away with it.

The Orioles are gone but the Hummingbirds are still
here and gearing up for their long migration flight.
They are feeding well and dive bombing each other
to strengthen up their wings for the long flight. The
Golden Finch have had their young, they are the only
bird that feeds their babies seed so the niger seed does
not last long. There is a lot of activity around the feeders
and I so enjoy their songs. It is so light and heart lifting .

This weekend there is a great opportunity not too far
from you. It is called the Psychic and Beyond Expo
