Beloved,
Happy Labor Day Weekend! Will it be a weekend of play or labor
or perhaps a mixture of both? I realize right now that there are
energies out in the world that are not pleasant to hear about or
to be concerned about. I wish to give you some info about what is
happening.

Can you believe that Labor Day weekend is here already? It seems
we had summer weather, i.e. heat waves, in July and Fall weather
started in August. The weather definitely affects us, physically
as well as emotionally. People seem to be more relaxed now that
the “heat” is over and they are preparing for fall and different
activity as well as different chores. There are trees around me that
are changing colors and some are dropping their leaves. I can’t
recall any “frost” temperatures, perhaps these trees are not as
well or sturdy as the others.
This morning, the lake gave me another big surprise. A large group
of Mallard Ducks, around 30 suddenly gathered on the beach in front
of my house. They did not stay on the sand, they were busily pecking
at the grass??? I do not know what was there as the ducks seldom eat
the grass. Perhaps there were a lot of bugs which I couldn’t see or
maybe something was coming up from the ground. I have no idea.
I usually see maybe as many as 12 at a time but never this amount
of ducks. Heck, I did not know we had that many around the lake.
They were busy eating and as there is chain link fence between my
grass and the grass on the beach, suddenly one of the ducks was in
my yard. I did not mind and soon another duck popped under and was
in my yard too. They were so busy eating especially where the fence
was that I don’t think they realized that they had popped under into
my yard. They had been there about 15 minutes when the Canadian
Geese decided they wanted part of the feast. So 16 geese settled
down on the grassy area of the beach to eat too. They were not
going to let the ducks have all the fun.
Suddenly 2 black birds joined them but in my yard and then I looked
and saw that 12 Mourning Doves were under the feeders and the tree
in my yard. I have never seen that many together at one time.
What was going on? Even my Great Blue Heron had joined the celebration
but was content to just watch. I had a plethora of flying creatures
making it look like a banquet table of carnivorous birds. I was
trying to mentally figure out why this sudden burst of birds. even
while I was enjoying watching the feasting happening. Perhaps it
was because the sky was gray or maybe a storm was coming?
After all the mind thinking that went on, I had an AHA moment. I
always do my praying and meditating the first thing in the moment,
even before I have breakfast or do yoga or get going on the daily
things. This morning, I went especially deep into the meditation.
In fact, I didn’t really consciously say my prayers as I was deep
into just BEING, being one with ALL. When I came out of it, I did
pray for you and the world, but I had gone much deeper than usual.
I enjoyed it and felt sooo good. I now realize that the love energy
I had connected to was being spread all around my home and of course,
out into the yard and the beach. That energy was so encompassing
that it attracted & enveloped all the birds, ducks and geese:, all
the flying creatures around me.
I hope I can go this deep again as any practice we humans do daily
is always changing. Depending on where we are in the moment, it
affects whatever we are doing. I knew my prayers and meditating
always start my day off right but this was a new awareness
of just how I can affect my own world and the world around me. I am
so blessed to have nature surrounding me. I am getting better at
allowing myself to take the time to enjoy what is happening right
now in this moment. It may never come again so it is especially
precious. My heart’s desire is that the peace I feel is spread
all around the world, to all of humanity.
