I have Spring Fever, it feels so good. I feel like I have been let
out of jail although since I have never been in jail, I can’t imagine
what that would be like. Yesterday capped at a whole 57 degrees
and today was the same. The snow is melting and I can now see the
tops of the bench’s backs on the beach, my fence is now appearing as if by
magic and my driveway is almost ice free with the help of my trusty
ice chopper being assisted by the water under the ice.

I know that tomorrow the cold weather will return but not as cold as it
has been for 6 weeks. Imagine, we have gone a whole week with no
additional snow and I have been able to go out of my house and street
for a whole week anytime I have the inkling to do so. I am in deep
appreciation for the sun and its warmth.

Spring is here and I am claiming it is so. The birds have started chirping
and some are singing their Spring song. The males of the golden finches
are turning from a dull brown to a sparkly brown showing the first sign
of their returning golden color. The frost heaves have appeared, creating
the washboard effect and the snow is melting and causing streams of water
that are so anxious to get to the lake even if it is still frozen. The pot holes
are making their appearance also. Claim it with me….Spring IS here.

I just feel like hopping up and down with glee. My mind does not want
to settle down, it just wants to sing. I feel like a little girl about to go
to the circus and see all the magnificent acts. Mother Nature is getting
ready to unveil her newness and growth. The plants will start to shoot
up soon giving us just a taste of what is in store for us in the upcoming
seasons. Each season has its beauty and its gifts but for me Spring
means new growth and new ideas and rebirth. Would you like to be
reborn? I know I would…. into a stronger, more loving, more
compassionate and wiser human being.

How can I inspire you ? Perhaps with my joy, perhaps with
my exuberance for life with all of its varying scenarios.
This scenery is absolutely as beautiful as it is different and the
music just puts me in such reverence for life on Mother Earth.

PS. As I am sending this to you, we are having a thunderstorm
with fierce lightning, loud thunderclaps and some hail added in
for good measure. Mother Nature is giving us the whole gambit.
