WE WEATHER THE STORMS AS ONE COUNTRY

Beloved,

How did you fare the storm? Hurricane Sandy gave the Eastern US a
real hard punch especially in places like NJ that never experience a
hurricane. I hope this newsletter finds you and your beloveds in a
safe, warm and loving space.

My power was off for five hours but the generator that I had spent
9 months (like a pregnancy) deciding how powerful a one to get and
what kind, kicked in so quietly that it was barely noticeable. I
was giddy with glee. After surviving 2011 with its devastating 4
huge disasters, I was in heaven. I felt so safe and secure knowing
that with electricity, my sump pump would continue to take care of
any water problems and my cellar(crawl space) was secure. There
were problems with the TV reception and also my modem for the
web but all in all, it was quite uneventful which I was extremely
grateful for. The power came back on at 10PM so I went to bed feeling
calm.

I woke in the morning to my sump pump alarm going off which meant
that there was water in my basement. Oh shoot! I tried for an hour
to figure out why my pump wasn’t working, I unplugged all the plugs,
checked for power, etc. I finally called the company who installed
it and the manager told me someone would be out by 2PM to assess the
situation. In the meantime, water was still coming in but not in
torrent that most storms bring. At 2:15PM, I got a call from the
manager and he said he could get a service man out to me but he was
coming instead. I was so grateful that he would do that for me,
after all it was not his “job”. He arrived and discovered that I
need a new pump to the tune of $450 and it was only 2 years old.
I guess that it really has had to work hard especially last year
as the water table was really high and it did not get much rest.

I feel so humble after seeing all the devastation that was shown on
TV. I simply lost a pump which was replaced quickly and now my
basement is drying out with the help of a dehumidifier SaniDry. I
received this notice from Mitch Battros who I subscribe to for
the warnings that he gives about sun spots and how they predict
the weather we are going to have. Here is a sample of who he is
and what he offers. It certainly explains why the Earth is having
so many storms right now. Enjoy!

Mitch Battros Interviewed on GAIAM TV
by Mitch Battros – Earth Changes Media

Is it possible that galactic and solar events are exerting an impact
on Earth’s climate far more than any human activities? And is it
possible that these celestial events are affecting us in many more
ways than just the climate? Finally, is it possible that ancient
cultures, such as the Mayans, anticipated these changes?

In a far-ranging conversation that travels to the center of our
galaxy and back, scientific journalist and crisis intervention
specialist Mitch Battros describes the connection between what
happens on the Sun and what happens on the Earth. He speaks about
the impact of solar radiation on the Earth – not just climate, but
Earth’s magnetic field, and, in turn, all life on Earth. And he talks
about an alignment of our solar system in the galaxy, and a beam of
galactic particles that may bring significant change.

Another great article this time from Jean Houston. I hope you are
not sick of hearing about Earth Changes or disasters that affect
Mother Earth. This article gave me a lot of food for thought as well
as confidence in the future. I have often admired trees and even
thanked them for how they care for us in so many ways, with shade,
with nuts and fruits, with wood for our fires, etc. But…..I never
ever gave a thought of how they also give of their very selves in
a storm.

Compassion During the Storm

Dear Friends,

A good friend of mine, the Zen Priest and poet Bonnie Myotai Treace,
just wrote to me a few lines of sorrow over the trees that will soon
be falling.

“I grieve the end of orange leaves. The soon beating death of trees
so many, cracked and broken, pulled from earth, struck and whipt by
wind: trees that will not be mentioned with love, just blamed for
downed lines, troubled lives. My people, they will be breaking,
falling, dying. I sing their lives. Stronger than silk, milk,
midnight. Deeper than shadows, intimations, rootedness itself. The
taffeta sound of their falling is my grief endlessly landing falling again then landing again endlessly…”

May we regain both strength and compassion to serve each other, the
resilience to restore and recreate after it is over, and, most deeply,
the return of wonder, of gratitude, and a commitment to remember
our ultimate truth-that we are after all-the One in the Many and
the Many in the One.

LOVE,
Jean Houston

Do you remember seeing the clip on TV about the rescue of the
people on that boat? This is a link for you to watch the actual
rescue if you want to see it.

Coast Guard Rescues 14 At Sea After Ship Sinks

http://www.dvidshub.net/video/159583/coast-guard-rescues-14-searches-2-hms-bounty#.UJQNE2e8iuk

I was mesmerized as I listened to the voices of the rescuers. No one
person could have rescued these people. It took the whole team.
While the pilot held the helicopter right where it needed to be per
the instructions he/she was receiving (I heard a female voice also)
the “swimmer” as the rescuer was called was being directed where he
needed to be to put the people in the “basket” to be brought up to
safety, the man in the open door was guiding the basket as it
swung to and fro because of the high winds of the hurricane. I was
so inspired by the willingness, courage and strength it took from
each individual. I am sure there were others involved but it brought
to my mind, the election that we as a country are facing in a few
days.

I see the President of the United States as the pilot and the
others as our Senators and Representatives and all the political
people right down to our towns and cities which are all needed to
rescue us when there is a disaster and to keep practicing their
skills so they are prepared when needed. Please choose wisely when
you vote on Tuesday. Vote for the people who you know put you above
their own needs like Obama did when the disaster hit. We need a team
to run this country and we need to be part of this team. Let us do
our part for our country by listening to our hearts and taking the
few minutes it takes to vote. Our ancestors lost their lives so
we would have the Freedom to Vote. We are not asked to give our
lives except for our Miltary Services who deserve to be honored
by respecting their devotion and willingness to die so that we
may vote to keep our country safe for ALL. Lets at least give
two minutes of our time to mark our ballots.

I feel we need a little laughter here so here goes.

WHO AM I?

Beloved,

At this time of the year, there is much to put away, to put in
hibernation for its rebirth in the Spring. I have still not put
my kayak away and it is at this season that I deeply appreciate
the opportunity to see my surroundings in a different way. Most
of the boats are now removed or dry docked and most of the docks
have been pulled up onto dry land. There are still a few stragglers
like me who won’t give up until the lake starts to freeze.

I have not seen a boat out in the past two weeks and I myself have
not gone out in the water much as this season is also windy and I
do not want to battle the wind with the water being so cold. I went
out in the kayak last week but half way around the lake, the wind
was making the water rough ahead of me so I turned around and came
back while I still had some peaceful water. I went out this morning
even though it was not sunny but the water was like glass. I put on a
thin waterproof pants and jacket but as I sat down in the kayak, I
jumped up as the seat was so CCCCold. I came back in the house and
put on some sweats under the waterproof coverings and then went
back in the kayak.

We have a dam at one end of the lake and I have lived here for 16
years but have never seen how they raise and lower the “boards” so
that they lower the water level in the fall and raise it in the
spring. It was quite interesting and I discovered they can only do
it one board a day or week. You should have seen the rush of water
over the dam when they removed only one board. If they did two at a
time, the rush of the water would be too great and people would
get flooded out.

My older son bought a bass fishing boat and tomorrow he is bringing
it here so I can have a ride in it. I am really looking forward
to seeing my lake from above as in the kayak, I sit down into it so
it is a different feel and perspective.

From the kayak, I see many houses now peeking out at me as the trees
have let go of their leaves. The seasons not only change how the
water itself behaves but also what the habitation around the lake
looks like.

Happy Halloween!!!

It is fascinating to see how people change their appearance. It
is the only time you get to look funny or different and it is
accepted by society. Who would you like to be for a day or night?
I don’t know if it is my age or not, but I am quite happy to be me.
It is so difficult to pretend to be other than who I am yet when I
was younger it was fun to try to fool others. Maybe I just did not
know who I was then but now I do.

Once in a great while something as beautiful as this
comes along and must be sent.
Enjoy!!

Acapella Hymn, “WHO AM I”?

FOUNTAINS OF LIFE AND ENERGY?

Forgive me, I forgot to mention in last week’s newsletter that the
6th Annual Living Expo is this weekend, September 29-30. I will be
there at Booth #10 which is the booth I use every year. As many of
you like to attend, I intended to give you a heads up just in case
you did not know when it was. So I am sending out this newsletter a
day earlier. Here is the info:

Join us in Sturbridge this Weekend! Only $10 admission for the whole
weekend.

Sturbridge Host Hotel o Directions
Sturbridge Host Hotel, 366 Main Street (Rt 20 West), Sturbridge, MA

Questions: (508) 278-9640 x 2    [email protected]

Stop by and say Hi if you go, I would love to give you a hug.

The energies are having fun, at least with me. My appointments have
been going belly up so fast my best laid out plans on how to
facilitate and be gas and time conserving to get everything done,
are quite comical after I release the frustration I suddenly feel.
Even when I attempted to write this newsletter and I logged in to
Aweber, suddenly my usual template was gone and I had no idea on how
to get it back. I am learning though, I only wasted a half hour
before I called Aweber for help. How are your plans turning out?

It feels like I am in a comedy play where I am being tested to see
how I can maneuver in the maze and still keep a sense of humor.
I do sometimes lose my patience but even doing that, I am getting
an opportunity to practice being more fluid. Roll with the punches
is the phrase I am hearing. I am hoping that being more fluid will
become a habit that will occur naturally for me now.

Fall is a beautiful time of the year but every fall I feel sad at the
same time I am enjoying what fall brings; like apples, foliage, Big E,
cooler nights and more activities to participate in and an opportunity
to clean out my attic and cellar. Have you ever thought of cleaning
out the attic and cellar of your mind? We only have the moment in
this NOW and the attic and cellar hold onto the past. Quite a thought
provoking idea isn’t it? I feel the dichotomy because the boats are
being put away for the winter, the raft that the children love so
much is now beached, no one is swimming so there are no more squeals
of delight from the children, and I no longer can see the sunsets
from my deck.

The only reasonable excuse I can come up with is that I do not adapt
well to change. OR….is it the Harvest full Moon in Aries on
Saturday that is playing with my mind? Yet in Spring, I am very
happy to change from the cold into the warmth, from bare trees into
leaves and flowers. There are actually people who sincerely LOVE
the changes that comes with the four seasons. Do you look forward
to the changing of the guards?

Actually, one thing we humans can be certain of is CHANGE. In fact,
here in New England, there is a saying: “If you don’t like the
weather, wait a moment and it will change”. I am still playing
with: “Living in the moment because it is all there is”. When I
become aware of how I am feeling sad, I bring myself back to this
actual moment and see what I can feel gratitude for and that usually
snaps me out of my deep reverie of sadness.

I came across this eye opening and mind blowing article from Aluna
Joy which will bring Joy to your heart. It was a reassurance to me
that all the sayings like: Everything happens for a reason; You
are accomplishing your mission even when it doesn’t feel like it;
There is Divine Timing and Divine Order;and Trust in Higher Power.
Read it and see what you think.

Center of the Sun > The Love Bomb… A Message of Profound Healing

The Star Elders channeled by Aluna Joy Yaxk’in

The following is the fourth message that we received in Avalon
(England and Scotland) this past June/July 2012
over Solstice. Y It might be a good idea to read them in order as
each message builds upon the previous one. We are sharing this
message here with you just as we received it, in present time, with
very little editing. We do this for a very important reason.

I went to the Big E yesterday and enjoyed the potatoes from Maine,
so much so in fact that I went back for another one a few hours later.
ONE of the things I enjoy about Fall. Another good thing is that The
Natural Living Expo is here and I may get a chance to see you again.
